high maintenance things I do to be low maintenance when you become an adult and you start living your own life you start to realize just how much work it is to be someone who has their life put together who has their life sorted so when I discovered that having a maintenance routine where you basically set aside a few days in the month to reorganize everything to reorganize yourself so that you can look and feel your best and live peacefully the rest of the time my life leg legitimately changed so here are a few habits routines
and tricks that I invest time and money in periodically so that I can look and feel my best and I can live peacefully the rest of the time without these things occupying my mental space on a daily basis and of course for your ease of consumption they are divided into section the first is hair trimming now I don't do this very very frequently I'll do it once in 2 and 1 half 3 months probably uh where I just go get a trim done I have a very set hairstyle I like my hairstyle so I don't
like to change it but a lot of you have asked me what my hairstyle is it's nothing fancy it's just long layers and the back side is a u instead of a vshape and then in the front I do a face framing layers along with cotton bangs just for the front section so that is basically what my hair cutting routine is like it's a trim and I tend to stick to this because it suits my face shape the coton mags really help W like this fall sort of thing and I really like it and when
I have my hair open the face framing layers really help plus trimming and cutting your hair once every few months also ensures that you know all of your split ends are gone and then your hair is shiny and it's able to grow properly the next thing I do is oil my hair every single week I've increased the frequency in recent times but usually it's once a week and I use this little tool which also has like a red light thing at the end of it I don't know how beneficial radlight is but uh I was
feeling fancy so I invested in it and I like massaging my scalp with it I'll put my favorite oil in this right now I'm using a combination of olive oil Rosemary and bringadi oil from K Aura I mix all of them in this little bottle and then I apply it on my scalp massage it for about 20 minutes and I tend to do this on a Sunday because that is when I have time so it's a once a week routine I keep it on for 30 minutes and then I wash my hair so when I
was a kid my mom used to always oil my hair and as a result my hair was looking sleek and shiny all of the time but then in between life got in the way I stopped and now that I have returned to it I can tell you 100% that hair oiling is the best fraking hack that you can have for your hair so if you don't do it already go ahead invest time in doing so because it will change the quality of your hair and finally I use a hair growth serum on my clean scalp
once I've shampooed right now I'm using this one from forest Essentials which basically has renzel as the main ingredient and renzel is being studied a lot for its potential benefits for hair regrowth and as someone with PCOS hairfall is such a regular thing it just keeps coming and going so I find that investing in a good hair growth serum really really does help earlier I was using the soulflow one right now I have switched it up with this one from forest and I'm really liking it as well it just has a little bit of a
stronger smell then of course the soul flour one but let me see what the results turn out to be and I will get back to you on [Music] that and I feel like this is something that a lot of people Overlook when it comes to their maintenance habits or maintenance routines but I'm going to tell you what I do starting off with monthly hair trimming down there now I am not in favor of shaving or waxing down there although earlier I used to shave I feel that it makes you more susceptible to infections and that
is exactly what my G has also told me so I've stopped shaving I never waxed and I just do monthly trims just to groom the area down there a little bit better and to ensure that when I do have my period it's not just a lot of mess down there either the second thing I do is use Period Panties especially at night and when I am on the go because as a PCOS girly heavy flows can be such a nightmare to deal with especially because you don't know when it's going to happen and I am
not a fan of working hard on on my period that is why these Period Panties from NOA have been such a boon I always always have a pair in my bag at my house and I prefer to use these at night as opposed to pads or menstrual cups because then I don't have to worry about leaks and I also don't have to worry about changing anything so I can get a comfortable night sleep in and they are super useful during shoot days and long travel days as well I can just put them on and forget
about it they are super absorbent plus they're safe from harmful chemicals and salades which means you do not get rashes or irritation truly a period product that helps me stay low maintenance another thing I always have in my Arsenal especially when I'm out traveling on Long shoot days are Pandy liners girls you know this when you are out and about when you're traveling it is so easy for moisture to get trapped in your underwear and for it to stay like that till you go ahead and change it and that can lead to a host of
problems yeast infections other bacterial infections and that is not something that you want trust me so when I know that I'm going to have a long day I always line my underwear with the newa panty liners they have been a lifesaver and having the panty liners basically ensures that all of the moisture gets absorbed in that instead off in your underwear and then you can just change them out when you feel any sort of dampness Down Under And of course that also keeps your underwear free of any sort of bacterial buildup and keeps it dry
and the third thing that I always always have on me are intimate wipes now when I'm out and about and in public washrooms I do not prefer to use the toilet paper there because I don't know who has touched it and I don't want any sort of gerum contact with my downstairs area so I always carry this pack of NOA intimate ppes with me wherever I'm going they're always in my bag and if you can't already tell I am in love with noa's products they have been absolute game changers for my vaginal health absolutely absolutely
love them and coming back to the intimate wipes I use these to wipe down under throw them away they're disposable very very convenient very easy to use and of course they keep you fresh and safe down there I cannot tell you how instrumental these products have been in preventing U for me because I'm somebody who is prone to getting them but ever since I have started using a combination of all of these three things uh my instances of U have gone way down in fact I can't even remember the last time I had one and
that is is a boon trust me the next thing that I make sure that I do every single week for my downstairs area is to exfoliate the inner thigh region most of the times when we are exfoliating we forget about this area and it can have a lot of moisture build up it can have a lot of dead skin buildup that traps a lot of bacteria and that can get transferred to your vaginal area which is not a great thing so make sure if you don't already do this that every week you do exfoliate your
inner th region and that just helps keep things fresh down fair and finally checking yourself and doing a self-examination once about 6 months and you do this both for your breast examination and your vaginal exam uh you can't look inside yourself obviously for that you need a gynecologist but just doing an external examination just to see if there's any sort of buildup if there's any sort of foul smell just to stay on top of your health very very important because if you do have something you'll be able to catch it early on and when that
does happen if you do get something and if you catch it early on your prognosis your chances of recovery improve a lot so very very important to do self-examination both on your breast tisue and your downstairs area to ensure that you are staying on top of your health you know that I am very very consistent with my skin care but I feel like with the environment that we are living in we need to do something a little extra every once in a while to ensure that our skin stays at the top of its health so
one thing that I do on a monthly basis is facials and I like just getting a cleanup done where all of like my blackheads white heads are taken out I get a deep tissue face massage and that just ensures that my skin is radiant it's exfoliated any sort of dead skin or buildup is removed and I get like a really deep cleaning done and I absolutely love it I've tried multiple different facials but I think the regular one at my parlor works the best so that is what I go and get done the next thing
that that I do is shave my face about once a week or once in 10 days depending on what sort of growth I have I use this little tool from Brawn absolutely love it I used to use those uh single blade face razors earlier but I feel like they can sometimes overe exfoliate your skin ever since I've switched to this I have been loving it and anything that's extra or if there's any sort of hair that's you know darker or thicker I'll just tweeze it out or pluck it out and that just ensures that my
face is exfoliated that there's no Peach fuz my makeup goes on smooth like butter and I'm always feeling like my best self the next thing I do is plucking and tweezing my eyebrows now I tend to do this once every 20 days or once in a month because I just find eyebrow hair growth is not that fast especially for me so I don't need to do it on a very very regular basis I don't need to do it on a weekly basis but yeah once a month or once 20 once in about 20 days I'll
go ahead I'll pluck my eyebrow brows I'm going to make a short on how I do this like what my eyebrow shaping tweezing plucking routine is because for the life of me I cannot get threading done it is so painful and it looks so painful and people always come out with like red looking skin not for me but plucking and tweezing does not take up a lot of time does not cause a lot of pain either despite the fact that I'm still plucking out hair and it just is a lot more convenient I can do
it at home so that and of course my supplements and my collagen powder now this is something that I do on a day daily basis mostly if I have not forgotten to take my supplements that day uh but I take this one multivitamin for women from GMC I take collagen the Marine collagen powder from well-being nutrition absolutely love it but Marine collagen does not tastes the best so I tend to mix it with this skin fuel powder also from well-being which has a lot of these different vitamins L glutathion Etc and because it's orange flavored
it masks the taste of the collagen powder and it tastes nice and I also take my PCOS supplements which also come in the form of powders and they have also helped my skin immensely and yeah that's it for my [Music] supplements once a month I book a body massage once a month or once every 45 days depending on how busy my life is going and how much I'm working out in that particular month I will book a body massage and I kid you not when I say it is a game changer it will relax you
to the deepest level it will relax your muscles it will make all of that tension go away highly highly recommend if you can get it uh I know that a lot of parali D also do it a lot of daas also do it so whatever works you just need to get like a massage done it also helps with lymphatic drainage and it's honestly one of the best things that you can do for your body um if you can do it yourself that also works great but I think when we do it ourselves we can't reach
like the hard to reach areas and that makes it not as effective as when somebody body else is doing it the next thing I do is dry brushing I try and do this once a week before I shower it's a great exfoliating method it's also great for improving circulation in your body just helps overall with skin Health with circulation and also with exfoliation so it's like a triple whammy and it does not take a lot of time at all the trick is to just use a brush like this one and then do gentle upward motions
or Strokes basically towards your heart um and yeah that's about it it's not very complicated but it has massive benefits so if you have not tried it maybe try giving it a try then I get a pedicure done once a month I walk around barefoot in my house a lot and which is why I do tend to get a lot of dead skin accumulated on my feet and ever since I start getting pedicures I just love the process it's very relaxing it's very calming at the same time it makes your feel look and feel so
pretty and and I love that I love that ritual of going to The Parlor getting you know a new nail paint color done and stuff like that so yeah this time around I got some sort of like a foot mask spa pedicure thingy and it was very very fancy but I loved it but that this is the kind of thing that's reserved for like once in 6 months or something usually I just get a regular pedicure done then I have my shaving routine which is again a weekly thing or like once in two week sort
of thing depending on my growth thankfully the despite having PCOS uh the hair growth on the rest of my body is not extreme I thank God for that every single day which means that I don't have to invest in laser which means I don't have to invest in waxing on a very regular basis I do my shaves they last me a couple of weeks and then I just go ahead and do them again and I use this razor I lather it up I either use body wash or I'll use conditioner and that just ensures that
I get like the smoothest shav ever and I exfoliate before I shave so that if there's any sort of ingrown hair that has happened it comes out and I get a smooth shave and exfoliating also prevents you from having ingrown hair in the future so I've never had the problem of strawberry legs ever because I have always kind of followed this routine and then finally we have gel nails at home I am already due for my next appointment with myself of doing gel nails I already have a short coming out for you guys on how
I do my gel nails or maybe it's already out we'll see depending on when this video goes live uh but yeah they're due for an upgrade now and I do these at home it takes about 2 and 1 half 3 hours to do like both hands and do it properly so I will usually do this once a month I will take time out at night sit down with all of my equipment and do it by myself because going to a salon and getting it done is a very expensive and most of the salons in India
are not using like the nail tools that you you like I use they just keep doing it with the nail filer and that tends to make my cuticles raw and painful and I don't like that at all so doing it myself is actually been great there's not a lot of high maintenance stuff here but a few things that I do on a monthly or a weekly basis are one dry cleaning all my clothes I tend to put all of my dry cleaning off till one day in the month when I have you know stuff to
give so that I don't have to keep track of and all of that stuff right so any fancy clothes that I've worn anything that's Indian that I've worn all that goes for dry cleaning and I'll do it once a month and that just ensures more peace of mind for me and clean clothes in my closet I also reorganize my cupboard about once a month or once every 2 months uh where I take out clothes that I have not worn in a while that I don't seem to be wearing anymore that I know that I'm not
going to wear anymore they will most likely be given away to somebody who needs them or uh they go to my younger cousins if they want anything out of that and um yeah I like to do this about once every 45ish days or every 60 days and this just ensures that my cupboard is not very cluttered that I always have pieces that I'm going to wear I know I'm going to wear and that if somebody else is getting better use out of my clothes they do so and if I bought anything else also that gets
worn and you know not sent to the back of the pile and finally I clean my jewelry again it's not a monthly thing it's more like a two month or once and three month thing where all the gold and silver jewelry that I wear that tends to get a little bit oxidized it tends to get like a little bit of Gunk build up on it especially the ones that I wear every day like my rings my chain Etc and cleaning them once in a while is a great great way to ensure you know that they
have longer shelf life they're not catching mold they're not giving me any sort of skin infections and overall otherwise for um you know fashion jewelry and stuff like that I try and wear tarnish free pizzas so they don't require a lot of cleaning but again once in a while I will disinfect them because I wear them out and I don't want to have a lot of ger build up in my house and in my jewelry organizer a lot of you guys were asking where I get my jewelry uh from so I'm going to link a
few sources in the description so you guys can go check out those website but for the daily wear ones they are precious metals so either gold or silver I don't wear artificial jewelry on regular days only when I'm going out I will wear tanishree jewelry and that is something that I'll link down below I love how I live I'm very very grateful to be able to live on my own and I like taking care of my place so a few things that I do on a daily basis I have an end shift routine at night
where I will basically reorganize my desk I will put everything in place if anything is become out of place I will clean my cat's litter I will will clean the area surrounding the litter and then I will put my handy little Robo vacuum to work this is honestly one of the best investments I have ever made this little tiny device will vacuum my entire house will mop my entire house while I'm sleeping and I don't have to wake up and worry about a dirty house absolutely love it once a week I will dust everything I
do not have a me for cleaning I have a Dei who comes and cooks for me uh but that's about it I don't like too many people coming in and out of the house so I don't have a made for cleaning which is why once a week I will go on a dusting spree I will dust every surface in the house uh make sure that it's spotless make sure that it is clean I will also go ahead and vacuum my seating area so my sofas this one here the one in the living room uh and
when I change my bed sheet once a week I will also vacuum the bed to ensure that there's no sort of dust trapped in the mattress itself then of course there is weekly cleaning of bed sheets all of the Linens all of the towels Etc all in the washing machine washing them drying them all of that jazz and once a month I will go ahead and wash uh the foot mats the curtains all of those things to ensure that everything is pick and span it's clean and I'm not inhaling dust essentially and once a month
I will also go in with a disinfectant cleaner which is pet friendly to wipe off all the surfaces because when you have cats there is cat hair everywhere so it's good to just sort of like disinfect your areas I do dust on a weekly basis but on a monthly basis I'll just go ahead and and disinfect these surfaces so that they are not inhaling or eating any sort of toxic stuff and neither am I so as a part of my financial planning and my financial routine I do sips or systematic investment plans which gets cut
from my account once a month so all of my investment happens at in one chunk at the beginning of the month and that ways I know that I've invested all of the money that I need to invest and I don't need to worry about saving every little penny here and there and figuring out oh my God how will I save up for this investment later on right so invest and save before I do anything else with my money and I have made this a monthly habit happens at the beginning of every month and I absolutely
love it the next thing I do is budgeting and checking my expenses and my balance Etc at the end of every month I anyways have to do this for GST purposes but doing it and staying on top of how much money I'm spending in a month how much money is coming in uh what are my expenses like all of that jazz just just helps me have more peace of mind and be more aware of where my money is going and what I need to do with my money to make it grow and of course paying
all of my bills all of my dues my credit card dues the salaries any sort of other bills you know electricity Wi-Fi all of that jazz I have synced it up to come and happen at the beginning of every month so at the beginning of every month as soon as I get a payout from somewhere I will clear these bills after I have invested the money that ensures that I am staying on top of my finances so yeah those were the high maintenance things I do every single month and a few of them every single
