And where did the murder suspect sleep before he carried out the attack? The NYPD believes that the suspect booked a room here at this hospital on the upper West side not too far from central park.
As you can imagine, a lot of tourists feeling shocked that they were sleeping under the same roof as a man who become a murder suspect. And tonight we're getting new photos of the suspects smiling and without a mask on photos of the person. Police say gunned down United Healthcare, Ceo Brian Thompson in midtown Manhattan, the previously masked man now unmasked even smiling in one photo in the lobby of the High New York City hostel on the corner of 103rd street in Amsterdam Avenue.
It's unclear when the suspect checked in. But law enforcement sources say the person you see in these photos checked out yesterday, our sources tell news four that police are looking into whether he paid cash and used a fake ID to book his bunk bed at the hostel. I was shocked.
Of course, John Nielsen, a tourist from Denmark says this is the dorm room on the fourth floor where the suspect slept on a bunk bed with other men who likely had no idea who they may have been rooming with. I think he shared a room like us four or six persons. So he shared with some who was pretty shocked because they tried to get into the room but they couldn't because the police said they need to have some kind of investigation.
Officers flooded the hostel last night asking guests if they had any interactions with the messed up man on the fourth floor. That's the part of the world to traveling that you can meet bad guys. I didn't want to stay on the fourth floor.
So I was like, can you move me to another floor? And thanks to those news photos, the NYPD is hoping to use facial recognition technology to try and find a match. We also know that the suspect was at a Starbucks before the shooting where he apparently purchased a bottle of water as well as to protein bars.
And police officers have managed to recover that evidence that the latest year from the upper West side of Melissa Colorado here.
