now ask yourself where's your hope what's your hope built on what ground do you stand on I want to encourage you to make sure that you are rooted in Jesus Christ make sure that you are anchored in the one who died and rose again make sure that your hope your faith is built on the Firm Foundation that is the Son of God my hope my hope is in the living and active word of God it offers hope for the sick hope for broken relationships Hope For The Sinner and hope for the struggling believer the certainty

of your hope should be based on the word of God because in the beginning was the word and the Word was with God and the Word was God that's what makes it so powerful more powerful than a two-edged sword so when in doubt be grounded in the word of God take the example of Daniel in the Bible although he was thrown into the lion's den he was unshakable in his faith he was Anchored In Jesus look at Paul and Silas beaten and chained up in a dark prison but they still found the faith to pray

and praise the Lord at midnight why because they knew that the one whom they were anchored to was greater than their circumstances they knew that Jesus Christ was greater than those chains he was greater than any punishment they would face so even if all the odds are against you continue to trust in the Lord and He will raise up a standard against the enemy when we expose our areas of weakness and present them to the Lord he'll take what's broken in us and make it whole he will heal us of every stronghold every addiction every

sin that has ever held us down if you struggle with unfor forgiveness God can soften your heart if you struggle with lust God Can Make You pure if you struggle with lying God can make you a person of Integrity he can break every cycle no matter what you've done or who you've been or how long you've been living in sin Jesus can transform your life in fact he wants to I want to begin by telling you that you may be hard pressed on every side but you are not crushed you might be discouraged but you're

not destroyed although you are perplexed you have not been driven to despair the bottom line is regardless of how bad or messed up you think your situation is you are not forsaken 1 John 4:4 says Little Children You are from God and have overcome them for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world Saints the one who is in you the one who's in your heart the one who is called Jesus Christ he is powerful he's more powerful than the one who is in the world now if you really

knew this if you really believed this if you are convicted that Jesus Christ your lord and savior is greater than he who is in the world if you believed this then you would be confident in every battle you would be confident even when you're under attack you see when you believe that he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world you won't waver in your faith if you truly believe that he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world you will call upon his name you

would call on the name of Jesus Christ and he will be your rescue Victory is certain with Jesus Christ The Devil May attack you he might scheme against you but the one thing he cannot do is take away the hope that you have in Jesus Christ he can never take away the faith that you have in Jesus Christ and so so long as you have faith nothing is impossible the Amplified translation for Matthew 21: 21 it says Jesus replied to them I assure you and most solemnly say to you if you have faith personal trust

and confidence in me and do not doubt or allow yourself to be drawn in two directions you will not only do what was done to the Fig Tree but even if you say to this mountain be taken up and thrown into the sea it will happen if God wills it if you have faith in Jesus if you trust him if you have confidence in him then you will never be crushed by the enemy you will never be led to despair by the enemy you won't be destroyed or broken by the evil one and it's all

because you have faith faith knows greater is he who is in me than he who is in the world God sees you he sees you there he sees your struggle he sees every single tear every cry even The Silent Ones Paul said in 2 Corinthians we are hard pressed on every every side but not crushed perplexed but not in despair persecuted but not abandoned struck down but not destroyed and I want you to really grab this hard pressed on every side meaning no matter where I go or what I do there's pressure there's opposition something

is constricting you trying to immobilize you and stop you but despite the pressure regardless of the opposition you are not crushed we are not crushed as children of God and Paul continued perplexed but not in despair meaning life has me puzzled and confused it's got me asking questions like what should I do now why me but here's the thing perplexed I may be but I still have hope I still have faith that it'll work out for my good persecute shuted but not abandoned people may be looking at you sideways people may be walking away from

you people may be thinking you're doing the most you're doing too much when it comes to things of God but only you know how far you've come with God only you understand why you praise the way that you do and finally Paul says struck down but not destroyed sometimes life hurts but there's always healing in Christ I may have been knocked down but I can still move I may have been knocked down but I am not defeated friends Jesus offers hope in the midst of our pain the Lord is never too busy for you but

how can he help you unless you go to him every now and then something comes along in our lives and reminds us we are not in charge something comes up to remind us that we're not in control we're not as strong as we thought we were we're not as prepared as we thought we were and that we are far more vulnerable than we have ever dreamed of and I believe this is why 1 Corinthians 10:12 says if you think you are standing strong be careful not to fall and so we need to have some humility

in our lives if things are well with you then praise be to God but don't look down at others who are struggling no one is immune to the Troubles of Life the most prayerful Christian you know has their own personal battles the nicest person you've met that person who always has a smile on their face that person also has their own challenges but dear listener let me tell you this regardless of the burden you're facing regardless of the struggle you're in the Lord has you on his heart God has promised to be with you no

matter what happens to you the Lord has said I will never leave you nor will I forsake you so if you're timid or afraid take heart the Lord has said he will never leave you if you're ashamed of your sin if you feel bad and remorseful repent and take heart God will never leave you if you feel unqualified take heart God will never leave you this promise is true today and tomorrow and the day after tomorrow and all the days after that you and I cannot outlive God's mercy we cannot outlive the promises of God

they will always outlive us because his word stands true forever now so many people are blind to this truth and being blind to God's promises is the reason why so so many people are plagued with worry and fear so many people's hearts are weighed down because they have not opened themselves up to the truth in God's promises and when you're blind to this truth you're worried about this that and everything else when my health hold up will I live to see my grandkids singles wonder if they will ever marry married couples look at all the

divorces and wonder if they'll make it will I ever be able to make enough money to afford this or that these are some of the things that keep people awake at night some people wake up and the enemy they face is called depression others wake up and their enemy is worry some will find that the minute they open their eyes that giant adversary called anxiety or disease is looking at them straight in the face but perhaps the underlying force or Spirit behind many negative feelings is fear fear will cause someone to be anxious all the

time fear will displace the joy in someone's life and leave them dejected depressed and feeling hopeless fear will magnify the tragedy and blind you to everything else that is good or everything else that is a blessing from God you see fear is more than just a negative thought it's more than an emotion fear is a Spirit 2 Timothy 1: 7 says for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self self-control the Amplified translation elaborates and says for God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or

fear but he has given us the spirit of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline abilities that result in a calm well-balanced mind and self-control fear is a spirit the Bible does not say God did not give us a feeling or an emotion called fear no it says he didn't give us a spirit of fear the spirit of fear lies the spirit of fear comes to sabotage your faith and ransack your belief the spirit of fear is a paralyzing Spirit the spirit of fear is one of the devil's weapons of choice

because of how it can consume the mind and heart of a person and as children of God we need to know this and rebuke this Spirit from our lives in the innermost parts of our hearts we need to be convinced persuaded and sure that God has given us a spirit of love power and a sound mind nowhere on that list does it say God gave us a spirit of fear so why do so many of us accept it in our lives why do we fall victim to it time and time again pray against this spirit

and rebuke it from your life Saints there is power in the name of Jesus Christ There Is Power in the Blood of Jesus Jesus Christ and as children of God we ought to know this we ought to come against this Spirit by making sure we are covered by the blood of Jesus Christ we can come against the spirit of fear by making sure our lives are Anchored In God's word and in his promises as you build your faith you block out the spirit of fear fear and faith do not mix they are complete opposites so

if you'll take just one thing away from my message today let it be this God has not given you a spirit of fear he has given you a spirit of power love and a sound mind Deuteronomy 31:8 says it is the Lord who goes before you he will be with you he will not leave you or forsake you do not fear or be dismayed this is God's word to you he will not leave you he will not forsake you he will finish the work he called you to do everything God has for us is contained

in these simple words I will never leave you whatever you need from the Lord he will supply it because he will never leave you if you feel inadequate that's good because you will depend even more on the Lord God never starts anything he does not finish Ephesians chapter 3: 16-17 says I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his spirit in your inner being so that Christ May dwell in your hearts through faith and I pray that you being rooted and established in love notice that the Bible says

so that Christ May dwell in your hearts through faith Jesus Christ will only dwell in your heart when there is faith faith dispels fear Faith calms a troubled heart faith is the cure for a troubled heart God's word tells us not to let our hearts be troubled it's telling us to have faith have faith that Jesus Christ will save you and rescue you from anything you could face in this life Psalm 50:15 says call upon me in the day of TR trouble I will deliver you and you shall glorify me God wants you to call

him he says trust me in your times of trouble and I will rescue [Music] you in my distress I called to the Lord I cried to my God for help from his Temple he heard my voice My Cry came before him into his ears is it not comforting to know that we serve a God who will answer us when we are in distress we serve a God who hears our cries and so dear listener when you go through difficulties in life when you face difficult situations within your family your health or in any area of

your life you may be wondering where is God taking me why is God allowing this to happen to me if you've ever asked any of those questions remember that in your distress you can call on the Lord and I also want to remind you that Romans 8:28 says and we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them I love that the Bible says God causes everything to work together note that this statement is in the present tense God causes

he causes is everything to work together this gives me great hope because it means that all things are continually working together for our good as children of God the idea that God can allow certain things to happen in your life in order to test you can be difficult for some people to understand and so what does the Bible say concerning this well James 1 verse 2:3 consider it pure joy my brothers and sisters whenever you face Trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance this is the reality that

we find in scripture our faith must be tested and perhaps Proverbs Chapter 17:3 will give us a better understanding of why the testing of our faith is necessary fire tests the purity of silver and gold but the Lord tests the heart in other words just as silver and gold are purified by fire so the Lord purifies the hearts of men if you want to refine gold you use the furnace and if the heart of man is to be refined the Lord tests the heart meaning that my faith and your faith must stand trial at one

point or another our natural tendency as humans is to think that if something seems unpleasant then it must not be from God but we must realize that God sees things quite differently than we do the trials that God allows in our lives are meant to make us complete so that we lack nothing as Believers Trials come for our development as Christians Trials come so that we can build on the current level of faith we have and reach Greater Heights that's why the Bible says the testing of your faith produces perseverance the testing of our faith

leads to spiritual maturity this should change the way we view hardship and how we should respond to those difficult times in our lives the reality is that God is always at work in his children and the ultimate goal is that we become a reflection of Christ we are to be conformed into the image of Christ having our minds renewed and our hearts refined so dear listener if you're going through something right now so long as you keep your trust in God Almighty he causes everything to work together you may not see how you may not

know when but we can hold to the promise that God causes everything to work together doesn't this just encourage you in your spirit to know that God is presently working in all situations through all situations he's working it all together for good he's arranging and he's rearranging all things in your life so that it may be well with you so as Believers we ought to be grateful that in every situation it doesn't matter what it is though it may be unpleasant though it may be painful God is shaping everything for your good he's moving he's

aligning he's connecting you with this person and removing you from that person also that things will work out for your good so for someone listening at this moment you may be right in the middle of the toughest situation you've ever faced you may be hurting maybe you've simply given up but let me tell you this the Amplified translation for Romans 8:28 says and we know with great confidence that God who is deep concerned about us causes all things to work together as a plan for good for those who love God to those who are called

according to his plan and purpose God will cause this hurt your feeling he'll cause it to work out for your good good will come out of your situation regardless of how tough or how painful it is right now God will cause this situation the one that you think may be too much for you he'll cause it to work for your good and so as we prepare to go to God In Prayer let's keep all this in mind let's not let what we see speak louder than what we know the word says and we know we

know with great confidence that God cares about us he's concerned about us and no matter what it looks like now he's working it for our good Lord we thank you we thank you for being good you've been good to us although we have not deserved it we're Beyond grateful for all that you've done for us Lord Jesus you've been so faithful you've kept us you've preserved us you've been faithful to pull us through some of life's toughest and most trying times thank you for your word that tells us all things will work together all things

are working together for our good I pray that everything the devil meant for harm you King Jesus will turn it into good every trap that the enemy has set may it become a stepping stone for us Lord every attack that comes against our families I pray that you would not only block these evil attacks but turn them around for our good we declare that no weapon formed against us as your children will prosper Psalm 37 veres 3-6 trust in the Lord and do good dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture take Delight in the

Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart commit your way to the Lord trust in him and he will do this he will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn your Vindication like the Noonday Sun you are not only a merciful god but you are a faithful God faithful to protect us in the day of trouble you're faithful to be our refuge during trying times you're faithful to answer us whenever we call for help and so our faith is in you King Jesus you are the anchor to our souls you're the

one who makes us to lie down in Green Pastures you King Jesus you prepare a table for us in the presence of our enemies meaning that we may have enemies enemies who plot and scheme against us but they will have no power over us in Jesus name the devil and his demons they have no power over us they will not cause damage nor destruction in our homes or in our lives in Jesus name Lord we declare psalm 91:7 a thousand may fall at your side and 10,000 at your right hand but it shall not come

near you it's because of your goodness that we can hold on to this word although this world may be hostile to us as children of God we succeed because your favor goes before us although this world may persecute us we will rejoice because the joy of the Lord is our strength and so hear our prayer Lord may you turn everything that is painful in our lives turn it to work out for our good may you turn the bad into blessings the lack into abundance restore unto us everything that the enemy has stolen God your word

in Deuteronomy 30: 2 and 3 says and you return to the Lord your God and obey his voice according to all that I command you today you and your children with all your heart and with all your soul that the Lord your God will bring you back from captivity and have compassion on you and gather you again from all the nations where the Lord your God has scattered you we hold on to this word help us to be obedient to you to be obedient to your voice it's in Jesus name that we pray amen I

believe that there is no way that you could know the word of God and know the promises of God and not be filled with strength and confidence because if you need protection there's a promise for that in God's word if you need peace there's a promise for that in the word of God if you're fighting with anxiety if you're feeling lonely there is is a promise that addresses that in the Bible so you need to know Matthew 11:28 which says come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest

that's a promise if you're tired Jesus Christ offers you rest if you're being weighed down by your burdens Jesus Christ offers you rest this is a promise that we should know during those times when life seems to be overwhelming now Isaiah 40:29 says he gives power to the weak and to those who have no might he increases strength that's a promise John 14: 27 peace I leave with you my peace I give you I do not give to you as the world gives do do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid

that is a promise now please understand that the devil will do everything he can to distract you and to sway you from focusing on the Promises of God so be aware of the enemy and his schemes he will attack you with doubts he will attack you with feelings of condemnation guilt and shame but whenever you hear the devil Whispering his lies when he tries to tell you that you will never be forgiven for what you've done when he whispers and tells you that you'll never be able to move on from your past or if he

tries to tell you that you are unloved and unwanted I want you to remember this promise in Romans 8 verse 38-39 the Bible says for I am convinced that neither death nor life neither angels nor demons neither the present nor the future nor any powers neither height nor depth not anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Jesus Christ Our Lord so don't ever be insecure about your identity don't ever be unsure of where you stand with God God the Bible says nothing is able

to separate us from the love of the Lord so when problems arise when battles are before us when we experience spiritual warfare the word of God has to be a source of constant reassurance to us it must be that which ignites the fire in our faith the Bible says in James 1:22 but be doers of the word and not hearers only deceiving yourselves the Bible here is saying prove yourselves to be people who put the word of God in practice prove that you obey God's principles his instructions and his precepts prove that you're not merely

listeners who hear the word but fail to internalize its meaning prove that you're not just listeners who hear the word even know the word but fail to do the word and the last couple of words in this verse are interesting because the Bible is telling us that if you do this if you hear the word but fail to do the word then you are actually deceiving yourself you are deluding yourselves it's not the devil deceiving you no you deceive yourself should you hear the word but fail to act on it we always think that Deception

comes from Satan from the Antichrist from some demonic false teacher but something as simple as knowing God's word but failing to do it that is an act of deception towards yourself because how can you claim to love Christ but fail to obey him how can you say you are a Christian striving to be Christ like but yet fail to Bow the knee to Bow your will and Obey him the Amplified translation for James 1: 22- 24 says but prove yourselves doers of the word actively and continually obeying God's precepts and not merely listeners who hear

the word but fail to internalize its meaning did deluding yourselves by unsound reasoning contrary to the truth for if anyone only listens to the word without obeying it he is like a man who looks very carefully at his natural face in a mirror for once he has looked at himself and gone away he immediately forgets what he looked like so let me ask you a few questions concerning God's word in your life are you using God's word as a lamp to your feet are you obeying God's word and putting it into practice I do not

believe that anyone can be a doer of God's word without being challenged by it God's word has to challenge you and it will challenge you when you really try and put it into action it tells you to pray without ceasing that's challenging we all know how busy our lives are but in order to be a doer of the word you need to pray without ceasing the word tells you to love your neighbor as you love yourself that's challenging because some people will test you they'll test your patience they will test your character but God's word

also tells you to be long suffering and slow to anger do you see what I mean the good fight of faith it involves being changed and challenged by the word of God and I would venture to say if you're not being challenged by the word of the Lord then you are probably cherry-picking the parts you do like the promises that make you feel good and protected over the word of God in its entirety especially when it comes to your character so pray Saints pray that you would be a doer of the word [Music]
