imagine earning money for something that you already love which is listening to music the platform that I'm about to share with you will actually pay you up to $14 per track for your feedback and the platform is available worldwide so in this video today rockstars I'm going to walk through one how this platform Works two the potential earnings three the methods that you're going to get paid paid with the platform's reputation which is so important and some pros and cons that you can consider before diving in by the end of this video you're going to
have a very clear road map as to how you can make money from listening to music [Music] rock welcome back to the Rockstar Academy and thank you so much for your support in showing up here and watching these videos I'm very grateful I'm also grateful for the interaction in the comments for those of you who share your thoughts and share your views and on that note let me declare here that everything I share is not for everyone that's exactly why I share such a wide crosssection of options to earn what I'm about to share may
not work for for you but that doesn't mean it doesn't work especially considering that there's so many people out there doing exactly this and making money it may just not be the best fit for you or you may just not be willing to do what it requires to succeed I want you to keep that in mind as you watch this video now the platform that I'm about to introduce you to is sound campaign and sound campaign is a music marketing website that actually connects Independent Artists with playlist curators and don't worry I'm going to explain
all that and exactly what it means for you rock stars its main purpose is to help artists get exposure by placing their tracks on popular Spotify playlist I'm going to dumb that one down as well to make sure that people like you and I can understand it clearly for what is reference ref to as playlist curators and I'll explain this soon sound campaign actually offers a way to earn some extra cash by allowing these persons to review and potentially add new tracks to their own playlist now let's break down how exactly does sound campaign work
first you're going to need to sign up and signing up is free and I'm going to pop the link up here on screen so you can just quickly freeze the screen or screenshot it and then then enter it afterwards once you are registered you'll start getting songs from different artists and these artists they actually want your honest feedback to help them to improve and reach more potential listeners after you listen to a song you then leave a review and think about it like you telling a friend what you think about a new song that you
just listened to that's the type of review that will get you paid on this platform you might actually say you loved it or you can say it needs a little bit more work or you can say it's not your style or your genre the comment is really up to you just make sure it's honest and it's constructive if you really like a song that you listen to you can then add it to your playlist that you have created using spotify and you can actually do this free as I'll share later in this video now artists
actually love it when people like you and I add their songs to our playlist because it actually helps them to get discovered for each song that you review and add to your playlist you can earn up to $14 Us and how much of that $14 you earn will differ and I'll explain why later in the video obviously the more songs you review the more money you're going to make however rock stars all all that said to qualify to earn this $14 per song with sound campaign you must have at least 1,000 followers on Spotify and
I'm now going to tell you exactly how you can create an account on Spotify free and build up your Following over time it's not going to happen tomorrow it may not happen next week it may take a year but you have to ask yourself is it worth it because I know for me it would be if I had the bandwidth because I love listening to music and I would get an opportunity to listen to music to provide my feedback and earn up to $14 so I would put the effort in that's required to succeed and
rock stars there's nobody paying me to talk about anything that I'm about to share in this video I'm sharing it because of the kind of feedback I'm seeing out there from persons who are using this platform to make money that said let's talk about how to grow your Spotify by following to 1,000 followers you're first going to sign up to Spotify and I'm going to pop up the Spotify website URL right on screen here so that you can easily type it into your browser and get started you're then going to click sign up if you're
creating a new account which I suspect most of you will be and then you're going to enter things like your email your password and your username your username is what people will see to identify you next you're going to choose your subscription type and I recommend that you choose free because we're getting all of this done free but there's a premium option that you can explore as well it's not required for you to make money this way you then complete the sign up process and then you move to step two which is where we're going
to set up a profile here I recommend that you add things like a photo and a short bio so that it can help your followers to connect with who's behind this page make sure your username and profile are something that looks appealing to potential followers the third step is to create playlist with your account ready you're going to click create playist to start a new one make sure you give your playlist an interesting name and add a description that makes people want to listen and you can use a platform like chat GPT to say my
playlist country and western give me a great description for my Spotify playlist that's engaging and that's going to convince people to click play and listen and chat GPT is going to give you the verbiage with the free version that you can easily copy and paste right here I also recommend that you add a cover art by clicking on the cover area to upload a custom image and you can get that image from canva and it just needs to represent present the playlist let's say that playlist is regga music you may want to have some reggae
colors and some regga instruments and maybe some pictures of Reggae artists that are popular and welln ensure however that you're not breaching any copyright issues although it won't stop you from earning they'll just notify you and you can fix it again you don't need to pay to create playlist on Spotify both the free and premium users can create playlists can edit them and can share them now after you have created your playlist the next step is to grow your following for your playlist and I recommend that you start with your friends and family and share
your playlist with them you can also share it on social media or in music communities there are many of them out there you can also join Facebook groups that's about music or listening to tracks and songs and Reddit communities or other forums where people look for playlist recommendations because yes often times people on those platforms will recommend their playlist and there's an audience there who's looking for those recommendations you're also going to update your playlist regularly this is going to be critical to keep it interesting for your listeners and to attract new following interact of
course with your listen listeners if you're sharing your playlist on social media and answer their questions and take their feedback of course the constructive feedback that is and you can also add your playlist to some popular sites out there like sound plate or playlists.net where people are looking for new playlists to follow there are many ways to get this done and while again it won't happen overnight if you follow these steps it increases the probability of it happening much sooner next you're going to name your playlist with relevant words like relaxing jazz or best rock
hits and that way you can help people to find it when they're searching now let's talk about how much we can earn now as I mentioned earlier there's a criteria of a th000 followers that you need to achieve before you start earning for the songs that you're sharing in your playlist once you have the 1,000 followers you'll start getting song suggestions for your review and you can stream songs onspotify without paying using the free version so there's nothing here that you're going to have to pay for however with the free version just like on YouTube
ads May pop up here and there that you're going to need to either skip or watch depending on your own preferences now each review requires you to provide like I said earlier constructive feedback about the track that's going to give the artists valuable insights now as it pertains to how much you'll be able to earn with sound campaign again they claim to pay up to $14 per song for providing feedback after you have listened the actual amount that you will earn may vary based on the budget of the particular campaign for that particular artist or
for that particular song it may be influenced by your play list follower account as well because if you have 100,000 followers versus a th000 followers you're likely going to earn more and also it's going to be influenced and can be influenced by your engagement metrics let's take a hypothetical situation and let's say you're able to review 10 songs in a week at $10 per song we're not even assuming the maximum $14 we're keeping it conservative at $10 you would earn $100 for that week for the 10 songs that you have reviewed with consistent weekly reviews
this could add up to around $400 per month now SoundCloud actually will transfer this money directly to your bank account or to your PayPal account however some users have reported the occasional delays so make sure you are aware and realize that the payment May not always happen immediately but I've not yet seen a user that said they didn't get paid that leads me to the reputation and the legitimacy of this particular platform sound campaign has built a reputation as a reliable platform for both curators and artists they actually have a high score on trust pilot
as you can see here and the platform has generally positive reviews especially among playlist creat who appreciate the opportunity to earn money for their feedback that said the level of success may vary depending on who is doing what as I shared earlier also not every song reviewed will necessarily be a good fit for every playlist so you may review a song and you find that you don't want it to be added to a particular playlist now with everything out there they're pros and cons here are a few of the cons that I thought was worth
mentioning based on some of the feedback that I saw from a lot of the platform users there's what's referred to as genre mismatches and this is where some creators have actually reported receiving songs outside of their playlist genre so as an example let's say your playlist is regga you may get songs that are country music that's going to happen this actually will make it a little bit challenging to provide relevant feedback or to add the track to your playlist so you may lose the opportunity to earn there I didn't see that it happened a lot
but it did happen occasionally so I want to mention it to you here also like I said earlier sometimes the payment is delayed but I've never seen anyone say they didn't receive payment what the platform has said is that this is the case sometimes during High trffic periods and obviously the con that I mentioned earlier is that to earn it's going to require an established playlist and new Spotify users or those without a sizable following on Spotify won't be able to earn from Sone campaign initially until you grow your playlist to at least a th000
organic followers now after all of that if you still want to get started again you just visit sound camp campaign's website and I'm popping it up here on screen again and this is not an affiliate link after creating your account on sound campaign you're going to connect it to your Spotify playlist and this is after you have grown the playlist to a th000 organic followers and by organic I mean it can't be Bots and it needs to be real people you then start receiving song suggestions that are tailored to your playlist genre you then provide
feedback and again it needs to be honest and then you add the track to your playlist if the song Fits your playlist now is sound campaign worth it rockstars you're going to have to make that decision for yourself like I said repeatedly it's going to take a while for you to get those 1,000 organic followers it's a fantastic option however for playlist curators like myself I actually have multiple playlists that I use for different Seasons like for Christmas I have soul music playlist all kind of different playlist so this is ideal for me if I
had the bandwidth but if you're already passionate about discovering new music and sharing it with your followers this may be ideal for you that said it's not free money you're going to have to do some work to get it all the best and until next time walk good [Music] he show the way
