How To ACTUALLY Trade Memecoins (Full Guide 2024)

guys mem coins have taken the World by storm in 2024 not only is crypto back I mean just go look at the charts but more importantly literal kids are turning pennies into millions buying coins named after dogs cats dogs with Hats frogs and I'm here to explain how you can get in on all of the fun with the bull market here and more money piling into meme coins every single day you're honestly doing yourself a disservice if you don't learn how to play these markets because at this point whether or not you think it's stupid that buying coins about animals is one of the biggest wealth creation hacks in 2024 it's true and it is here so whether you are a complete beginner or already super deep in crypto by the end of this video you're going to know every single step required to start making money with meme coins with that said we have no time to waste let's get into exactly what you were going to learn in this video and by the way guys if you already know some of this stuff feel free to just m over the bottom of this video and Skip forward to the parts that best serve you I'm just here to be a resource anyway first in this video you're going to learn exactly what memec coins are and why they are so hot second you're going to get walked through exactly how to actually acquire the cryptocurrency that you're going to need in order to trade these coins third you're going to learn how to transfer that to what's called a self- custodial wallet so that you can actually buy meme coins fourth you're going to get some basic rules of thumb to always follow in these markets to make sure right most crypto projects that come out most coins on the market are tied to some application some technology some use case some game meme coins are not they are literally just a crypto coin with a trading value attached to a meme and if more people buy them then are selling them the price goes up and vice versa which is why meme coins are always looking to create these big viral moments that cause a bunch of people to feel fomo and start buying it wondering if it's going to be the next Dogecoin the next big thing I wonder why they call crypto a Ponzi third they typically have a very very cheap price per token because these things have massive token supplies which leads to something called Unit bias which in short is for example when somebody sees a coin like Dogecoin trading for 0. 003 cents buys a bunch of tokens because they're super cheap and then thinks things like oh if this just went to a dollar I'd have a billion trillion dollars even though it would require a ludicrous amount of money and people buying in to get it to that price but Dogecoin went to like 7 cents so what do I know but what you really need to understand about meme coins is that you are just betting on future attention right what memes are people going to like in the future what has the possibility to go viral because viral moments are a huge part of meme coin success we can look back at what happened with Dogecoin with Elon talking about it on SNL Dogecoin went on to be the eighth largest cryptocurrency in the entire world which speaks to the fact that Meme coins have the possibility to go absolutely huge and you cannot ignore these things so you can think these coins are stupid you can think they're pointless but they're here to stay Dogecoin is up literally 37,000 per from its lows wh a token that became popular very recently is up 5,000% from its lows it's called dog with hat the meme is a small dog with a knitted hat on its head it's up 5 ,000% from its lows there is ridiculous money to be made here if you can put aside any you know logical hesitation that you have about it because at the end of the day meme coins are crypto in its purest form and if we're being honest 99% of you are only here to speculate on coins anyway your only intention is to buy a coin when it's low and sell it when it's high you don't care about the functionality or the technology or the use case of any of these coins and really no one does right so mem coins just strip away all of the pretending and allow everyone to just do what they want to do in crypto anyway which is buy coins and hope they pump because other people want to buy them so with that said let's get into step two which is how you can actually participate in this ecosystem so for step two we're going to show the first thing that you actually have to do in order to start buying meme coins which is actually to go and acquire some cryptocurrency on a centralized exchange now I have pulled up right now coinbase which is one of the most popular centralized exchanges in the entire world you could use something like cracken or one of manyi exchanges but coinbase for the vast majority of you guys is going to be the simplest option you're going to have to go and create an account which is very self-explanatory so I'm not going to show you guys how to do that and once you are in here you're going to perform a few simple initial steps now the two most popular cryptocurrency ecosystems within which meme coins are traded are ethereum and salana and without getting too much into the weeds for you guys the first thing that you're going to have to do is buy a bit of ethereum and a bit of salana in order to get started here so you're going to go on a site like coinbase you're going to go to ethereum you're going to buy a bit of that right and let's say you just want to start with A1 of each that is fine you're going to purchase a hundred US of each of those so I'll go ahead and do that for the sake of this video now let's get the salon all right guys as you can see we have acquired about $100 worth of salana and $100 worth of ethereum now let's get into the next step in order to be able to actually trade memec coins with this crypto you just bought so for the next step now that you've bought a little bit of salana and a little bit of ethereum on a centralized exchange you're going to have to make what is called a self-coded crypto wallet to send those cryptocurrencies to to then use to trade meme coins now I'm going to recommend that you guys use a wallet called Phantom this is the easiest the most robust the best crypto wallet on the market right now because it's going to allow you to hold both salana and ethereum and a number of other cryptocurrencies which are all operating on different blockchains all in one wallet so you can literally just go to phantom. in click download and download that Chrome extension once you've done that it'll pop up in your top little bar and you're going to be able to have a little pop down window right here like you guys see on my screen now before we go any further for those of you who are new to this something very important is about to happen when you create this Phantom wallet when you create an account it's going to give you something called a seed phrase a secret phrase a recovery phrase and this is a sequence of what looks like totally random words now if you're new to crypto what you need to understand is this is the single most important thing that you own now it is literally the keys to get into your crypto wallet think of this like a key to your bank safe except if you lose it you can't go get another copy made anywhere you are locked out forever and since it's a key of words if anyone else somehow gets this string of words they now have a permanent key that they can use to get into your same wallet from anywhere right this is what you will use if you get a new laptop and need to recover this wallet on that laptop it is the lifeline of everything thing to do with crypto so when you get this secret recovery phrase right do not just copy and paste it into a Notes app which is backed up online don't just copy and paste it into a Google doc write it down physically on a piece of paper at minimum that you can put in a safe or hide somewhere and realistically you should be getting these words inscribed into a piece of metal something that is rough indestructible cannot be damaged in a move or a fire and hiding it somewhere safe right this is the most important thing please do not this up with that said once you have this wallet created now it is time to send that ethereum in that salana that you bought earlier to this new Phantom wallet and you're going to do that as follows on Phantom you're going to click the receive button you are then going to go to the cryptocurrency that you want to receive so we'll send the salana first you're going to click on that and you're going to copy this wallet address think of this like a public address to which anyone can send cryptocurrencies you're going to copy that address you're then going to go into salana on coinbase or whatever centralized exchange that you used and you're going to click transfer on some this might say send this might say withdraw but you're going to click transfer and then you're going to click the send crypto button now that I have send salana pulled up I'm going to click Max so I'm going to send all the salana that I have and in the recipient box I'm going to paste that address that I just copied from my phant wallet and now I'm going to go ahead and send it there we go sent now I'm going to go ahead and do the exact same thing with the ethereum that I bought earlier I'm going to go to transfer send crypto but this time I'm going to go to receive and I'm going to click ethereum and then we're just going to perform that exact same process of pasting in that wallet address and we're going to send it same thing now the ethereum is a bit slower but you can see now if I pull up my Phantom wallet that I now have that salana in in my Phantom this is a self-coded wallet that I now control I am holding These funds instead of coinbase and the only thing protecting These funds is that secret phrase from earlier but what's important is I can now go use this to interact with all of the tools and the websites that I'm going to need to actually trade meme coins I am now actually on chain I am now actually in crypto in web 3 and I'm ready to make moves all right guys now before we get into the rest I need to take a quick break and give you a few rules of thumb that you're going to have to follow for anything included in the rest of this video first of all never invest more in any coins than you can afford to lose you need to understand the risk that you are taking this is an extremely risky game coins get rug pulled things go to zero all the time this isn't investing or really anything more than educated gambling so you need to be careful right second of all once you get into this game you need to learn to never fomo in that stands for fear missing out we're all big boys and big girls here if you're going to play in these Waters you need to understand the game that you're playing so if that is uncomfortable for you just stop right here and don't even bother going any further with that said let's jump into the real meat of this video and talk about how to actually find meme coins to buy right and the number one tool that you're going to need to do this is the one you see on screen right now it's what you're going to use to browse and find meme coins and this is called Photon okay this is by far the fastest free tool for finding for trading meme coins and you're going to need it for everything else in this video so just pause real quick and look down below in the description for a link to go make a free account this is a free account now once you have made a photon account you're going to have to click up in the top right and you're going to have to deposit in ethereum from that Photon wallet that you just made now now once you've made a photon account you're going to have to deposit in that cryptocurrency that you just bought okay think of this Photon account as another separate cryptocurrency wallet that you control that is integrated into this website that allows you to use all of their tools so in order to do this you're going to follow a few simple steps so once you create an account you're going to be able to connect that Photon wallet that you just made by clicking a few buttons in the top right you're going to see a window like this pop up you're going to press connect and once you do that you are now going to have your crypto wallet that you just made on photon actually connected to Photon and now your job is going to be to transfer that salana and after this transfer that ethereum that you just bought so in order to do this you're just going to go on here look at how much salana you just purchased in my case is 64 Soul you're going to input that here and then you're going to press deposit a transaction is going to pop up in your Phantom wallet you're going to click confirm it's going to say attempting to fill and after just a bit it will say successfully deposited and I now have funds on on salana to do the same thing on ethereum you'll just Mouse over the top right click trade with eth go over to here and do the exact same thing you'll go to transfer funds you'll do input amount you'll do deposit deposit it with that out of the way let's talk about how you can actually use Photon to find them now there are a lot of way to find meme coins but Photon as a website is going to be your best friend one of the best ways to find meme coins here on the New Paris tab you can see a list of all the new meme coins that are being launched on ethereum right now because I'm the ethereum tab you could transfer back over to salana see all the salana meme coins that are being launched right you can click into these see the charts see exactly what's going on but for the vast majority of these on this new Paris tab these are just all going to be random rugs and scams however if I go over to the trending tab you're going to be able to see a lot of meme coins that are absolutely popping off right now there are some names on here you might recognize like Pepe like beam like super and you can click into any one of these charts and see a lot more information that I'll go over how to actually read to use to find the right coins in just a second now if you click over to the Holdings tab this is where you'll simply be able to see what coins you are currently holding and I'll talk a little bit more later about how to actually use this site to trade coins guys but the one main thing that I want to go over while we are on here is a checklist of things that you should always be checking before you purchase any meme coin and now in order to check these things you can click on any given meme coin scroll down to data and security and open that up first things first we want to see that the contract is renounced right yes the contract is renounced this is one of the key factors that's going to keep a Dev of a coin from being able to completely rug you right second of all we want to see the liquidity locked we want to see Honeypot no okay all three of those are non-negotiable fourth you want to see really low or zero taxes which essentially just means what percentage of your buys and sells are being taken as tax and given back to the team behind the coin and the reason why you want to see this low is because this being high is going to discourage bigger buyers and sellers as this coin gets more popular from wanting to actually trade it and it also typically indicates a kind of greedy team so you want to see this at zero that's for ethereum though if we're trading coins over on salana there's a few different little factors that you're going to want to be looking for on photon in the case of a salon meme coin you're going to want to see mint Authority disabled you're going to want to see freeze Authority disabled and you're going to want to see the vast majority of the lp burned guys again without going into too much detail these are just three things that you need to look for to ensure that the dev is not going to be able to Mint a ton more tokens sell them all dump on you and rug pull the coin okay now on top of this there are a couple websites that you can use in order to double check to make sure that the coin you're trading is not a rug or a scam for any coins on salana you can use this website that I'm on right now which is called rug check.

XYZ and for any coins on ethereum you can use this website that I'm looking at right now which is called token sniffer . c right and I'll leave the links to both of these websites down below now there are some more detailed things that you're going to be looking for as you get more advanced like analyzing distribution using things like bubble Maps looking on chain which is all stuff that we're teaching people how to do inside our private Discord Community which is focused solely on trading crypto full-time but for the purpose of this video we don't really need to cover that but when it comes to finding meme coins though you're not going to want to just sit here and scroll through photons live feed all day right 99% of these tokens getting launched are random rugs in scams because crypto is the wild west right so you need to be actually finding tokens early somewhere and there are a few key places that anyone watching this video can begin to look to get in on coins early and I'm going to list these in descending order from most useful and Powerful to least useful and Powerful but these are all viable options coming in at the top of the list of most powerful ways to find meme coins early is joining something called Alpha groups now these are private groups sometimes free you usually paid although often not that expensive that are focused solely on finding coins and trading them these groups often have entire teams dedicated to scanning the market at all times and alerting their members whenever new promising coins drop among other things right these are entire massive communities dedicated only to crushing crypto now most of these are paid but the reality is if you can join one of these and hit even really like one good trade you can pretty easily get back whatever you paid for it but if you go on the website that I have pulled up right now called wap. com and you go to trading and then you check crypto you can then go to free and sort for all the ones that have free options available so this is an option although typically I think the paid ones are going to be a lot better and is just the website that hosts basically all of these in case you're outside of alpha groups to find New Meme coins as well now the second thing to take advantage of for finding meme coins is an app called telegram now if you're not familiar with telegram this is a decentralized online text messaging app where you can create announcement channels and chat rooms and people create entire rooms and massive communities on this app dedicated only to finding coins early and getting in on them right now you guys are going to have to do some digging on Twitter to find good telegram groups and chats to be a part of and I'll explain in just a sec how you can do that a little bit more but an example that I would give is one by this guy called Shmo now I don't know this guy called shmoo that well he's a Twitter and Instagram crypto influencer but as you can see if you go into his bio you can click the telegram link there you can click open telegram and then it's going to pull up his telegram channel right and as you can see if you scroll through this this guy is literally spending basically all day every day just sending out calls on the market that you can follow right now there are also telegram groups that are like big open chat rooms where there's hundreds or even thousands of people in there sharing plays as well but telegram is really just like the messaging app of choice outside of Discord where we host our Alpha group and a lot of alpha groups are hosted for people who are Deens in crypto getting in early on coins and you're going to want to get in you know 10 20 as many of these telegram servers as you can because you're going to start to be able to use them to see Trends you're going to start seeing the same coins say early maybe three four groups you're going to be able to think oh maybe this is a good one that I should actually get in on and these things can actually be really useful with that said the third and the least useful option here is going to be using Twitter right now this is the furthest Downstream but it's still a viable place to find new coins because at the end of the day you simply have to be following the right people now I will leave a list down below that I would consider like a starter kit for the right crypto influencers to follow to get actual Alpha to be able to find find actual good calls on coins but you're going to have to go look at who they are following and start to really dig into the weeds to see who has the best picks right for example if I were to pull up one of the most prominent crypto influencers in the entire space's profile Alex Becker and then go to who he's following and start to scroll through here uh well probably a lot of these guys that he's following are pretty good Traders so let's click on this guy cousin crypto for example well we can see that he actually has a Discord in his bio I bet if I clicked into that it might be his own little Alpha group that I can join and start go poking around in then I can go to who he's following and start to scroll through that way and that way and curate out a list of people to follow who are going to actually be giving me Alpha on the market and from their profiles I can find different little Alpha groups to hop in I can find different little free telegram chats to hop in different discords to hop in and I can begin curating the information that I'm receiving because at the end of the day if your only activity is just sitting here and scrolling through Twitter feed you're going to be late to everything and the most important thing in meme coins is being early which you probably already know by now also I'm not going to get too deep into this because this video is more for beginners but if you want to get really degenerate and get really deep into meme coins you can check out a website called pump.

Fun which is essentially just a website where literally anybody can go launch a new meme coin I'm not going to spend very much time talking about this in this video if you guys want a whole separate video about how to use pump. fund to get in on you know crazy new coins comment that down below but I just thought I would throw this in here as a website to be aware of when it comes to finding new launches although you will be able to trade these coins that are launching on here on other sites like Photon which you've already signed up for all right guys so now that we've talked about how to find meme coins to trade let's talk about how to actually trade these things so I'm just going to walk you through a live scenario of what this could potentially look like so let's start out hypothetically here and say that in a telegram group or an alpha group or in a group chat or on Twitter somewhere somebody has called out a meme coin that is early that I want to get in on and for this example I would just be using a coin called MOG because I like it just to show you how all this works so let's say they just sent the Twitter in a group right realistically guys they probably would have just sent you the photon link or directly sent you the contract address but I'm trying to make this as hard as possible for this example so what we need to do now is find something called the contract address of this coin right so I'm going to go ahead and click into the website here and I'm going to look for the cont contract address let's see let's see uh okay here we can go ahead and see ethereum main net CA or contract address now guys you can also see that this is deployed on another blockchain called base for the purpose of this video we're going to keep it pretty simple and we're going to trade this on the ethereum section of photon so what we're going to do is go ahead and copy this address right here this contract address we are now going to go over to Photon we're going to make sure that we are on the ethereum Tab and we're going to paste in that contract address for the one that I just copied as you can see this has pulled up MOG coin just like we were looking for and now we're going to go ahead and verify that all of the things that we were looking for earlier are true yep 0% buy tax 0% sell tax not a Honeypot liquidity is locked and the contract is renounced all of those mean that this is now safe to trade so if I want to actually take a trade on this coin it's pretty simple let's say I'm looking at MOG I think hey this looks like a good trade to take all I'm going to do is scroll down to this buy section now there are a number of different presets I only have a tiny little bit of eth in this wallet so I will put in an amount that I can actually trade for the purpose of this video which is like an insanely small amount and now that I put that in I'm going to click quick buy you can see here I've successfully bought 01 eth of mog it's very small amount guys but again like this is just for example sake for the video if we go over to my Holdings tab we can now see you know how much that I have we can see what the change in p&l is on that so I'm down 1.
