They discovered it by having a blood or urine test for some other reason, or by having an ultrasound or abdominal CT scan for some other health problem.
That's why I want to help you and it doesn't matter how old you are or if you already have chronic health problems. Today I am going to reveal how to take care of, prevent and often cure the damage to your kidneys. Also tell you what analysis you can do to detect this as early as possible, what are the first symptoms you have to pay attention to and what happens to your body when you have kidney failure.
Regarding the first symptoms, pay close attention. One of the first signs of kidney disease is getting up many times to urinate at night. The normal thing is to wake up once, or if you are over 65 years old at most twice a night.
More than this should make you suspicious. Of course, this problem can be due to many other reasons, such as fluid retention throughout the day, having varicose veins in the legs, having heart problems or liver problems, prostate disorders, or the simple fact of ingesting a lot of water before sleeping. It is not always a disease, but if you have this, it is good to rule out kidney problems.
Now, very important, many times, especially in the initial stages, kidney failure does not give any symptoms. When the problem progresses, you will begin to feel tired, fatigued, muscular weakness. You can start to lose weight for no apparent reason, decrease the amount of muscle you have or strength.
You can have unexplained anemia and even mood swings. You begin to feel little appetite. Notice how all these symptoms are specific and this happens because all the other organs depend on the good function of our kidney.
The kidney connects our entire body. Many times even the lack of libido, desire or sexual potency has to do with the kidneys. Pay close attention to this!

And I'm going to tell you how, despite having so many non-specific symptoms or not having symptoms, much can be done to prevent this problem and detect it early. But what are the signs of advanced kidney failure or that your kidney is poisoning you? Well, our kidney transforms our blood into urine, eliminating toxic substances.
When these begin to accumulate in our blood due to kidney failure, we begin to have nausea, vomiting. That loss of appetite gets worse. We began to lose weight more and for no reason.
The anemia gets worse. We can start to feel itchy all over our body. All of these are warning signs to be aware of.
Now, a very frequent question: can our kidney hurt? Well, actually pain in the area where the kidneys are, the lower back or the abdominal region below the ribs can hurt. And it doesn't necessarily mean there's a kidney problem.
When these organs really hurt it is because we have kidney stones or because we have large kidney cysts, a more advanced infection, but kidney failure itself does not hurt. So how to detect this problem early? Well, kidney failure has five phases or stages.
One is the earliest and five is when the patient needs hemodialysis or a kidney transplant. The symptoms usually appear from stage number three and worsen as the problem progresses. So, even if you feel healthy, if you already have a chronic health problem such as obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, family history, kidney problems or if you already use medications chronically and if you are over 40 years old, you should consult your doctor to perform a blood test called creatinine and a simple urine test and also other tests that your doctor deems necessary.
When blood creatinine is elevated, in most cases it indicates a problem with your kidneys. And with this analysis, the doctors do some calculations to estimate the degree of kidney failure you may have. While we can't always catch the problem on time, it is very helpful.
Depending on the case, an abdominal ultrasound or a tomography may also be requested, especially to see the size and shape of your kidneys. But well, before you need to do a blood test, how can we take care of it, prevent kidney damage or even if you already have the established problem? Are there natural ways to try to stop or slow down the problem?
The answer is yes. And the best way is to reduce inflammation in your body. May food be your medicine and may your medicine be food.
Take note and do what I am going to tell you about for 2 to 3 months and then repeat your blood tests. You will see how blood glucose, that is, sugar, cholesterol, triglycerides and many times your kidney function improve dramatically or at least they will be better controlled. And for that, including sources of antioxidants and anti-inflammatories in your routine is essential.

Consume edible peels, apple, pear or ferments such as sauerkraut, grains in general, Beans, raw carrots, beets, brown rice, seeds are all very important sources of fiber that reduce inflammation in your body. There are also condiments or spices that you can use every day and reduce inflammation both in your kidneys and in the rest of your body, such as turmeric with black pepper. You can even use it as a replacement for salt.

Another habit that we should avoid consuming excess sugar as much as possible. But be careful, here I am not referring only to white table sugar, but to the sugar that is hidden in the foods we consume every day, for example, in white bread, flour, white rice, ultra-processed foods, soft drinks. , those cereals that we often believe are healthy and give us energy due to all the advertising that exists.
Now, there is something that the media may not show us. Sugar and ultra-processed foods could be the biggest cause of premature deaths in the world, that is, those deaths that occur earlier than they should. My advice is to replace all these foods with healthier ones and eat more whole grain products.
A lot of attention now, eating red meat every day this also inflames us, even increases the risk of cancer. The ideal is to vary, use other sources of protein during the week, for example eggs, especially those grazing eggs that come from hens that roam free in nature. You can also eat fish once or twice a week, especially those rich in omega three, such as salmon, tuna, sardines, and anchovies.
Other days you can choose to consume proteins of plant origin, such as those. Soy beans. In this way you have a more balanced and more anti-inflammatory diet.
Limit or completely cut the consumption of alcohol cigarettes. This causes and accelerates the loss of kidney function, heart attacks, strokes , in addition to producing dementia, thrombosis, among other problems. Now, did you know that there are remedies that could directly damage your kidney?
We must be careful with any medicine, but mainly with those anti-inflammatories or over-the-counter pain and fever remedies such as ibuprofen, diclofenac, ketorolac, and we must also be very careful with antibiotics, especially with those that are prescribed or used off-label to treat any cold or flu.
