do you know that 99% of people these days just wake up and immediately grab their phones and go on social media most of them even do it unconsciously as it has truly become their habit it's like an automatic physical movement or something that you don't even have to make a conscious decision to do it anymore you wake up and the next thing you know your fingers are already on screen scrolling through Instagram and Tik Tok as a result your brain is forced to consume the very content you see on social media before anything else and that is the start of most people's everyday life follow followed by even more bad habits throughout the day which basically prevent them from following their dreams and ever reaching their goals think about it let's say today is a Sunday you wake up and immediately grab your phone while you're still in your bed by doing so you're not just setting yourself up to waste your precious time in the morning and with the way these algorithms work you're almost guaranteed to waste so much time scrolling before you finally manage to pull yourself away but another important thing that you're losing is what I call the ram in your brain you see going on Instagram means you're filling your head with other people's stories other people's lives and other people's content essentially you're taking those things and making them yours instead of doing something with your own life you choose to watch other people's lives and you do that using the ram I talked about earlier the thing is this Ram is limited your brain can only process so much information before it needs recharging so instead of using your brain's Ram to process other people's I'd rather you use it for something beneficial to your life at least use the brand new Ram you have in the morning for yourself first use your brain and energy to pursue your own goals read a book exercise or work on your business just do something productive first and after that if you still want to go on social media then that's fine because you've already done something good for yourself let's take a step back a bit and talk about the waking up part every morning as soon as the alarm goes off each and every one of us no matter who we are will have to face a decision you can wake up or you can hit snooze and go back to sleep for a few more minutes and guess what most people choose this option in in fact even I used to be addicted to snoozing too but as we all know even if we choose to hit snooze in just a few minutes the alarm will just go off again so why would you want to do that knowing full well that you will eventually have to get up one way or another I want you to really think about it while you think that you get to sleep for just a few more minutes in reality you don't actually fall back into the quality sleep like you think trying to go back to sleep after your brain has already been woken up from the first alarm doesn't really help you to get any more rest the only thing it does is just allow you to be lazy for a little longer and it will make you feel even worse once you do decide to get up we've all been there we all know how waking up after hitting snooze six times feels like so let me ask you again which option will you choose the next morning the answer should be getting up right away unless you are someone with absolutely no responsibility eventually you will have to get up to do something with your life this is why there's no reason to hit snooze even once and trust me once you make the decision to get up it will be the greatest start for your day you will wake up with the mindset that you can overcome the voice inside your head that you don't have to do everything that your mind thinks that you can choose to do things that will benefit you in the long run and it's this very first small win that will make you want to keep winning more during the day so as soon as the alarm goes off just open your eyes and get out of your bed go and wash your face brush your teeth and so on if you can do that I can guarantee that at least today you will live a slightly better life than when you were hitting the snooze button for sure now there's a simple hack that can help you wake up a bit easier and you might not even want to snooze anymore that thing is a good night's sleep yes I know that everyone has probably heard about the 8 hour sleep rule since you were just a kid you might have heard it so often that you just let it go in one ear and out the other but actually sleep is too important to ignore that is because your sleep directly affects your productivity and how you live your daily life to put it simply without getting too scientific if you don't get enough sleep it's like your brain and body aren't fully charged and then the next day you simply won't be able to perform at your best now people always talk about the benefits of waking up early saying that waking up early is good for this and that but in reality no matter how early you wake up if you didn't get enough sleep the night before you will only destroy your productivity even more because your brain simply isn't ready to function at its 100% efficiency and if you keep doing that day after day I can guarantee that there will come a day when you can literally notice how foggy your brain really is now compare that to someone who always gets enough rest every day you just can't match their level of productivity the quality of their work or anything that they do on a daily basis you simply won't be able to keep up with them so if you want to wake up early you need to be ready to also go to bed early for example if you want to wake up at 6:00 a. m. then you need to be asleep by 10: p.
m. or at the latest by 11:00 p. m.
this is so that your body can rest for at least 7 to 8 hours and if you're someone who doesn't fall asleep right away then you will need to go to bed even earlier listen the time you spend in bed and the time you spend asleep is two different things you might say you go to bed at 10: p. m. but you don't really fall asleep until midnight then if you wake up at 6:00 a.
