English vocabulary in a car

hey guys welcome to lingua Marina today is your favorite video because we're going to learn English in the wild we're going to learn English in this amazing car it's 2024 so I have an electric car with self-driving capabilities and I have the key so let's go inside and learn some English vocabulary ignition and powering up in a traditional car you have an actual key that you insert and rotate and the car starts here because it's an electric car the key has to be present but I need to press the brake pedal and then I press

the power button it's a keyless start button and the car is super quiet and it just started this is my favorite detail of this car it's the steering wheel because it's so convenient it has all the buttons to control the infotainment system it has the turn signal lever which basically activates the turn signal and the windshield wiper controls are actually on this lever as well okay we have this brake pedal which I used to stop and we have the accelerator pedal which I'm not going to press otherwise we're going to move you know how we're

used to have gear selectors somewhere here well this car has its gear selector right behind the wheel so for me when I first started driving it it was a little little bit inconvenient but now I'm used to it so you basically go up if you want to reverse neutral is in the middle and then if you want to drive you go down and if you want to park you just press this button because it's a contemporary vehicle you have two options on how you want to look back uh you have this rear viiew mirror to

take a look back when you reverse and you have a rearview camera which shows you what's going on behind your car this car has plenty of storage first of all I'm going to show you my favorite feature for storing your phone so this is this phone compartment which actually has a charger inside it's actually better without the case I'm just going to put my phone here and it starts charging and it doesn't fall when I turn and dry we have our cup holders here we have some extra storage space and here we have a special

purse compartment I saw something similar in cyber trucks this is actually very convenient for girls because when I have a purse and my husband and my kids in the car where do I put my purse I put it right here this is something I don't really like in electric new cars you know how we're used to opening the glove box by just pushing a button here or like just pulling something now unfortunately here you have to press this button and it's not super convenient for me but here's your glove box everyone who makes videos will

really appreciate a sunro roof some people call it moon roof and it's really up to you it's your choice I see a lot of people call it moon roof because you can see the moon when you drive but you can also see the sun if you drive during the day so sunroof or moon roof let's look at something really cool this is called a door handle see it opens up when I unlock the car and there is another cool door handle so this is the exterior door door handle this is the interior door handle I

like it's pretty cool let me remind you of some basic stuff you have your tires here or Wheels side mirrors bumper headlights let me show you the trunk and the trunk is right here we have a helmet not for this car my husband is a Formula 4 race car driver here in California so we have have his gear right here I'm going to show you another cool feature did you know that you can open a trunk by just waving your foot below the car there we go and you can also close the trunk by just

and we're going to test it right now so exciting I've been driving handsfree for two years already cuz I have a Tesla with autopilot and we have another Cadillac with the self-driving feature and it's just amazing the time that we live in and when I drove the autopilot for the first time in my life I was kind of skeptical because I still didn't trust the car and I was like it's not that much of an effort to drive a car you know I'm used to it but if I'm tired if I go to San Francisco

which is like an hour drive from my house if I have a meeting and I want to listen to a podcast oh my God it just makes so much sense to switch on this self-driving feature and just relax and we have a lot of self-driving cars in San Francisco already we have driverless taxis we have a lot of passenger vehicles that can drive by themselves and I actually think it's pretty exciting I know some people are scared of Technology but I'm very positive hopefully we won't have to drive in 5 or 10 years so there

we go the self-driving feature is on it turns by itself it stays in the lane it maintains the speed I can ask it to change the lane automatically and again all I have to do is to look at the road my hands are free I can you know I have my snacks here I don't know if you guys follow me on Instagram but we're launching some healthy snacks in the US so I can just drive and enjoy them the longest trip I took without actually steering was from LA to San Francisco and it's like a

6-h hour drive and five out of those 6 hours I wasn't doing anything I was just sitting and just staring at the road and the car was doing everything else I think it's amazing in order to prevent the sun coming straight into your eyes when you're driving you can use the sun visor to help you with that if you're wondering what this little thing here is this is actually the camera that tracks my eyes uh during the self-driving capability and what's funny is I'm wearing black glasses and I thought you know if I'm wearing glasses

I could actually stare somewhere else but no it doesn't let me it can track my pupils even behind the black eyeglasses which is kind of cool uh remember how in older cars you had to bend to adjust your seat because your seat lever was hidden somewhere now here in this car we have the seat lever right here on the door and I wouldn't really call it lever it's more like buttons that remind you the shape of your seat so you can adjust different parts of it and I think it's really convenient also it has the

seat heating and cooling system and you know another feature that I really really like in this car it actually heats the steering wheel so yesterday I was driving in the night and it was really cold it's crazy how in California during the night it gets as cold as St Petersburg Russia so yesterday I was driving and it was like 8:00 p.m. and it was super cold outside and I was driving this car and I realized the steering wheel is so so warm and I realized it has the steering wheel heating feature modern vehicles have this
