Psalm 23 - The Lord Is My Shepherd! A Daily Prayer To Ease Your Mind ᴴᴰ

one of the most intimate passages of Scripture in the Bible is Psalms 23 the Lord is my shepherd meaning that I am directed by a heavenly and divine power I shall not want meaning that I have a promise that I will lack nothing from this Shepherd of mine he makes me to lie down in green pastures he leads me beside the still waters he restores my soul he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake this tells us that the Lord ever faithful ever loving he not only provides us with rest and

green pastures he not only quenches our thirst besides their waters but he restores us in the arms of the Good Shepherd we have restoration we are made whole verse 4 tells me though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for you are with me your rod and your staff they comfort me we are promised that regardless of how tough it may get regardless of how dark the night may be he is with us God is with us the king of kings the one who rose from the grave

is with us the one who is seated on the right hand of the Father he is with us verse 5 goes on to say you prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies you anoint my head with oil my cup runs over the Word of God tells us that we will have enemies we will have people who will discourage we will come across naysayers but I am thankful that God deals with them by preparing a table for me in their presence meaning that nothing can touch me as a child of God and

finally verse 6 says surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever and so now join me as we pray Lord Jesus you are my Good Shepherd I find comfort and security in the thought that you O Lord the Almighty the Alpha and the Omega you care for me like a shepherd cares for his sheep Lord your word says you restore my soul you lead me in the paths of righteousness for your name's sake and lord I thank you for your

restoration because we all need our lives to be restored and we need your restoration frequently this life has its ups and downs and we need you to restore and renew our strength we need you to restore and renew our faith I need you to touch my life Lord Jesus I need your anointing and your restoring hand upon my life upon the lives of my loved ones when I am up Lord and going through good times may I not forget you Holy Spirit may I not neglect you I pray that when things are going well may

I not be tempted to become full with pride I will always need you God help me not to self-destruct simply because you have blessed me and things are going well for me and lord I pray for the person listening for the one who is currently going through difficult situations whether physical or emotional for the person who is struggling and needs a breakthrough I pray that in the name of Jesus you bring them back from the brink of destruction renew their love and fire for you renew and restore their hearts Lord I take your word personally

over my life you are my shepherd you care for me you watch over me and you preserve me I don't always know what I need I don't always know what's best for me so I am completely dependent on your direction Lord Jesus rest and divine peace come to me because you my Good Shepherd can deal with my fears and my troubles you can deal with my enemies and the attacks from the devil that I face you will fight my battle as a Good Shepherd and you will protect me and for that lord I thank you

although I may walk through the valley of the shadow of death I know that it isn't my destination I know that it's not my dwelling place I know that even in that season you are with me I have comfort I have strength and I have peace by the thought and knowledge that you will be my shepherd through the valley of the shadow of death there is no need for me to be alarmed or panic for you my god are with me farther the great confidence that we have as believers comes from your word for if

the Lord is my shepherd if you are my feeder and my provider then I can understand that I shall not want anything from this world you know everything that is good for me you know the friends and the people that are good for me and those that will harm me and hurt me so lead me Lord to the right people you know the places that are good and safe for me and those which are evil so lead me Lord to the right places you are a God who is all-sufficient to all intents and purposes Lord

because you are the Good Shepherd I can rest securely and rest safely in your care you go before me you have hidden me from the firing line of the kingdom of darkness your presence surrounds me I declare your presence to be with me at all times may it go before me may it move behind me and all around me I thank you for your protection Lord your word says you anoint my head with oil my cup runs over surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life I thank you Lord for

provision I lack nothing because of you and I am grateful goodness and mercy follows me every day and I rebuke the spirit of lack i rebuke the spirit of poverty because the promises in your word upon my life are true goodness and mercy will follow me I rebuke any generational curses I rebuke anything that is not of the Lord and I declare in the name of Jesus that goodness and mercy will follow me each and every day not sickness or disease but goodness and mercy father you lead me beside the still waters help me to

be your beading and to have a teachable spirit that will follow your direction and leadership I thank you that you lead me by your Providence lead me with your word lead me with your Holy Spirit give me wise counsel Lord let me hear and follow your commands clearly direct all of my ways and each time that I am unsure Lord each time that I feel lost I will run to your loving arms may your word be a lamp to my feet and a light upon my path Lord because of your word because of Psalm 23

I will be bold and I will not be afraid knowing that I have the Good Shepherd to lead me you are always with me and help me to remember that even in those moments where it's difficult to see lead me to the places where my soul can find rest and strength lead me to people who will help me in my walk of faith father lead me where my soul will be made whole leave me for your name's sake so that I may reflect the nature of my god I thank you for hearing my prayer I
