your 20s are the most pivotal decade of your life what you focus on in this period will determine if you become financially free fit and healthy and excited about life or just full of regret what you have been told by society your parents your friends is likely not the best advice I'm going to go through the 10 things that you must do in your 20s so that you are feeling real good about your life in your 30s and beyond these tips are selected from the best things that I did to shape my success as well as some things that I Learned from studying the most successful people let's dive in No. 1 who are you knowing yourself is the foundation of any life journey you might think I'm too young I'm still figuring out who I am here's the cold reality that's an excuse you still have to go through the reflection and thought to come up with an understanding of who you are what you want out of life what you are good at yeah these answers may change over time but that doesn't mean that you don't have an answer for now in your 20s you will be putting in a lot of energy and time into building and growing so guess what for you to progress in the right direction you always need to have an up to date hypothesis of who you are and where you want to go study what excites you what you're naturally good at and what you truly want out of life and write your answers down on a piece of paper and put it up on the wall where you can see it frequently and every month reassess of what's written reflects what you believe to be true if you don't feel strongly about anything then explore try new things take on challenges see what pulls you in self awareness is not a luxury it's your foundation it is what winners exercise and what losers delay like they say develop a plan that works for you or one will be given to you that works for others number two find your giant find someone who's already living the life you want study how they got there what they overcame what they're doing differently it's not about copying every step it's about seeing what's possible and understanding how they tackled obstacles it is standing on the shoulder of this giant so you can see much farther and know much more than if you are figuring it all out yourself the value of having such a mentor who has already gone down the path you wish to go down is that they can save you a lot of hardship mistakes and guesswork just by giving you advice now you probably will have to reach out and speak with many people to find the person who has the right experience someone who is willing to talk with you and is a good fit with you you do have to be careful when making such connections because there are people out there that are not who they seem and they may lie to you to get something they want so be careful when you choose who to connect with do your research and trust your intuition but once you find the right giant don't expect them to help you without getting anything in return a great idea is to offer to do jobs for them as long as you can be exposed to their career and productivity secrets this would be like an internship or an apprenticeship without getting paid you would earn knowledge and life secrets instead and that is worth much more than money in your 20s No. 3 love the struggle success is not glamorous it's found in long gritty hours setbacks and moments when quitting feels easier and the effort starts early without the expectation of any reward until later on society today seems to be too lenient on people always providing a more convenient option to avoid any inconveniences and stress but that environment nurtures weakness you and your life deserve better in your 20s the more hard work the more pain that you endure in growing your health wealth and life in general will produce a life that is beyond your imaginations while others avoid the struggle you must embrace it the secret here is to reprogram your mind you can train your mind to love the struggle you can associate the right types of struggle with an accumulation of incredible power for yourself it really just takes a reshaping of your mind and how you view the world to unlock the beast inside that will carry you through your 20s so that you appear in your 30s and beyond as a winner in life and you can confidently say that you feel real good in all the right ways real growth happens when you embrace discomfort not shy away from it fall in love with the process every grind every obstacle every test that's where you become unbeatable number four delay the prize another thing about today's society everyone is addicted to short term rewards instant dopamine hits that distract you away from focusing on the things that will really build your future and add value to your life in your 20s you will be faced with many distractions don't get me wrong you should enjoy time with friends and family you should go on trips you should enjoy parties and social gatherings live your life but dedicate a meaningful portion of your time and energy to building and growing and break your dependence on short term rewards such as drinking alcohol social media time wasting smoking doing drugs gambling and the list goes on train yourself to be comfortable in silence with no stimulation fight against the urges and take back control those who can delay gratification control the game let others chase quick wins while you build something that lasts this will become your differentiation from everyone else here's a very practical thing you can do in your 20s to delay the prize invest in stops with the expectation of holding them for more than 10 years control your costs don't buy unnecessary things don't try to show off to others don't care what they think put the money you would have spent on clothes alcohol and accessories into investments like stocks or real estate and reap the rewards in your 30s and beyond we talk a lot about growing your wealth in this channel so like and subscribe to gather very meaningful tips you can act on immediately No.
5 get skills not jobs in your 20s you should work yes you should get a job but don't focus on the job focus on what skills you need to develop in the real world so that your value in the world grows and grows working for another company as a good way to get a paycheck and to get experience but in your 20s you should be thinking larger than just a job through the self reflection of point 1 and the mentorship in point 2 you should know where you ultimately want to get to and what skills are needed to get you there so therefore you should really focus on the activities that you think will get you those skills you can get them through your job or through classes on the side or working with your mentor or doing a side hustle one great source of skill development and knowledge are books but reading everything in a book can often be inefficient in a poor use of your valuable time luckily there are services that have distilled down the most essential points of the top skill developing books so you can absorb the knowledge in a fraction of the time it takes to read the entire book I've partnered with my favorite book summary service that is offering our feel real good community a special offer the tool is called short Form and it creates these very clear and concise insight summaries for the powerful non fiction books out there that will be what you need to help you develop those skills in your 20s they also take the key points of the books and create interactive exercises so that you learn the insights at a deeper level so in a way it can be better than reading the book itself the catalogue of books it has is ever expanding and currently houses all of the most relevant books on categories such as studying and productivity health and relationships wealth and growth what I like to do is read all the insights of books I'm interested in through short form then when I land on a book that really connects with my interests I get the book and I read it in full this way it saves me from having to read every single book in full which usually ends up saving me 90% of the time I would spend reading books the old way the partnership with shortform has provided the Feel Real Good community with a free trial and 20% off on their services try it out at shortform. com forward feel real good or check out the affiliate link in the video description below No. 6 take smart risks in your 20s you are at the beginning of your growth journey so you should be taking more calculated risks this is not the time to be super conservative and safe you should make strategic bets now risk is essential but it has to be strategic ask yourself what's the worst that can happen and can I handle it the big gains in life do require stepping outside comfort zones and when you are in your 20s you have more runway to take more risks just make sure that even if the bet fails you know you will gain valuable experience that will carry you forward in this world today such bold moves are considered valuable habits so don't be too afraid to make some bets smart risks are what will set you apart from those who settle for the safe path what are examples of the right types of risk they are building a business investing in a growth stocks working for a smaller company proactively starting and driving a project at work buying an investment property and learning how to fix it up what are examples of bad risks they are gambling investing money into someone who pitches you on a business borrowing more money than you can safely manage jumping into anything without proper due diligence and assessment with credible experts I hope you get the difference No.
7 embrace failure the more comfortable you are with the possibility of failure the more you will be able to try new things and learn from them in your 20s the more failed attempts that you do in your 20s the more you will get closer to big success of course you need to make sure you are driving your attempts down a certain path and that you are not changing your direction all the time because then you really may just face endless failure there is much to be Learned from failure in the world today it is understood that someone who has gone through many failed attempts down a focused path is that much wiser and experienced so they are valuable to help others or other companies avoid such pitfalls the key is to learn from each attempt adapt and come back stronger those who succeed aren't the ones who never fail they're the ones who never let failure stop them there is a phrase that is used often in the startup in corporate world fail fast those that win are the ones that keep getting back up after every failed attempt in your 20s you have the luxury to embrace this fully No. 8 be a body mechanic your body is your vehicle for life treat it well exercise eat clean and stay sharp physically if your body breaks down so does everything else how you treat your body in your 20s will determine your quality of life for the rest of your life health habits need to be developed and grown early so that you maximize your lifespan and your life quality now I know that you will think in your 20s that you are invincible that you can eat anything and your weight stays fine that you can put on muscle easily and you can do anything to your body and wake up the next day feeling recharged those of you who are wise will trust me that you should not be blinded by how you feel right now you should be smart enough to know that all of the fruit of your health habits will surface later in life and I don't want you to live a life of regret also eating healthy exercising regularly sleeping enough all will boost your energy and increase the value of your growth efforts everything that you are doing in your 20s to build and grow will be amplified by your health habits so take it as seriously as you do with anything else don't be a Fool No.
