today we're taking you on a road trip of some of the most unusual and downright crazy motorbikes that have ever been created so hang on tight back there as we take a ride on the 20 strange and beautiful motorcycles from around the world number 20 Joe Hammer electric bike in the pursuit of being different and making most of the new technology in the field of electric powered personal Transportation these bright Sparks at the Austrian company Joe hammer or maybe it's yoh Hammer have come up with a motorcycle that would not look out of place in
a Pixar Animation the J1 electric motorcycle is a distinct looking machine that's for sure it has something of the startled grasshopper about its appearance but classic black and silver stylings bring it back into the Realms of Elegance what of its credentials though well the main thing that the J1 has going for it would be its range this machine can keep on going for up to 200 km which is almost 125 Mi a lengthy distance for battery operated objects with its emission-free credentials extra long battery life and super neat engineering the J1 stands out from the
electric motorcycle crowd it can choose the classic silver or partake of a handful of different fetching pastel options and they all come equipped with state-of-the-art smart Tech built right in in this case your dash information is neatly found in screens within your wing mirrors whether you'd actually want to sit on this thing for a full 125m Journey well that's another thing it has a distinctly utilitarian Vibe and I would imagine that seat would be left wanting in the cushioning Department as well but that's just me I enjoy a long comfortable ride now it's time for
the fancy topic what in the world do we have here today According to some dubious and unnamed Source this is apparently a custombuilt electric bike that was made by some guy except that we all know that any Joker with an app on their phone can fashion a picture and call it a concept vehicle especially with all the shiny effects that you can put on it I mean go on and give it a go for yourself what do you think of this one though as always you can comment down below using the # fancy topic and
let me know your opinion in relation to what I just showed you on the screen number 19 the veter Streamliner the veter Streamliner was an Innovative motorcycle designed by a guy named Craig veter back in the 1980s and his goal was to improve fuel efficiency and aerodynamics not intensely sexy but kind of useful I suppose unlike regular boring old motorcycles it had a super Sleek enclosed body that was made to reduce wind resistance and that meant that it could achieve much higher fuel economy the Streamliner looks different from typical bikes because it has an elongated
shape to help it cut through the air more easily vet's goal was to create a motorcycle that could travel long distances using as little fuel as possible and that design was kind of successful in this regard with some models managing to travel over 100 m per gallon so very fuele efficient ooh number 18 the milard Viper v10 the Mard Viper v10 is a unique motorcycle that was engineered by the British designer Allan milard it was introduced in the early 2000s featuring an 8 L V10 engine from a Dodge Viper which produces 500 horsepower this rather
substantial engine that was actually designed for a car makes the bike exceptionally powerful and capable of reaching speeds over 200 mph Mard was into the craftsmanship of the bike and so he ensured that the Viper v10 was not only a concept but became fully functional and roadworthy they built it to be ridden on and enjoyed by demonstrating its performance on various occasions the motorcycle's design and impressive capabilities made it a notable piece in motorcycle history it is a one-off though so it never actually made it into mass production number 17 the Tron light cycle if
you're your goal in life is to draw attention to yourself while also pretending to be in a science fiction movie well this motorcycle is the answer to your prayers the 2010 Disney movie Tron legacy might not have set the world on fire but it did give plenty of people the desire to ride a Tron light cycle and thanks to some particularly Keen designers and Engineers there have been several attempts to make that fantasy into a street legal reality and it's finally been achieved this crazy looking motorcycle was designed designed by artist Daniel Simon he created
blueprints for the unique bike and then put them forward to Parker Brothers Concepts to be made into a reality this custom motorcycle was built around the Xenon an electric model bike with top speeds at 70 mph and the things that make this such a unique machine and likely what draws its fans to it are the electroluminescent strips on its rims and the super AOC carbon fiber body kit that's built around its steel chassis it looks like the business in the light show when it's in full effect and that's what fans have been jonesing for the
whole time the lucky few owners of this machine enjoy such shiny futuristic features as customizable lights and colors as well as thumb print ignition and built-in iPad it looks a bit like a fidget spinner but don't let that put you off especially if you've got $55,000 burning a hole in your pocket number 16 the Suzuki bip plane when you come out of making claims to be a motorcycle of the future then you have a whole lot of expectations to live up to so when the Suzuki bip plane was first unveiled at the 2007 Tokyo motor
show the interest was pable I mean the fact that this motorcycle's design was inspired by vintage B planes does at least slightly Peak one's interest I mean how exactly would that work though it turns out that it doesn't have wings so that's a bit of a misleading name right there the main inspiration May indeed be that of the paint job that's based on colors of the canvas of these old aircraft so far so n perhaps the main feature that bears a similarity to the Vintage B plane is the fact that this bike has no windscreen
and leaves the rider out there with the full force of the elements in their face that and the swallowing of many bugs as well no doubt number 15 the Jaguar leaper bike back in 2008 a guy named Baron hems had a bit of a sideways brain wave that made some people question his sanity and others questioned his taste this is what he imagined the Jaguar leaper inspired motorcycle this bike is designed in the shape of the Jaguar leaping big cat hood ornament from the famous automobile company it is not perhaps the classiest of all motorbikes
but he did plaster it all over the Internet and certainly got a whole lot of attention for his efforts it doesn't exactly look like the most natural riding position or indeed the most comfortable of rides but you know to each their own and all so the shape of this bike looks well like a leaping Jaguar it's 6 ft long and has been put together with bits and pieces from a 1200c bu 97 S3 ThunderBolt from eBay it's not exactly the fastest bike on the Block and can actually only reach speeds of up to 50 mph
so it may just be a case of style over substance number 14 the road dog next up we have the road dog a motorcycle that was built by bike Enthusiast and engineer Wild Bill galck between 1962 and 1965 only two of these bikes were ever built and to be perfectly honest it was not exactly a design that seemed to be rolling off the production line Bill's goal was to build a motorcycle that was able to cruise at highway speeds for long periods and quite comfortably the massive custombuilt frame was equipped with a Chevy 153 engine
and a GM Powerglide transmission for the shaft drive he cut a Chevy one-ton truck differential in half this bike well it's no shrinking violet it's 17 ft in length weighing over 3,000 lb and the enormous size meant that most people couldn't even steer the thing until it was already moving at 15 mph Bill rode this bike up and down Addison Street and cero Avenue in Chicago and also took it across the country several times clocking up 20,000 m in 1 year in 197 78 police suspected that he was transporting drugs rather than vegetables and he
was actually transporting in his semi they turned up at his Farmhouse demanding that he throw his gun out the door then an officer slipped on the ice but the other police thought that he had been shot so they fired multiple shots and hit Bill many times killing him in the process the police officer who was allegedly shot was uninjured and then went to a Green Bay Packers football game that very same evening number 13 the Watkins M1 this is the very distinct and unusual looking Watkins M1 designed and built by Jack Watkins Watkins was a
lecturer and researcher in mechanical design and it took about 4 years for him to create just the front end of the bike in the end he teamed up with a motorbike Creator from mospec in Poland in order to help finish it all up the result is this crazy custombuilt machine the engine is from a 20 2 aircooled BMW R15 as well as the shaft and rear shock the rear wheel comes from a BMW GS and the front wheel from a Yamaha xj6 the frame was fashioned from laser cut sheets of Steel and it was fairly
difficult in an undertaking since everything basically had to be custombuilt to make it for the unusual dimensions of the bike while also making sure that the weight distribution allowed the bike to function function properly it is definitely some kind of unique machine number 12 the BMW motorad Vision next 100 the wonderful thing about Imagining the future is that it can be beautifully optimistic and bordering on utopian especially when designers and artists get all involved with dreaming up the perfect version of something that's kind of how the design team at BMW seemed to have approached the
less than catually named BMW motor Vision next 100 a bit of a mouthful but then again these guys are motorcycle Vision makers not naming Champions they can't be expected to do everything now can they what can you expect to see from the iconic Brand's idea of hitting the open road in the future though well they reckon that both the wearing of helmets and the need for suspension will be left behind in favor of a more bright and safer Road system the technology of the future they say will be all about keeping us all safe so
that's rather reass uring the vision next 100 Sports a patented Flex frame which alleges to steer the bike by flexing and making its own adjustments and it's supposed to be able to maintain flexibility during more tricky Maneuvers at low speeds but also grow stiff when engaged in high-speed driving as well as this obviously super techy concept the bike itself has all the looks of a futuristic machine as you would expect really it's relatively minimalist and optimized for aerodynamics and also features a visor which which as well as being for wind production is also a personal
data display screen with all of the stuff that future enthusiasts are always really into like real-time weather updates motorcycle health and terrain information all controlled by the rider's very own eyeballs number 11 the Lamborghini V12 when Chuck Beck's friend had a fire that destroyed a Lamborghini he then offered him the engine from the broken dead car and so he took that o V12 engine and built a big shiny motorbike around it and these things go vom there isn't much detailed information available about the bike but it is reported to be powered by the V12 engine
from an espa this engine can produce around 350 to 400 horsepower when it's in its original form although it probably delivers a bit less power than it used to in this unusual two- wheed setup the V12 engine's paired by a Volkswagen Type 3 transaxle which allows the B to reach a top speed of 140 mph the design is made up of entirely custommade components which includes the fairings the lights and the seats and even though it seems ridiculously long and wide the bike's frame seems to be neatly holding the large V12 engine inside pictures of
the Big Shiny red bike have certainly lit up the internet and got petrol heads everywhere involved in a bit of a chat about it all number 10 the Sprint Beamer this is the weird looking Sprint Beamer motorcycle created by the lucky cat garage the bike was built around a bmw2 frame containing a lightly tuned RS boxer engine it has an inverted 92 r100r gearbox it was constructed from a barn find a 50 sport moped tank to be precise but many of the other parts had to be custombuilt in order to fit the bike or they
had to be used in conjunction with mounting gear that was made for that purpose it would take 6 months to complete the build it was completed to be part of the glim SEC 101 Star Wars Sprints competition and it came away with the People's Choice Award but it failed to win any other trophies because the bike had a carburetor problem and had to drop out in the second round ah well it still got the consolation prize it seems number nine the mono wheel a mono wheel is basically a massive single wheel that's built to be
big enough to contain a rider and a motor to power the whole bizarre Contraption forwards these things are insanely dangerous but also apparently rather a lot of fun the machines were first invented in the early 20th century and then had a bit of a Heyday in the inter War period during this time people were imagining all sorts of wonderful and very weird looking future Technologies and some of the mono wheel inventions from the very early days were fashion from all manner of combinations of Motors these were Gas and Electric even pedal powered and gear assemblies
some even claiming to reach in the speeds of 93 mph I'm not really sure what kind of braking system they might have had but these things were famous for being incredibly unsafe number eight the acrapovic full moon concept motorcycle the full moon is certainly an attraction Grabber in the style Department that much is certain this concept machine is unlike anything else you may have seen before but what does it actually do name for the big and shiny front wheel which is a sizable 30 in of aluminum and carbon the full moon has not entirely focused
all of its efforts on looking good just at the front this machine has a curvaceous rear end that'll leave most observers surprised if not slightly Bamboozled it may be elegant and depending on your personal preferences beautiful but it does seem just the teensiest bit impractical just imagine the car gnage if you were to encounter a speed bump but that's unlikely to happen this machine is not considered to be street legal so for now it's just about admiring and lavishing with attention on the internet but what does the machine have going on between its Wheels well
the master Craftsman behind the design have popped in an SNS knucklehead 1524 cc engine and added a couple of customade acrapovic exhausts just to make sure the sides of the the bike live up to the promise of its outsides add to that the completely hidden cabling and the fact that the bike has fully automated steering and you can easily see why it might make it onto a list of motorcycles of the future I just wonder if it will ever get the chance to hit the open road before it becomes a motorcycle of the past number
seven the TMC Dumont motorcycle where do motorcycle enthusiasts go after they've started stuffing massive car engines into their custom design I mean how much bigger can they go is there even anywhere left well how about the world of Aviation engines so why the heck not the TMC Dumont is one of those sorts of concept bikes that is given the additional moniker of being an art bike this euphemistic title generally means looks pretty good with the eyeballs but it'll probably go all to hell if you try and ride it this may be one of those that
needs to return to the drawing board before you can actually see anybody driving it but that's just as well really since it contains a flipping Aeroplane engine surely the thing is going to make a right racket that engine is a 300 horsepower rollsroyce Continental V6 which was once part of a 1960s aircraft outside of the engine this bike sits on 36in Wheels and looks like no other motorcycle you've ever seen before or we'll likely ever see again barring some sort of bizarre futuristic movie taking the look of this thing into their aesthetic frankly it doesn't
look like the most practical thing to ride and possibly doesn't even really go around corners without dumping the rider off the sheer logistical puzzle is enough to Boggle the Mind although frankly I'm an easily boggled sort but what do you think this one would actually do would it work would you really want to ride it let me know all about it and what you think in the comment section down below number six The Dark Knight bat pod the bat pod motorcycle first appeared in the dark KN the Batman movie that was directed by Christopher Nolan
it was designed by Nolan and the production designer Nathan Crowley this crazy looking bike has 20-in rims from the tumbler and that is Batman's weird car and it's powered by a water cooled engine from a Honda CRF 450R trail bike it has a super strange riding position that's rather uncomfortable looking to be perfectly honest anyways the massive bike does not have an exhaust because the exhaust fumes would have been routed through the frame the steering is achieved through the shoulder movement instead of through the hands and suspension that's all at the front and it's been
put up for sale a few times with the first time only fetching $100,000 the next well that was 2 million and it's not even road legal number five the Dodge Tomahawk would you just look at the size of this thing the Dodge Tomahawk is a monstrous machine machine of epic proportions and is certainly not for the faint of heart if anything this bike wouldn't look out of place in a Mad Max movie except that it's very shiny indeed and would need to get distinctly grubbier to fit in on Fury Road no wonder it needs four
wheels really the 500 horsepower engine is a Viper v10 with twin throttle bodies which are mounted right up on the front and this thing well it whales it has the intensely satisfying Rumble of a really robust engine and that's something that you just can't beat frankly all the electric bikes in the world are never going to match that feeling when a bike starts up and growls now are they this motorcycle is actually so powerful that it needs four wheels just to handle it so you can just imagine the sound that it makes that all being
said the machine is not just available to any old Tom Dicker Harry only 10 of these were ever made and the original and nine replicas they were sold for a staggering $550,000 each and although completely drivable they are in no way whatsoever road legal so that's a lot of cash for an earth while ornament then number four the Yamaha nikin this is the Yamaha nikin an 845c titling three-wheeler bike that's part of the Yamaha lmw line of motorcycles lmw well that means leaning multi wheel and it's a whole range of these strange looking things that
includes the tri city that has a 125c engine and essentially the whole idea behind these sorts of bikes is they have two wheels at the front that move together when the body of the bike is tilted and the rest of the thing moves like a regular bike it's not really all that thrilling but Yamaha seems to have really leaned into the design for some reason the name means two swords and they say that it's a refence to the dynamic way in which the two wheels move together like they reckon a sword Master's two blades well
okay then number three the Lazareth lm847 now you could call me a pessimist but in this utopian dream world of future motorcycles wouldn't it seem unlikely that a gas greedy 4.7 L V8 engine is an unlikely basis for bettering the world even if it does seemed like it would probably be a lot more fun you know Brom and all this great hulking monster of a super bike looks like an insane steroid pumped cartoon bike which would likely as not be a fairly uncomfortable thing although extremely powerful as well now it may not be a sleek
and modern Beauty but this bike has one thing in its favor it's definitely original with two rear tires a transverse mounted a tfx rear shock which must upset the balance of the whole thing surely and a whole host of other weird and wonderful modifications that border on the insane and land most firmly in the Realms of ugly many of the moving parts are actually the opposite of the standard moving in the reverse action and presumably giving anyone who rides the bike a little bit of an extra challenge that's if they can even figure out how
to sit on the beast in the first place the Maserati engine is what gives this monstrous machine its Mega Powers and given the limits that the European Union had placed on horsepower until very recently the bike really does have some power indeed so what are this motorcycles Vital Statistics then we've already mentioned the 32 valve V8 of course this is what makes it possible for the bike to put out an astonishing 470 horsepower and when you take into account that Europeans were limited to 100 horsepower for decades this Colossus is going to give many a
speed freak the biggest vibrations between their thighs that they've ever known number two the hubless Harley-Davidson this is a pretty unusual sort of bike most fans of Harley's are satisfied with the general good looks of the classic motorcycle but there's always somebody out there who wants to up the ante and stand out a whole lot more than everyone else now isn't there that guy is likely to be found riding around on one of these hubless Chopper Harley-Davidson's there have been a few of these things cre created over the years the first one that got all
the internet attention was the hubless custom which was built by Howard's killer customs in New Jersey and was unveiled back in 2007 this machine is thought to have cost about $155,000 and often gets included on lists of the most expensive motorbikes in the world originally the bike began as partially anyways a classic 1969 FL Harley-Davidson and then Howard safield turned it into the most famous Hess Chopper out there it weighs around 700 lb it can travel it speeds up to 100 mph and the custom build took 4,000 hours to create as well as a whole
2 years of design and research in addition the original cycle also included a 1974 swing arm frame a 21-in front wheel a 1969 Harley pans shovel adci engine both 1969 and 74 Harley engine cases and 1982 Harley-Davidson cylinders they definitely achieved their aim which was to create a fully functional motorcycle inhouse however the drawbacks of a bike like this are that it's pretty tricky to handle that is the Eternal Quest for these custom builds how to get that look without losing too much handling it becomes a fine line but a challenge that many petrol heads
seem Keen to take on number one the quazar this this is one weird looking machine that is also apparently a motorcycle but it has a funny little roof and the rider sits with their feet forward more like an old people mobile but really what do I know these things were designed by a couple of guys named Malcolm and Ken they made a few different weird Vehicles like this during their time and they seem to favor the mobility scooter style of things the quazar was built from a repurposed 850c 4 cylinder inline engine that was originally
used in a Reliant Robin three-wheeler light car you know the least sexy car of all time this vehicle is apparently and quite surprisingly capable of cruising at speeds between 90 and 100 [Music] mph even they say exceeding 100 mph in the exact right sort of weather the main trouble with these weird car bikes is that they're not really the most spacious of designs and Riders who are on the taller side of things may find it tricky to fit inside while wearing a modern helmet this could prove to be somewhat problematic in the long term even
though it seems as though it can be difficult to fit an individual tall person inside they actually claim that you can fit two smaller people as long as they're prepared to snuggle up presumably anyways the weird look along with the distinctive and practicality of this machine likely means that the market for it is fairly limited and probably just made up of those cult followings that get attached to ugly toys or lost creatures and then adopt them out of pity but what do you think do you fancy nipping around town in a quazar go on and
let me know well that's all from today's adventures in the world of weird and wonderful motorcycles but what did you think be sure to let me know about them all in the comments section down below check out the other cool things that are showing up on the screen and I will see you next time
