september vlog, a new chapter

okay this is not my TV so I don't let's see um maybe that oh wait uh I uploaded this late but not that late um yes okay September Vlog let's do it live from New York City obviously I'm in a hotel room I'm here for the week but we'll save that for the October video because today we are talking September so much has happened in the last 30 days edgy soup made by the boys everybody L soup oneth is it you guys know I'm forgetting it's the end of August it's almost September bro this is not the very end of the video it's the 31st it may be the beginning of the new signing off oh yeah or signing on Renovations on our house in preparation for the rainy season because it's an old house and we've had leaking issues with our windows and our roof and some of the flooring and the walls it was just into storage as we do work on this house so I've been like labeling where boxes are going and different pieces of furniture and like literally every single item in this house is labeled it's a little disorienting to be like packing for a day that I won't be present for and having to also pack for a trip and like anyways it's just been a crazy few days I still have to pack makeup for my trip so my makeup ends are still still sitting on my chairs over here that's one of the last things wow wow get it get it oh my gosh [Music] [Applause] [Music] so many boxes to break down today's my third full day of living here I personally unpacked so much on the first day and then didn't have as much time yesterday I really want to try to do this as fast as possible my mom is coming into town soon she wants to help organize but I want to try to get all of like the heavy lifting done before then so that she doesn't feel the need to do anything difficult and can just help organize things choose what goes where and what drawers like the fun stuff you know what I mean like right now I'm not doing fun stuff it's a Saturday night this is what we're [Applause] doing we've been opening up this door every day cuz it's such a good vibe day 100 of unpacking there's a chance I'm wearing one of your T and I'm replacing the audio because I don't want to get copyrighted but this footage is very cute cute we are baking cookies we baked some pizza and I made a little salad for dinner and now we're going to bake something for the first time in this we've only been here for like 4 days no this is this is day three for me day four for you but I have been cooking in this kitchen nearly every meal also crucial element to this experience we facetimed rat and David and asked if they wanted some of our cookies so crunch time I mean not really they're like on their way to a party oh really yeah okay they're going to they're like like we're going to stay for a really brief amount of time excuse me excuse me Jesus CHR kidding well tell them something what who the viewers yeah I think I'm wearing Claudia's tank top I don't mean to be it just ended up in my laundry I really I I'm I don't think you are I'm kind of just like putting stuff away yeah no no good smart okay so what have you done so far really on the Fly you guys are balancing on my laptop right now what else is new plaia it's looking good should I add a totally organic it's recording totally organic moment not at all scripted welcome to September when September we have more dough so we're going to fre like I like did all of the like yeah he's like oh yeah jumping back in time a little bit I wanted to show you a little behind the scenes of a digital commercial that I made this relaunch feels so special and so new and I really wanted to do something special what if I directed something I've always wanted to direct I fantasize about it all the time and I thought what better way to force myself to get a crew together and execute a body of work and direct it the next day I wrote out a script it's about three pages long so it's short commercial I'll put it up on the screen if you guys want to pause this video and read it I want it to be super sexy the shots are super close up a lot of blurred body so there's obviously no nudity in it and then I drew the storyboard this loves the storyboard I actually there was a short film that I wrote last year and I I think the concept's fine it could be cool to do but I ultimately never made it cuz I kind of was like I don't know if this is the first thing that I want to do is this really a story that I can get behind but I had so much fun making making that storyboard I just went to town on all the shots we all know I like to draw obviously I made a storyboard immediately we push in the steamy bathroom I think I might actually have it match cut and have the camera kind of like go through the glass and then it's revealed that I'm like pumping body wash and then from there it's all like super close shots of us just like lathering our bodies I start using the sculpting cup and then I hop out of the shower he starts using the sculpting cup I want the actor to just like go crazy multisensory skincare from head to toe for the location I shot it in our bathroom it was very challenging to find a house that I could rent that had a bathroom that was big enough to hold an entire crew and all of the camera equipment that also had the specific Vibe and look that I was hoping to find I wanted to find something that was kind of Darker and Moody with colorful tile but any bathroom that had that aesthetic was just too small or it didn't have enough glass to be able to get all the shots that I really wanted to capture that being said I made a couple adjustments to our bathroom but it worked I brought over some things it's very white in this bathroom and I want to darken it up a little bit so I brought some chocolate brown towels and bath mats I also want to take some photos and start pulling samples cuz I want to paint this bathroom for the commercial I mean pretty cute got some big towels I feel like the chocolate brown towels and floor mats definitely help with the goal of just like kind of making this look moodier and darker I've already started buying some props I'll be using glycerin to create fake Steam on the mirrors and showers I've got some bathing suits for those of you who have been watching me for a while you would know that I love to paint a room I've painted my office my office bathroom my kitchen I normally use backdrop as like my source for paint they choose really great colors and I just trust but backdrop doesn't have the exact mirold mustardy color that I'm looking for and so I'm doing it the oldfashioned way I'm going into the store going to pull some samples and I'm nervous about it because I did that for my kitchen and I remember going stir crazy I went back to the store maybe three times and I had I don't know maybe like 10 samples painted on my wall I'm too scared to have too many options it gives you decision fatigue I just want to choose one color and be like yep that's great let's go with it I'm I'm screwed how am I going to do [Music] this looking at my photo these are my yeses heavy duty gloves a little Paint Bucket I got some painters tape I love these tiny little brushes they're just way easier to hold in your hand and this one is angled for the edges I also got a wider flap brush beautiful brass button this one's lighter trinket gold and then these have like a tinge of green in them Brazilian Catrine and gold ink it's really difficult you guys really difficult this one I think is like totally out but this one this one feels like such a match which is this one right here I just can't tell if it's too dark good morning it's the next morning we're going to go check out the paint samples I brought moose with me I have a feeling I'm going to have to go pick up a lighter one though that's just my hunch we'll see round to feeling good about it what are you what what are you growling at a spider these are from yesterday look pretty dark and today I picked up these three so they are much lighter one of them is actually pretty warm tone as well I've lost my mind at this point and here's all of them together the final verdict is in between the three new ones I'm going with the one in the middle perennial [Music] gold we are ready to rock 6 days out from shooting let's p [Music] I'm not even bothering to take anything off the walls so I'm just kind of painting around it but I'm going to have to get in with a brush add another coat everywhere [Music] this has been my third day painting and I can't say that I'm officially done but I'm done with my brushes my rollers I can take the paper off the tape I'm going to come back here tomorrow with a smaller brush and just get some like nitty-gritty areas that I just was too afraid to do with my bigger brush [Music] I feel like my iPhone is showing the truest to color in real life it looks so good I'm very very excited about this added a little step stool we've got the body cream so crazy I'm still waiting on the body washes to bring them into this bathroom I don't know if my final body cream shot will be right there in that ledge or if I'm going to do it down here on the stool I originally was thinking the stool it's 100° right now we're going through a heatwave and luckily tomorrow it's going to be be 92 so it's going to drop tomorrow is the shoot day so I'm here setting up some last minute props I just folded a white towel up there I felt like something was needed I've got all these different sized vases but I will say I do like this plant being here I don't hate that by the way how cute is this little Canvas Bag this is what the body sculpting comes in we have a little QR code so you can scan it to see how to use it and you can just store in here just really cute I want to like prop this somewhere I also grabbed some shoes some sexy undies some men's clothing to figure out like where the one shot of the clothing is going to go like maybe it'll go here I just sprayed a mixture of Glycerin and water on the mirror we'll see how well this stays we're also going to have a fog machine as well [Music] I love you I love you out for about do CH I am setting my alarm clock
