have you ever stepped into a church and felt a strange unease as if something vital was missing the air feels heavy the smiles seem rehearsed and your spirit quietly Whispers this isn't right for those of us who are spiritually Discerning this experience is not uncommon it's not doubt that drives this feeling it's a profound connection with God that makes the disconnection all the more glaring as chosen ones we are attuned to what aligns with God's true purpose and when a place no longer reflects his presence it becomes impossible to ignore CS Lewis once said there

are far far better things ahead than any we leave behind this isn't about a lack of faith or love for God on the contrary it's because we love him so deeply that we can no longer endure environments that feel hollow and detached from spiritual truths sadly many churches today have strayed from the sacred path they were meant to follow instead of providing nourishment for the soul they have become institutions that prioritize appearances and agendas over authenticity as chosen ones we feel this deviation with every fiber of our being it's why so many of us are

stepping away from the walls of organized religion and seeking a more genuine intimate relationship ship with God today I want to share with you seven compelling reasons why church is no longer resonate with those who are spiritually called this is not about abandoning Faith it's about rediscovering it in its truest form outside the confines of tradition by the end of this discussion you will understand why your soul is pulling you in a different direction and how you can continue to grow closer to God without relying on the structure of the the modern Church the first

reason many chosen ones are leaving churches is the glaring lack of spiritual authenticity when we walk into a church we yearn for an environment where the spirit of God is alive where people are genuine in their worship and where relationships are built on truth and vulnerability instead what we often find is a facade churches today are increasingly functioning as businesses focused on on attendance budgets and expansion rather than fostering spiritual growth Jesus himself taught us in John 4:24 God is spirit and his worshippers must Worship in the spirit and in truth yet where is the

truth in so many of these institutions instead of heartfelt connections and Open Arms we are met with forced pleasantries superficial interactions and an overwhelming Focus on maintaining appearances this holess is not just disappointing it's stifling CS Lewis aptly noted the devil's best trick is to persuade you that he doesn't exist could it be that this is exactly what we're witnessing a quiet erosion of what the church was meant to stand for hidden behind layers of routines and rituals for chosen ones the answer is clear the spirit within us recognizes when the presence of God is

overshadowed and it compels us to seek something more something real something that reconnects us with the Divine in its purest form and that is just the beginning let's uncover the deeper truths about why leaving the church may be the first step toward finding the freedom and authenticity your soul craves one of the biggest problems with modern churches is that they have become more focused on performance than on true worship the worship teams are often more concerned with how they sound than with leading the congregation into the presence of God the sermons are sometimes more about

entertainment and keeping people engaged than about challenging people to grow in their faith as chosen ones we see through this performance we are not interested in being entertained we are seeking something real we we want to encounter God in a deep and transformative way but the church environment often feels more like a show than a place of genuine spiritual encounter this is why many chosen ones are leaving the church and seeking God in more personal ways we are tired of the performance we are tired of the superficiality we want real authentic worship that connects us

to God's heart authenticity is at the core of what it means to be a chosen one we are called to live in truth to walk in truth and to seek the truth in all things when we encounter inauthenticity whether it's in relationships in the workplace or in the church our Spirits are immediately unsettled for many of us the church has become a place where people put on masks they pretend to have it all together they pretend to be more spiritual than they are but as chosen ones we see through these facades we know that true

spiritual growth only happens when people are willing to be vulnerable and open about their struggles another major reason churches are no longer for chosen ones is that many of them have become deeply entangled with politics instead of focusing on the spiritual needs of their congregations many churches have aligned themselves with political ideologies and movements Jesus made it clear clear in John 18:36 my kingdom is not of this world yet many churches today seem more interested in worldly power than in building God's kingdom they are more focused on pushing political agendas than on preaching the gospel

and nurturing the spiritual growth of their members for chosen ones this focus on politics is incredibly frustrating we are not interested in the power struggles of this world we are focused on our relationship with God on growing spiritually and on fulfilling our purpose as chosen ones but when we walk into many churches today we are bombarded with political messages that have nothing to do with our spiritual journey churches that were once places of refuge and spiritual nourishment have become places of division and conflict people are divided along political lines and instead of fostering unity and

love churches are fostering judgment and hostility as CS Lewis eloquently stated I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen not only because I see it but because by it I see everything else in 1 Corinthians 1:10 Paul urges the church to be United in mind and thought saying I appeal to you brothers and sisters in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you but that you be perfectly United in mind and thought yet

many churches are doing the exact opposite take for example the church I once attended the pastor spent more time talking about political issues than about Jesus every sermon seemed to have a political agenda attached to it and the congregation was clearly divided people who didn't agree with the pastor's views felt unwelcome and even ostracized as chosen ones we are called to a higher standard we are not here to take sides in political battles we are here to bring people closer to God to be a light in the darkness and to show the love of Christ

to the world but many churches have lost sight of this Mission as chosen ones we are equipped with the gift of discernment we can sense when something isn't right even when others might not notice this is especially true when it comes to hypocrisy and false teachings within the church in Matthew 7:15 Jesus warns us to beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves this warning is more relevant than ever today as many churches are led by individuals who preach false doctrines and manipulate scripture for their own gain

one of the most concerning Trends in modern churches is the rise of false doctrines many churches have drifted away from the teachings of the Bible and have instead embrac teachings that are more focused on self-help prosperity and personal empowerment than on the Gospel of Jesus Christ the Prosperity Gospel for example has become incredibly popular in many churches this Doctrine teaches that God's primary desire for us is to be wealthy and successful and that if we just have enough faith we will be blessed with material riches but this is a dangerous Distortion of the true message

of the Gospel in 1 Timothy 6:9-10 Paul warns those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction For the Love of Money is a root of all kinds of evil yet many churches today preach that wealth and success are signs of God's favor leading people astray from the true purpose of their faith as chosen ones we are deeply connected to the truth of God's word we know that our faith is not about material success or personal gain it's about

surrendering to God's will serving others and growing in our relationship with him when we hear teachings that distort this truth our Spirits are immediately unsettled as CS Lewis wisely noted God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from himself because it is not there there is no such thing this is why many chosen ones are leaving churches that preach false doctrines we cannot sit under teachings that contradict the Bible and Lead people away from the true message of the Gospel we are called to seek the truth and when we don't find it in church

we look for it elsewhere one of the biggest misconceptions in modern Christianity is the idea that worship must take place in a church building this couldn't be further from the truth as chosen ones we understand that God is Not confined to a building we can worship him anywhere whether it's in our home homes in nature or even in The Quiet Moments of our day in Matthew 18:20 Jesus says for where two or three Gather in my name there am I with them this verse reminds us that God's presence is not dependent on a physical location

he is with us wherever we seek Him many chosen ones are finding that their most powerful moments of worship happen outside of the traditional Church setting when we worship at home in the quiet of our rooms we often feel a deeper connection with God than we do in a crowded church service we are free to Worship in our own way without the distractions of performance or ritual this doesn't mean that we reject Community worship altogether in fact many chosen ones Gather in small intimate groups for prayer and worship but we understand that true worship is

not about the building it's about the heart I know a family who decided to leave their church and start worshiping at home they set aside time every Sunday morning to gather as a family read the Bible pray and sing worship songs they found that this time together was far more meaningful than the church services they had been attending they were able to worship freely without the distractions of a formal church service and they felt a deeper connection with God as a result as CS Lewis reminds us if we find ourselves with a desire that nothing

in this world can satisfy the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world as chosen ones we understand that worship is about more than just going through the motions it's about connecting with God in a genuine and heartfelt way whether we're in a church at home or in nature we can worship in spirit and in truth knowing that God is with us the first century church was not a formal institution it wasn't about hierarchy power or control it was about Community people coming together in love supporting one another and growing in their

faith together but today many churches feel more like corporations than communities in Acts 2:46 47 we see a beautiful picture of the early church every day they continued to meet together together in the temple courts they broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere Hearts praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people this sense of community of sharing life together is what the church was meant to be unfortunately many modern churches have drifted far from this model instead of being focused on community they have adopted a corporate structure with

pastors acting more like CEOs and congregants treated like customers the focus is on maintaining the institution building bigger buildings attracting more people and raising more money for chosen ones this corporate mentality is a major turnoff we are not interested in being part of an institution we are seeking genuine Community where people know each other support each other and grow together in their faith but many churches today have lost this sense of community I recently spoke with a group of believers who left their large church and started meeting in their homes they gather every week for

prayer Bible study and fellowship there are no titles no hierarchies and no agendas just a group of people who love God and want to grow together in their faith they share their struggles encourage one another and hold each other accountable in their walk with God this is the kind of community that the early church modeled and it's what many chosen ones are seeking today we are not looking for corporate churches with big buildings and flashy programs we are looking for genuine relationships and authentic spiritual growth one of the most frustrating things for chosen ones is

that many churches don't Foster true spiritual growth instead of challenging people to grow in their faith many churches focus on keeping people comfortable and entertained in Hebrews 51214 we read in fact though by this time you ought to be teachers you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God's word all over again you need milk not solid food anyone who lives on milk being still an infant is not acquainted with the teaching about rightous ious but solid food is for the mature who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from Evil

many churches today are still feeding their congregation spiritual milk the sermons are often shallow focusing on feel-good messages that keep people comfortable but don't challenge them to grow there is little emphasis on deep theological study personal spiritual discipline or the call to live a life of sacrifice and service for chosen ones this is incredibly frustrating we are hungry for solid food we want to dive deep into God's word to wrestle with difficult truths and to grow in our faith but many churches are more interested in keeping their members entertained than in helping them mature spiritually

if you're a chosen one who is frustrated with the lack of spiritual growth in your church know that you don't have to rely on the church to grow in your faith you can take your spiritual growth into your own hands here are a few practical ways to do that one personal Bible study dive deep into God's word on your own use study guides commentaries and other resources to help you understand the Bible more fully two prayer and meditation spend time in prayer and meditation seeking God's guidance and asking him to reveal his truth to you

three spiritual disciplines practice spiritual disciplines like fasting Solitude and service to deepen your relationship with God four join a small group find a group of like-minded believers who are committed to growing in their faith and hold each other accountable finally as chosen ones we know that our calling goes beyond the walls of the church we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the world to bring the gospel to the lost and to live out our faith in every area of our lives in Matthew 28:19 to 20 Jesus gives us the Great

Commission therefore go and make disciples of all Nations baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you this this is our mission as chosen ones many churches today seem more focused on maintaining their institutions than on fulfilling the Great Commission they are more interested in getting people into the building than in sending people out to make a difference in the world but as chosen ones we know that our calling is not to sit in a Pew it's to

go out and make disciples for many chosen ones this means stepping outside of the traditional Church structure and finding new ways to live out the Great Commission this could mean starting a Ministry in your community sharing the gospel online or simply living out your faith in your everyday life if you feel that God is calling you to something bigger than the church here are a few practical steps you can take to start living out your calling one pray for guidance ask God to show you how he wants you to live out your calling be open

to his leading even if it takes you outside of your comfort zone two start small you don't have to start a big ministry right away start small by sharing your faith with the people in your life volunteering in your community or getting involved in a local outreach program three use your gifts God has given you unique gifts and talents that wants you to use for his glory whether it's teaching writing serving or something else find ways to use your gifts to further his kingdom as chosen ones you are called to a higher purpose we are

spiritually Discerning deeply connected to God's truth and passionate about living out our faith in the world but sadly many churches today no longer reflect that truth they have become places of politics performance and stagnation but this doesn't mean that we are without hope in fact it means that we are being called to something greater we are being called to forge our own path to worship God in spirit and in truth and to create spiritual communities that reflect the Heart of Jesus so if you felt disconnected from the church know that you're not alone many chosen
