3 Hours of True Craigslist Horror Stories

last year I was selling my car I had a 2015 Toyota Camry but I recently started leasing a new car and I didn't need the Camry anymore I had bought the Camry on Craigslist and paid a good amount of money for it so I wanted to get all that I could when I listed it I listed it for about the top price that was still within reason at first the card didn't Garner much attention the ad was on Craigslist for probably four or 5 days before I was contacted the first person that contacted me sent

me a lowball offer which I declined the second person who texted me about the car said that they wanted to look at it and were seriously considering buying it we texted back and forth for a bit it was a man who told me his name was Rob Rob told me that he worked really odd hours and the only time he would be able to look at the car was late at night he then asked if he could see it at 11:00 p.m. the next night this seemed strange to me but I understood that some people

work strange hours and don't have much time he told me that he was very serious about buying the car and if he liked it he would buy it that same night he offered me slightly less for the car over text it was a number that I was willing to accept though I thought about it for a few minutes and then I agreed with him I really wanted to sell the car and I suggested that we meet at a nearby shopping center or something Rob recommended a mall parking lot and I agreed I knew where it

was and it was maybe 10 minutes from my house we agreed to meet at the East side of the parking lot at the next night before leaving I called my brother who lives a few minutes away from me luckily he said he would stay up in case I needed a ride back back home to my apartment if I sold the car I drove to the mall shortly after 11: when I arrived the parking lot was completely empty and very quiet there were a few lights here and there it was kind of spooky being there at

that time I parked in a spot on the east side just like we agreed and I texted Rob that I was there Rob texted me back saying that he was running a tad bit late because of work but would be there soon I stayed in my car parked and looked around the quiet parking lot as I was looking I noticed something on the ground I squinted my eyes and looked closer it appeared to be a dollar bill of some sort on the ground I couldn't tell the amount if it was a one or if it

was a 100 but it definitely looked like a dollar bill I thought about getting out of my car to go grab it but I just decided to drive closer to it for some reason it was maybe 30 ft away and there was a large garbage dumpster about 20 ft beyond the dollar bill I put my car into gear and drove closer when I pulled up near it I saw that it was a $100 bill I was just about to stop my car right there get out and grab it but that's when I noticed something else

there was somebody hiding behind the dumpster crouched down they moved out of view and farther behind the dumpster right after I saw them something about this was too sketchy I kept driving so that I could get a view of the person behind the dumpster but they once again moved out of sight behind the other side of it I parked in a nearby spot I wanted to leave but Rob wasn't there yet so I decided to call him but then I had a strange thought I rolled down my window a little as I called Rob it

was completely quiet outside when I called him I just barely heard a phone ring and it was coming from behind the dumpster as soon as I heard it I sped out of the parking lot I got back on the street and drove home Rob texted me asking me where I went I didn't respond to him though instead I blocked him I know that was him doing some kind of setup to probably rob me that $100 bill might have been real or fake but whoever was hiding behind that dumpster was probably planning to jump me or

something I'm really glad I didn't fall for it this story took place last fall at the time I had just recently moved to a house for college I was living with three different roommates and none of us had much Furniture we had some things for our own bedrooms such as desks chairs and our beds but we didn't have couches and things like that I decided to look on craigslist for some couches and other chairs we could use in our living room I didn't have much money to spend but we still wanted some decent Furniture in

our house after searching for about 10 minutes I was able to find one that looked to be a pretty good couch for us to use we didn't need or want anything that nice knowing that we would probably just get rid of it when we all moved out of the house the couch that I found only costed $50 and after showing it to my roommates we all agreed to go buy it I contacted the seller who was at the other end of town but said that whenever we wanted to come and buy it we could so

that at night my roommate Ben and I both went in my car and drove to by the couch took us only about 15 minutes to get there because like I said it was all the way at the other end of town when we arrived at the address Ben and I got out of the car and walked up to the house we were in a neighborhood that honestly didn't look the greatest and in fact seemed a little bit sketchy it was only about 9:00 p.m. but nobody else seemed to be out on any of the roads

at the time when we got up to the house we knocked on the door it opened up and a man stood in the the doorway he was very tall and thin had blondish hair and asked what we wanted I told him we were there for the couch he then asked for $20 which was strange because it was listed at 50 online I wasn't going to question it though and I handed him the money I could see that the couch was already right up against the wall near the front door and the man then pointed to

it as he walked away Ben and I each grabbed one end of the couch and then walked out the door and put it into the back of my truck then we got in and drove back I drove and when we had made it all the way back to our house and gotten onto our street Ben told me that we were being followed I had no idea that somebody had been following us but now that I looked back there was a car with its headlights on a ways down the street I said it's probably just the

neighbor but Ben said it had followed us all the way from the neighborhood where we had bought the couch I parked anyways right in front of our house I really wasn't scared of some random person following us for whatever reason and they weren't getting out of their car whoever they were plus there was a chance that maybe was just a neighbor although those chances seemed pretty slim the car was at least a good 100 ft back though we brought the couch inside and put it into place in our living room it was then that we

noticed out of the front window that the car that had followed us was now idling right in front of our house we both went to the window and looked we did have window shades but they were all the way open at the time and I'm pretty sure whoever was in the car could see us well however we couldn't really see the driver of the car at all after watching the car for a good minute or or so I decided to go out and see who they were and what they wanted I opened the door and

stepped outside but the instant I did the car sped away screeching its tires and all I went back inside and Ben and I tried to figure out what that was all about but at the end of the day we didn't know and they hadn't done anything so we really didn't care all that much over the next few days things were normal and fine but then things started to get strange again one morning one of my other roommates Brian reported seeing a man standing in our backyard s near his window all of our bedrooms were on

the second floor so Brian could see him but the guy wasn't facing him so he couldn't identify how he looked Brian said he thought it was weird but ultimately just went back to bed then the next night as we were all watching TV in the living room the window shades were partially closed but I noticed what appeared to be two men walking through our front yard I went over and looked out and saw them go past to the side of the house after that they went out of sight but all of us living there would

continue to see random people in the yard or cars driving and stopping in front of the house randomly this went on for about a week or two and then all of a sudden it just stopped after that none of us ever noticed anything like that again it was really bizarre and I still don't have [Music] answers several months ago I dropped my phone on the ground and broke it it was broken to the point that I couldn't even use it and the phone seemed to be damaged Beyond repair my phone was my main communication and

I use it a lot for my work so I knew I needed a new one immediately I decided to turn to Craigslist to see if there was any good deals I figured it would be really fast and possibly getting one the same day I looked around on my laptop for no longer than 5 minutes before finding something that looked promising to me it was the same model of phone that I had before and the price was very reason reble it was said to be used but in good working condition and unlocked as well my friend

loaded me their phone for the day so I could text the seller I contacted them and asked them how soon I could buy it it took them a little while to respond though and they said they were at work and worked until 8:00 p.m. so the earliest I could come by was 9: I was somewhat disappointed but I figured it was still faster than buying one online and a lot cheaper than getting one from a store so I agreed at about 8:30 I got another text which was an address and the person saying stop by

now I got in my car right away and drove to the location which was about 15 minutes away it was in a neighborhood that had a lot of relatively small houses that were close to each other the street seemed pretty quiet and I matched the address on the text to the one on the street I parked my car on the side of the road and walked up to the front step I waited for a response but I wasn't getting one then I heard movement right inside the front door and saw that the door was being

opened I expected someone to be there and invite me in but instead the door just opened about a foot and then I heard someone walk away I stood there for a second not sure if it was an invitation to come in or what I called out hello but didn't get a response I continued to stand there until I saw the door swing open even more at that point I decided to walk inside as I stepped in I heard the wooden floors creaking at my feet the house was pretty old and mostly dark besides a few

small lamps that were on and some kitchen lights in the back the door opened to a living room with a couch and a couple chairs but was mostly pretty empty then I saw a staircase in a hallway in the middle I took another step in and said I'm here to buy the phone again no response then I noticed from behind the wall of the the kitchen out into the hallway a man come about halfway out he had a huge smile on his face so big that I could see all of his teeth and his eyes

were wide open he looked insane he held out his hand with the phone in it but didn't say anything he took his other hand and slowly pointed it at me and then waved me over all while having the same creepy smile on his face the entire time I felt nothing but scared and turned and ran out of the house all the way back to my car a couple of years ago I responded to a Craigslist ad for a TV I was in the market for a new one after mine broke and unfortunately I hadn't gotten

the warranty for it I searched on Craigslist because I figured that's where the best deals would be people on Craigslist are generally just trying to get rid of stuff and we'll sell it somewhere else if they want more money that's what I was thinking so after searching for a while I found a TV that looked good it was 55 in relatively new and was a good price not so cheap that it looked like a scam but cheap enough that it was a really good deal I saw that it was a new listing and I decided

to contact the seller immediately so that nobody else would get it before I had a chance to the seller responded to me rather quickly and I asked to look at the TV I had the money and was prepared to buy it as long as it worked and everything but my main problem was how I would bring it back to my place my car was really small and there was no way I was going to fit it in there my buddy Dany had a truck that it would fit in so I texted him and asked him

if he would help me out meanwhile I was told that I would be able to see the TV that day at 3:00 p.m. and I agreed to go see it my Hope was that Danny would be able to possibly meet me there with his truck but a few minutes later he wasn't responding to my text I had to leave and I drove to the location I was given to it was about 15 minutes away from where I lived I got to the neighborhood which looked pretty average to me it was a residential area that was

a little bit out in the country but not too much most houses were decently spread apart with larger yards and a decent amount of trees around I arrived at the address and parked on the side of the street in front of it it was a nice looking house with a long driveway they had some nice decorations outside and a garden in the front yard I texted the seller letting him know that I was there and he told me to come up to the front door I got out of my car and walked up the driveway

then knocked on the front door A man answered and said his name was Dave Dave had gray hair and a gray goatee he was maybe in his 50s or 60s he told me he was selling the TV because his son gave him one and he just wanted to get rid of this one now cuz he didn't need it he then told me that he had some other people interested so we hoped I would be able to buy it after I saw the TV sitting in his living room and we turned it on I told him

yes I would like to buy it but I wouldn't be able to drive it to my place I explained how I texted my friend and then I checked to see if Danny had gotten back to me he had but he said he wouldn't be able to help me until tonight I asked the man if there was any chance he would be able to hold the TV for me just until 8:00 p.m. when I would be back I was surprised but the man agreed but he said he wouldn't hold it any longer I left and went

back home and when Danny came by with his truck that night I texted Dave the seller and he said it was fine for me to come and buy the TV now Danny and I drove back to Dave's Place now at night time when we arrived at the neighborhood and made our way to the address I got confused Dave's house looked different all of the lights were off the yard decorations were gone and even the flowers were gone it looked as though it was a completely different place than a few hours earlier Danny shut his engine

off and had already gotten out of the truck I got out and told him to wait because it just didn't look right Danny was confused and asked why as he began to walk up the driveway I told him how it looked like nobody lived there now and he did agree that it seemed creepy I called Dave to let him know that I was there now but after I called him there was no answer I texted him as well but I couldn't get a response we got back in the truck and sat in there waiting for

about 15 minutes but I didn't get any responses from Dave I figured maybe he sold it to somebody else after all or something and we decided we should just go back home I was frustrated and I was also really weirded out by the whole situation that night I was awoken in the middle of the night to my phone ringing I picked it up and saw that Dave was call calling me it was almost 4:00 a.m. I decided to answer it because I was really curious why he was calling me now when I picked up I

could hear Dave's Voice start to speak but I couldn't make out anything that he was saying he then began to laugh like a maniac and it really gave me the creeps his laughing got louder and louder and then he hung up took me a while to get back to sleep but I was so creeped out by the whole situation that the next day I drove all the way back to the neighborhood I knocked on Dave's door but nobody answered the house still looked abandoned so I went to the neighbor across the street and knocked on

his door and asked him if he knew the guy who lived there he told me that nobody currently lived in that house and hadn't for a couple of weeks after learning this I went back to Craigslist and found that the listing had been deleted I also looked at my phone and tried to call and text Dave again but my number was now blocked [Music] for a little bit of background to this story I live in a quiet neighborhood it's not in the middle of nowhere and we have neighbors but everyone has a little bit more

land I would say most properties are about 2 or 3 acres large I live with my wife but when this took place she was out of town with her best friend so I had just finished mowing the lawn and I saw that I got a text message from from a new number on my phone I had no idea as to who it was the text said the person was from Craigslist and they wanted to know if they could come over now I have never used Craigslist before in my life and I was pretty sure my

wife hadn't either I texted back saying that it was the wrong number and I didn't use Craigslist within a short time I got a response which was my exact address then they said this is your address right I was really creeped out when I read it and I didn't know how to respond I called my wife and asked her if she had any idea what this could be but she didn't know so I just didn't respond to the number hoping that it was maybe a joke or something several hours went by and then I received

another text from this number this time the text said so can I come over or what I responded saying no don't come over I have nothing for sale I did not get a response for a while not until about 10:00 that night there was then a text message from the same number saying I'm here this one really creeped me out I texted back saying who are you the response was that they were from Craigslist which confused me even more but it was time to see if this guy was all talk or if he actually showed

up I moved out into the living room and looked out of my front window the neighborhood typically gets very dark at night and does not have street lights so I couldn't really see much I wasn't noticing any cars in my driveway or on the road or anything I went over and sat back down on the couch in the family room where I had been that room was just a ways off of the living room probably like 10 seconds after sitting down I got another text it said check the front window I got up and walked

into the living room as soon as I stepped into it I saw this man standing right outside of the living room window he was maniacally staring at me with these wide eyes it was one of the strangest things I've ever seen and I did not recognize the guy at all I called the police right then and there the guy kept standing there for the next minute or so not moving then suddenly he just turned and ran off sprinting out of my sight the cops came out and searched all around the guy had run away though

and was gone I blocked the number and checked out the front window several more times after the police left but didn't come back thankfully and I haven't seen or heard from the man since then it's still a big mystery to me though how did he get my address and and who exactly was he I really have no idea I recently got my first car and moved outside of the city for years I had rode my bike just about everywhere but after I got my car I really stopped using it it was a very nice bike

so I decided to sell it on Craigslist and see what I could get for it the bike was up for a few days before I got any responses finally I got one a man named John said he was very interested and wanted to buy it I gave him my address and told him to come byy that evening when the time came I got the bike and went out to my driveway a short time later I saw a van come around the corner towards my house it was a kind of old looking van and it parked

right in front of my house a man got out and introduced himself to me he wore a cap and his clothes were sort of dirty he told me he was John and then he started looking at the bike he examined it for a couple of minutes and then felt one of the tires he said the tire seemed low and asked if I could get my pump from the garage in my opinion the tire was just fine and I was sort of afraid he would try to steal the bike if I walked away so I told

him I didn't have a pump the man then asked if we could go into my garage because it looked like it was going to rain it was cloudy but I didn't really think it was going to rain and overall the man was really sketching me out I told him no and the man then just simply turned around and walked back to his car I brought the bike back up my driveway I waited for the man to leave but he just seemed to be sitting there in his car I went behind my house to put put

the bike away and then went inside it took about 30 minutes for the vanan to drive away I kept an eye on him the whole time because the man had just come across is a little suspicious to me the situation made me a little more skeptical about Craigslist because I really hadn't used it before and I had heard lots of bad things but I figured it was all just Stories the next day when I woke up I walked out my front door like I did every day to water several of my plants that I had

out there when I opened the door I noticed the van was parked in front of my house again as soon as I seemed to notice it it violently pulled out onto the street and drove away making a screeching noise as it did I was left pretty shocked I didn't know what they were doing there if they were planning something bad but I'm not aware of them returning since this was all just a few weeks ago and I've decided to just keep the bike last summer I went on Craigslist to look for a car I'd been

driving a pretty old car for the last 2 years and when it started to have problems I took it to a mechanic to find out it needed quite a few repairs and at that point it just wasn't worth it I sold the car for what I could get for it and luckily I had some money saved up in the past I'd always bought my cars on Craigslist I got them used from other people and was able to get some pretty good deals that way I was looking for another used car but obviously something newer and

more reliable than my previous one after a few days of looking and borrowing one of my parents old cars I found one that I thought was really nice and was a good deal it was a 2010 Subaru Forester listed for a very reasonable price I knew these cars sold really fast and I saw it was a new listing So I responded to it immediately I reached out to the seller and I figured a lot of people would do the same I asked if I could take a look at the car as soon as possible the

seller then contacted me a short time later and said that he could show me the car that night after he got off work he offered to meet in a grocery store parking lot by his house when the time came at around 8:00 p.m. the man said that he would be at the location in an hour I drove to the address that he sent me and got there a few minutes early it was a grocery store parking lot that was pretty big but the store was closed and the parking lot was completely empty besides me I

texted the seller telling him that I was there he responded that he would be there within 5 minutes a short time later I saw a car pull into the parking lot but it wasn't a Subaru Forester instead it just looked like an average white car I figured it was someone else until the car parked just a few spaces away from me I then saw a guy get out of the car who appeared to be on the younger side he walked towards my car I opened my door and got out the man reached out his hand

to me and said his name was Al I introduced myself back to him he then asked me if I would like to see the car I looked at what appeared to be a white Ford Fusion which was nothing like the green Subaru Forester I had planned to look at I told the man I thought he was selling a Subaru Forester the man looked at me for a few seconds and then started laughing a nervous laugh he then apologized and told me this was another car that he was selling and had just got his appointments mixed

up he then pulled out his phone and started looking through it as was doing this I saw out of the corner of my eye in the backseat of his car someone's head slowly creep up I only saw the top half of their head and their eyes looked at me before the head quickly ducked back down I found this strange as if someone was hiding in the back from me although I only saw the top half of the person's head it appeared to be a grown man as Al kept looking at his phone I asked him

who was in his car he told me nobody was and he had come alone I told him it looked like someone was in the backseat of his car Al then interrupted me and said he saw now that I had responded to his ad for a Subaru Forester and not the Ford Fusion he then apologized for getting them confused I asked him if he was a dealer but he said no he just had a couple of cars for sale at the moment by this time I was feeling sort of weirded out and being in a quiet

parking lot at night didn't help Al then asked me if I was interested in looking at the Ford Fusion anyways he started trying to sell me on the car saying that he would give me a great deal and that I could even test drive drive it it really wasn't what I was looking for though and I told him no thanks I then told Al once again that I was sure I saw someone in his back seat Al then walked over to his car and got inside I saw him look in the back and then he

rolled down his passenger window and said to me nobody's in there then he drove away without saying another word I then got back into my car and drove home after getting home I realized just how weird of a situation it was Al seemed really suspicious to me like he was hiding something and I didn't know what was going on when I went to look at the Craigslist listing again it was gone the next day I decided to report the whole encounter in Craigslist to this day I don't know who the guy in the backseat of

the car was if it was some sort of set up to rob me or something like that I don't know but the fact that the AL guy seemed to have multiple listings scares me and makes me think if he was planning to rob me or something he was going to do it to multiple people I have a Craigslist horror story that I would like to share this should also serve as a warning to anybody using these types of websites so I was recently selling my old laptop a few years ago it was a MacBook Pro

so I knew that I could get decent money for it the computer model was still somewhat new and mine worked very well I just had to get a new one for work and I use it every day so anyways I listed the old one on Craigslist for $1,000 I know this is a lot of money but it was actually worth slightly more within 24 hours of posting the ad online I got a response it was a text from someone saying that they wanted to buy the laptop I told them that the price was 1,000 cash

and made sure that they were okay with it if they negotiated with me I might go down a little bit but I really didn't want to sell it for much less than a th000 the person said they were good with the ,000 though so I suggested that we meet somewhere in public I knew better than to give out my address or anything like that well the person suggested Walmart and I said yes because I knew that Walmart is a very public place with a lot of people what they said next should have made me not

go through with it though the person said they could only meet 10: p.m. or later they claimed that they worked overnights and this was the only possible time it seems sketchy to me but I guessed that it was possible finally I asked their name and I introduced myself I was told his name was Derek so I knew it was a guy and I asked him what he looked like so I would know it was him he said he was average height and had dark hair that didn't really narrow it down much but I guess I

did have a basic description after that we agreed on 10:15 the next night at Walmart so the next night I showed up shortly after 10:00 I parked sort of in the middle of the parking lot by now Walmart was very quiet and they closed at 11: I believe I texted Derek letting him know that I was there he didn't respond for a while though I waited and waited and soon got frustrated at like 10:30 he finally responded and said that he would be there in about 15 minutes I was annoyed but if he bought my

computer it would be worth it so I waited patiently and just did stuff on my phone more time went by though had short after 11: I was about to leave when Derek finally texted me saying that he was there he then said that he was at the back of the parking lot I looked around but I couldn't see much from where I was eager to sell the laptop already I drove farther to the back of the parking lot there were several random cars spread out and I didn't know which one was Derek I couldn't tell

if anybody was inside any of them but most appeared to be empty so I just kind of parked in a random spot in the back and then asked him again where he was he did not immediately respond to me then out of nowhere I saw this car approaching I knew that it had to be Derek but when it got closer I noticed that the driver was wearing a black ski mask then I saw someone in the passenger seat and they were also wearing a ski mask I saw somebody in the back seat as well and

they were also wearing a ski mask they pulled up right into the parking space next to me I just drove away when I saw that the car started to follow me at first but when we made it to the front of the parking lot there was actually a police car in front of the Walmart when I saw it I drove straight for it I then noticed the car behind me making a complete U-turn in the narrow Walmart parking aisle I continued over to the police car only to see that it appeared to be empty it

worked though and the guys were gone I drove home and then blocked the number after that I took my laptop off of Craigslist and listed it on eBay instead [Music] a few years ago I was in the market for a new car by new car I mean newer than the one that I was currently driving at the time my car was over 20 years old and would occasionally break down I finally had some money saved up and was looking for something a little bit better I started looking around on Craigslist this is where I had

gotten my first car and I knew that they had a lot of good deals I was also familiar with the website and had been looking there for almost a month I found a car that looked pretty good it was cheap sort of high miles but lower than my current car it was definitely an upgrade I decided that I was serious about it and I contacted the owner to look at it it turned out that the owner was a small dealer in the local town and he said that I could come and see the car the

next day so I went there and it was a place that I had never seen before it was sort of rundown looking and even a bit sketchy the building was small and the parking lot had areas of cracked concrete with weeds growing out of it the place had eight total cars for sale none of which looked very appealing still the prices were cheap the building was small but had two stories and it looked very old I walked up and tried going inside but the door was locked so I knocked on it a short time later

a man opened the door and introduced himself to me as Terry he shook my hand and asked me what car it was again that I was interested in Terry had a mustache and wore a hat I would describe him as fitting in with the place nicely I reminded him of the car that I was interested in and pointed it out on the lot a few feet away we both walked over to it and then Terry said let's go get the paperwork I was a little bit confused because I hadn't agreed to buy it yet or

anything maybe he wanted us to test drive it or maybe he didn't know the general information on the car so we both went inside the building when I got inside I saw a small hallway and then a few doors then there was a staircase going upstairs Terry told me to go upstairs and that's where it was located I walked up the narrow staircase and as I reached the top Terry stood there and showed me which room to go in there were only two doorways at the top of the stairs in a tiny hallway I started

to walk into the room there was nothing in it though no desk no paperwork the windows had bars over them and it just looked really creepy I didn't want to go in I suddenly said actually I really have to go to the bathroom right now do you have one I could use Quick Terry paused for a few seconds before he answered he then told me that he did have one downstairs and told me to be quick he said that he would show me where it was and we both walked back down the stairs when we

got down he showed me to a small room that was the bathroom when I got inside it was very small and dirty but now I was away from Terry I was still really creeped out though why did he want me to go in that room as I was in the bathroom I could tell that Terry was right outside the door directly on the other side this was also really suspicious I just wanted to leave at this point I no longer cared about buying that car I went to leave the bathroom and as soon as I

started opening the door it hit Terry who was standing right outside of it when it did I quickly closed the door again then I decided to just open the door really fast the door opened onto Terry and it pushed him back a little it created a sort of wall between me and him I ran out of the room and to the right then I ran straight for the door I heard him yelling something at me but I didn't stop to listen soon I was out of the building and sprinting for my car when I made

it I got inside and drove out of there I got home and when I looked the Craigslist ad was deleted I tried finding that car place on the map but it was not showing up as a business I really don't know what to deal with it was but I never went back 2 years ago my PlayStation 4 broke and I was looking to buy a new one being a high school senior and not having much money I looked on Craigslist to see if I could find a good deal after a couple of days of looking

I saw a new listing for one and it was a really good price I didn't waste any time and texted asking if it was still available the number texted back within 5 minutes saying that it was I asked if I could buy it later that day they said yes and they told me to come at 8:00 p.m. that night I was excited to get the PlayStation and at about 7:30 I left it was only about 15 minutes away and I arrived early when I got to the house it didn't look very nice it was quite

frankly gross looking the grass in the front yard was way overgrown and the driveway had cracks all over it I could even see boards over one of the windows I could see inside of any other windows because there was large blankets or something covering them the neighborhood itself was not the best but it wasn't too bad and did have a few nice houses I waited in my car for a while and finally I texted that I was there they replied that the PlayStation was inside and I should come in at this point the sun was

setting and I didn't feel very comfortable going into that house alone but being the 17-year-old boy that I was I I told myself not to be scared and I got out of my car and walked to the house as I walked up to the door I saw out of the corner my eye the blanket covering the windows move I knew somebody had seen me and I walked up to the step and knocked on the door nobody answered then I got a text thing to just come in I slowly opened the door as soon as I

did I could smell the strong old musty smell of the house when I looked inside all the lights were off I didn't see anything I was getting sketched out and thought about leaving just then I saw a light turn on from the other end of the house it wasn't that bright but it lit up the place a little bit I called out and said hello but there was no response I took a couple steps inside when I did I saw the house had no furniture in it at all things were just seeming too weird to

me so I finally made up my mind for sure that it wasn't worth it and I was going to go home I turned around to leave and as I grabbed the door I heard footsteps coming from the other room I didn't stop to turn around I didn't stop to turn around I got out and slammed the door shut behind me I ran to my car and got in I never looked back I drove away and when I got home I had a text from the man it was an exploitive filled text telling me I shouldn't

have left I blocked the number and decided to just look on eBay for a PS4 [Music] instead one time I was going to buy a TV on Craigslist this was years ago but I would browse Craigslist at work all the time back then several times I got really good deals or things for free you never really knew what you would find there but you also had to be very careful so I found this really good deal on a nice TV I was in the market for one and the ad looked legit the price was cheap

but not so cheap that it would make me wonder if it was too good to be true the pictures of the TV appeared to be in somebody's home I responded to the advertisement and said that I would like to buy the TV if it was still available within an hour I got a text back from the seller saying that it was available it was a woman who said her name was Joy she gave me an address and told me to come over the following night to buy the TV I looked up the address and it

appeared to be a house in a neighborhood that was maybe 10 minutes away so the next day I got the cash and drove to the address I parked on the side of the street in front of the house in what appeared to be an average neighborhood I think it was about 7:00 p.m. when I knocked on on the door it was quickly answered by a woman she looked to be in her 30s and was about average height with dark hair she said hi and invited me inside I stepped into what looked to be the living

room of the house there were boxes around and stuff as if maybe they were moving there really wasn't that much furniture and joy said sorry that it was a mess and I said it was fine she then told me that the TV was in her bedroom she then led me to the hallway and stopped and opened the door to the bedroom she said the TV was in there and I stepped inside when I did I noticed that the room appeared to be completely empty though and right after I got inside the door slammed shut behind

me it all happened so fast I looked around and there was no TV in there I turned back and saw that Joy had closed the door on me she hadn't even entered the room I walked over and tried opening the door but it was locked from the outside it was so weird I knocked on the door and asked Joy what was going on but she did not answer me I kept trying the door for a minute or two and it just wouldn't open then I was yelling for somebody to open the door but was getting

no response after realizing that wasn't working I looked around the room it was a small bedroom and was completely empty there was literally no furniture at all I got up my phone and tried calling my friend but I was getting no signal in there I thought that was weird I tried opening the door and calling for help again but it was apparent that nobody was going to respond to me I looked around the room wondering what on Earth was going on several minutes into this and I started to hear noises coming from outside the room

it seemed like they were coming from the living room area it was joy and the sound of a man's voice I couldn't tell what they were saying but I could just hear that they were talking to each other I yelled again but got no response at after that I went over to the window and tried to open it but for some reason it wouldn't budge this angered me and I went back over to the door and started banging on it as hard as I could I wanted to break the door down then I heard a

man's voice yelling at me to stop from down the hallway I didn't know what these people were capable of I did stop but just for a moment then I took up my phone and found my alarms I turned my volume all the way up and started playing the most annoying alarm noise then I put my phone at the far side of the room I then walked over and stood just behind the door on the other side of that within probably 30 seconds I heard somebody walking towards the room then they got right outside the door

the door then opened and a man walked in he turned and first started going towards my phone making all the noise I came out from around the corner and ran past him leaving the room he tried grabbing me at the last second but I just barely slipped by him when I ran out of the room I went down the hallway then when I got to the living room I saw Joy standing there she sort of tried to stop me but I was going too fast and got around her as well by now the man had

started to run after me I opened up the door and when I was doing so Joy grabbed at my arm I just got out the door though they were both running towards me and I sprinted from my car and luckily still had my keys on me I unlocked my car got inside and sped away from the now sadly I left my phone so I couldn't immediately call the police I stopped at the first gas station that I saw went inside and asked the employee to call the police they got to the gas station and after

talking with police we went back to the house they recovered my phone on the side of the street a block up when they went to the house nobody was there I found out that those people did not actually live in the home and somebody else had been renting it so I don't know if those two were ever caught when I looked the Craigslist post was gone I just know that I'm never using Craigslist again after that this was the first and only time I ever used Craigslist it was about 5 years ago in the springtime

when the snow was all melted and the grass was starting to grow long again I went to my garage to get the lawn mower I had an old push mower and it hadn't been used in months when I wheeled it out of my garage it wouldn't start I couldn't figure out the problem and after researching online with no luck I realized I probably needed to buy a new one the one I had was really old anyways and it had had some problems in the past my art is not all that big so I only needed

another push mower and I figured they wouldn't be too expensive to buy a used one I went to Craigslist and searched in my local area for lawnmowers after browsing for a little while I found one that seemed to be the best deal it was $100 and it seemed like a reasonable price to me after some thought I decided to reach out and let the seller know that I was interested in buying it I texted the number that was on the listing and received a response about an hour later the response said that if I wanted

to buy the mower I could come by and purchase it tomorrow night I agreed and I was then provided with an address and a time to pick it up which was 8:00 p.m. this was a little later than I would have liked but I agreed the next night I drove my small SUV to the address that I was sent and I texted the seller letting them know that I was on my way I got a text back saying sounds good the mower's in the garage come right in it took me almost 20 minutes to get

there and it was a little bit farther than I wanted when I arrived it seemed to be a pretty typical residential neighborhood there were a bunch of houses along both sides of the street I saw the address of the house that I was going to the garage door was open and I parked my car on the side of the street I texted the seller that I had arrived I waited in my car until I got a response it took about a minute but the seller said come on up I got out of my car walked

across the street and then up the driveway when I got inside the garage it was not very well lit there was just a dim light bulb in the middle I looked around and there was miscellaneous stuff that you would typically find in a garage but there was no lawnmower I took a few more steps in and called out hey I'm here I didn't hear anything I saw the normal step up to the door leading to the house but then I saw another door it was in the far back right corner and this this was a

door that was open and seemingly leading into another hallway I saw a piece of a cardboard box was propped up against the door and written in marker it said lawn mower and then had an arrow pointing inside the door I was a little confused by this and it seemed a little bit sketchy but I walked over to it when I got to the doorway things were pretty dark and I couldn't see well but I did see that there was a door to the right and then a staircase going straight down to seemingly a basement the

arrow was pointing down the stairs so maybe this guy had his lawnmower in the basement for some reason I started walking down the stairs to the basement area when I made it to the bottom of the stairs I could now see that the entire basement appeared to be unfinished and the lighting wasn't much better in there either still I didn't see a lawn mower then I heard noise coming from up the stairs it was the door from the garage leading to the basement and it was closing it wasn't slammed or anything it was closed relatively

quietly but I still heard it I looked up the staircase but didn't see anybody whoever had closed the door closed it from the outside I suddenly had a really bad feeling and I just wanted to leave I walked back up the stairs as quickly as I could as I was making it to the top of the stairs I heard another door closed and then footsteps somebody else was in the house it sounded like they had gone in the other door leading from the garage I tried opening the door to the garage but it was somehow

locked from the outside I couldn't open it then I tried the other door leading to inside the house that one was already open a crack when I made it inside the rest of the house I saw that I was in some sort of hallway it was small and led to a living room type of area that had a sliding glass door that went out to a back patio I heard footsteps approaching from another room around the corner without hesitating I went to the sliding glass door and opened it once outside I shut it behind me

just in time to see a man coming into view inside the house I didn't get a good look at him at all but he was walking in my direction at a rather fast speed I bolted out of there sprinting all the way from the backyard to around the house and garage and all the way back to my car when I made it inside my vehicle I started the engine and immediately left I drove all the way back home and then I blocked the number just because I didn't want anything to do with that guy I

reported my experience on the Craigslist website and then decided to buy a new lawnmower from the store since then I haven't used Craigslist I'm not sure if I'll use it again sometime maybe things have changed all I know is I will never forget that experience I had and I hope to never have one like that again I'm a male and this happened roughly 2 years ago I was selling my old phone on Craigslist after getting a new one there was nothing wrong with the old phone and it was only 2 years old I figured there

would be a good market for it so I listed it on Craigslist now I was debating between eBay Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist obviously I ended up choosing Craigslist the price I was asking was pretty good I didn't care about making a bunch of money off it I really just wanted to sell the phone fast and after posting it I think within a few hours I got a text message regarding the phone somebody told me that they were interested in buying it I responded to them and said that it was available and they could buy it

as soon as they wanted after texting back and forth a bit longer I gathered that it was a woman whose name was Molly we arranged to meet up the following day outside of a local strip mall it was I think located roughly halfway for us both so it was a good meeting point the next day I took my phone and drove to the location to sell it when I got there everything went as planned Molly showed up and bought the phone from me then we both went our separate ways in the encounter everything seemed normal

we didn't talk a whole lot but I didn't notice anything strange about Molly at all over the next few days things were fine but then Molly began to text me she was texting me telling me to come over and then asking if she could come to my place this came relatively out of nowhere in fact at first I thought she must have the wrong number that is until I saw her mention my name I mean we were not hanging out I was just selling her my iPhone that was the only time I saw her and

I also did not happen to be interested in her but even if I was this was not the way to go about it she sent about four or five texts within an hour of each other late one night I thought maybe she was drunk and that explained the behavior but she then texted me the next morning as well once again saying that she wanted to come over I told her that I had a girlfriend I didn't but I just wanted her to leave me alone she said that didn't matter then she continued to text me

as if we were best friends or something saying what's up and asking what I was doing I was still very confused by all of this when it continued for another day I asked her to stop but she did not she became angry and started cursing me out and stuff at that point I blocked her I thought that was it and even that was a pretty crazy story I mean I guess you never know what could happen when you use Craigslist but that very same night Molly actually showed up at my house I remember hearing a

knock at my front door during this time I lived alone in a small house that I rented when I I looked out of the front window I saw her standing there and I couldn't believe it I mean how did she know where I live had she followed me home I answered the door just to tell her to leave me alone when I opened up though she instantly started cursing me out I told her to leave and she wouldn't she started to advance forward as if to enter my house at that point I slammed the door

shut on her and locked it she tried opening it and then seemingly ran away I just know that I saw her running away off the front step I assumed that she was going but I was wrong probably 30 seconds to a minute later I heard a noise at one of the back windows it was like a banging noise I knew that it was her and I instantly called the police then I sat inside and waited she was pounding on the window and then she went over and tried opening up the back door to the house

at one point I opened up a window a distance away and warned her that I had called the police police but she didn't seem to care she stayed there moving from Windows to doors and banging on them the entire time until the police showed up they were finally able to stop her I ended up having to get a restraining order against Molly I honestly have no idea why she wouldn't leave me alone I suspect drug use but who knows this has taught me to be more careful when using things like Craigs List or Facebook Marketplace

a couple of months ago I decided to sell my TV on Craigslist I had just gotten a new 65in TV and had a 55in one that I had previously used nothing was wrong with it it was just a few years old and smaller than my new one I didn't really have the space to keep it in my house with it being rather large and I thought I could sell it I had never used Craigslist before but thought it would be the best option for me in the area where I lived when I listed the TV

it only took a couple of hours before I got a response I got a text from a man introducing himself as Jim saying he was interested in the TV and would like to buy it he then asked me what times I was available and told me he could look at it that afternoon I said that would work and sent the man my address I had the TV in my living room which was basically right inside the front door of my house it was standing on the floor sort of near the front door but I had

it plugged into an outlet to show that it worked the man arrived right on time and texted me that he was there I looked out and saw a blue car parked on the street in front of my house the man got out and began walking up I walked out the front door and greeted him he looked to be mid 20s and had very short blonde hair we both went inside my house and the man looked around I showed him the TV just as it was in the Craigslist photos and turned it on to show the

man that it worked I was hoping that he would not give me a super low offer but I was willing to negotiate a little bit the man examined the TV for a few minutes and then looked at it from several different angles he then said to me that he really wasn't sure if he could afford it and told me to take care after that he walked out of my front door and left I was sort of annoyed by this because the man had clearly seen the price online and didn't give me any sort of offer

still I figured I would be able to sell the TV and waited for more people to contact me about it for the rest of the day I got two more texts from people with questions about the TV and one of them seemed to interested later that night I was watching TV on my new larger TV and sort of starting to doze off when I heard something it sounded like a noise coming from the window in the hallway on the other side of the living room I glanced over from my chair and didn't see anything and

the noise stopped shortly after so I went back to watching TV the TV volume was pretty loud and as I started to hear a noise again about 20 minutes later I turned the volume down this time I heard again from the window another noise noise I really couldn't tell what type of noise it was or make out the exact sound I looked over again but this time I saw something my window was slid up a good 3 ft and I saw someone's hand in it from the outside I was frozen in fear it seemed or

maybe I was just in disbelief but I didn't move or say anything I watched as a man climbed through the window which was roughly 20 fet away from me all the lights were off in the house and the only light was coming from the TV so I had no no idea who it was at first but then when the person was fully inside the house I could see that it was Al the man who had looked at my TV for sale earlier that day as soon as he got inside he looked to the light which

was coming from the TV then he noticed me he seemed really surprised to see me at first then he demanded my wallet and phone I was worried to give him my phone because then I couldn't call the police or anything I handed it over to him and told him my wallet was in the bedroom which it actually was he asked me where the bedroom was and I told him he told me not to move at all and he backed away facing me towards my bedroom he didn't appear to have a weapon or anything but I

wasn't going to risk it I told him I wouldn't move and Al then asked me where in the bedroom my wallet was located I told him it was on my nightstand and then I watched him go into the room and turn the lights on that's when something in me just decided to run I ran to the kitchen which was in the opposite direction and then quickly opened the sliding glass door which led to the backyard from there I ran as fast as I could to a neighbor's house who I was friendly with I pounded on

their door for a good 20 seconds before they opened up and let me inside from there I used their phone to call the police when the police arrived Al was long gone but I was able to give them a decent amount of information on him he had stolen my wallet phone and TV I had for sale as well as a couple of other valuable items I had as a lesson from this I would recommend commend anyone selling on Craigslist should not give out their address but instead meet in some sort of public location I was

in the market for a new car and decided to check out some options on Craigslist after browsing through a few listings and even test driving a couple of cars that didn't quite meet my expectations I stumbled upon one that seemed like a good the deal the ad boasted about how the car ran great and had no issues and the price was also very reasonable I contacted the seller and we agreed to meet at a local park so I could take a look at the car when I arrived at the park the next day the man

who owned the car came across as really creepy right from the start I had a strange gut feeling about him but I didn't want to jump to conclusions just yet I looked around at the car from the outside and asked very basic questions the man answered them for the the most part like how the gas mileage was and things like that I just really wasn't sure about it though for some reason we both stood near the car and the man insisted on demonstrating how well it ran he didn't offer for me to take it for

a test drive though instead he asked that I get in the passenger side of the back of the car and he would drive I saw that the front passenger seat was like folded up almost and also up against the glove compartment the man explained that the seat had broken and was stuck that way but it would be very easy and cheap for me to fix it he also told me that he would let me drive but he had once had a car stolen from him in the past and is very protective of his things I

remember him also saying he was sure I was a good person but he had to play it safe these things obviously came across as a little bit strange to me but I believed both of his explanations and I got in the back then we took off as soon as he started driving I realized very fast that the car wasn't in the condition that it was advertised online the engine made a really weird sound and the overall performance was far from impressive it was clear that the car was nothing more than a junker and the guy

was seeming sketchier and sketchier by the second I was really disappointed and I mentioned the strange noise the car was making the man kept on driving almost as if he was trying to provve to me that it was a decent vehicle and he told me that the noise was nothing and to not worry about it I started to feel uncomfortable and I wanted the ride to end as soon as possible he kept driving for probably 10 more minutes though as the ride continued I decided to speak up I told the man that the car wasn't

what I expected and I wanted to return to the park he agreed and started to turn the car around and I was happy for this test drive to finally be over with but the guy didn't keep going back the way we had came instead he turned off to another road that I knew wasn't right the roads that we were on were also very quiet I told him I really have to be somewhere hoping that he would finally listen to me instead he turned to me with a Sinister grin and said no you're coming with me

my heart sank as the car continued to speed along and the fact that we were in an area that I didn't know anymore made me increasingly worried I had no idea where we were heading wow I'm being kidnapped this is real I thought to myself the situation was spiraling out of control and I had to think fast to find a way out of it suddenly luck seemed to be on my side as the car's engine started making terrible sounds even worse than before and then smoke started to come out of the hood the man pulled

the vehicle over to the side of the road he was frustrated and he locked the doors and got out to examine the engine there was a child lock on the back seat so I couldn't get out if I could get up to the front seats though it would be possible but the man was right there and I probably wouldn't be able to get past him he would see me moving to the front I sat there for a moment as the man fumbled around with the engine then I noticed a truck coming up behind us on

the quiet road that we were on the side of an opportunity presented itself to me as the truck stopped behind us I quickly jumped into the front driver's seat and unlocked the doors then I jumped out and was just feet away from the man he started to try and stop me but I ran in the opposite direction towards the truck behind us the guy driving the truck looked really confused but ended up letting me in I told him what had happened and the police were called meanwhile the man got back inside his car and tried

desperately to start the engine and drive away but the car still wouldn't start eventually he ended up just getting out and running off into the woods I sat inside the big pickup truck with the driver watching the whole time the police got there about 5 minutes after the guy had ran off into the woods they were able to find him and picked him up in about 15 minutes I'm really grateful that the truck happened to be driving by when it did or else I don't know how I would have gotten away this story happened last

fall my family got a new flat screen TV in our house so we decided to sell the old one we listed it on Craigslist and after a few days a man responded to the ad his name was Charles and he wanted to come over to look at the TV we scheduled the time and he came over when he got there he looked like a normal average guy he had an old truck and told us that he worked in construction my dad and I invited him inside to our living room and showed him the TV he

seemed to like it a lot and we thought he would buy it but after a while he said he would have to pass on it and then he left we were pretty disappointed that he didn't buy it but we figured it would sell anyways later that night as I was in bed playing a game on my phone I heard a noise of what sounded like something scraping on my window I figured figured it was a tree branch or a bug but then I heard it again it was enough to make me go over and look

out the window when I did I didn't see anything and went back to bed after a while I finally got tired and shut off my phone to get some sleep I closed my eyes but just then I heard it again this time it was more of a tapping I wasn't facing the window so I rolled over to my other side to look when I did I saw what looked like the back of a man I recognized it as Charles the man who was at our house earlier I got up and walked over to the window

but he was gone I went to my parents' room but they were already sleeping I debated whether I should wake up my dad or not but decided I must have scared off the man and I would tell them in the morning I went to all the doors in the house and made sure they were locked and then went back to my bedroom to go to bed it took me a long time to fall asleep but eventually I was able to I woke up in the middle of the night to a sound coming from my window

again I looked over to see the man about halfway through the window coming into my room I screamed like a little girl at the top of my lungs the man then backed out of the window and went back outside my dad came into the room within a few minutes minutes he ran to the window but the man had already run away again after going outside my dad couldn't find him so we called the police to report the incident it turns out the lock on my window was faulty and that's how he was able to get

in thinking of it still gives me the creeps I'm a young woman and last fall I tried to sell my car using Craigslist I lived by myself in a small house in a pretty typical neighborhood my car was a 2017 Honda Civic and I was going to be buying a little bit newer car I placed the ad on Craigslist and waited to get some responses the first person to respond was a man named Mike Mike texted me asking if the car was still for sale and said that he was very interested in it I told

him yes and asked if he would like to come and see it he told me that he would and we arranged for him to come over to my house the next day after we both got off work the next evening I got home and took the car out of my garage and parked it at the end of the driveway Mike arrived a little bit later at the agreed time and I met him at the end of the driveway near the car almost immediately things went horrible Mike looked at the car for the first minute or

so but then he became a total creep he started trying to hit on me and made uncomfortable conversation he no longer seemed interested in the car but only with me it got really uncomfortable and really annoying and I wasn't going to take any more of it and I told Mike that I wanted him to leave Mike started to get angry and he said that he wanted to buy my car and told me I was being rude to him for no reason after trying to get him to leave me alone for several more minutes I threatened

to call the police this finally got Mike to leave me alone he angrily stormed off and got back into his car and drove away I was really glad that he was gone he really creeped me out and something about him just seemed a little bit off I brought my car back in the garage and went inside it was later that night when I started receiving texts from him he asked me if he could see the car again but then started texting me the same weird and creepy things that he was saying to me in person

after probably four or five texts from Mike that night all in the span of about an hour I blocked his number and then I replied to one or two people that were actually interested in my car for sale I was in my bedroom on my laptop doing this and it was about 11:00 p.m. or so that's when I heard a knock coming from my bedroom window directly to my left I was startled and looked over to see Mike looking right in my bedroom window at me he was knocking on the window and I couldn't make

out much in the dark other than I knew it was Mike for sure I jumped back and literally hid behind the other side of my bed when I saw him he was now messing around with the window as if he was trying to open it I yelled loudly that I was calling the police I heard Mike yell back that he didn't care and then he disappeared from the window I took my phone and dialed 911 immediately I stayed on with the operator while I waited for the police to arrive I had no idea if Mike

had left or where he was until about a minute later when I heard a banging noise now coming from the backside of my house I couldn't tell exactly where he was but I wasn't going to go and find out the police would be there shortly and I was just hoping that Mike wouldn't get inside of my house it wasn't a very big house it was pretty small and if he got inside it wouldn't take him long to find me I heard the banging now move to a different spot but I still didn't know exactly where

he was it paused for about a minute or two but then it picked back up again and then all of a sudden I heard the terrifying sound of glass breaking coming from somewhere in the opposite side of my house I ran and hid inside my closet in the corner of my bedroom I was hoping that Mike wouldn't be able to get to me and then just in time I heard the sound of a siren coming from right down the street I remained hidden in the closet and listened to what was going on I didn't hear

much movement from inside the house but within a minute I started to hear some yelling coming from the front door the police had arrived and I felt much safer I left my room after an officer came to my door and I was told that they had caught Mike one thing I learned from this experience is to never meet with people from Craigslist at your home and instead she was a public place however I have stayed away from Craigslist altogether since and I sold my car somewhere else I am a 19-year-old girl last summer I needed

to buy a new car after my old one's transmission broke I went on Craigslist to buy it because that's where I had gotten my previous car and I thought they had the best deals I found a car that I liked which was a 2013 Nissan Ultima the price was pretty good so I contacted the seller and asked if I could look at it he said his name was Brian and he told me that he would be available on Friday evening which was the next day I agreed and the next day I went to look at

the car we planned to meet at 6:00 p.m. but Brian ended up moving it to 7:00 saying he had stuff to take care of we met at his house and I drove there in my dad's car he was letting me use Brian lived in a pretty average looking neighborhood and his house looked pretty decent when I arrived I saw the white Nissan and texted him that I was there he said he would be out in a minute and when I saw him leave his house I exited my car to meet him we shook hands and

he began to tell me about the car I looked on the inside and the outside and after about 15 minutes he asked if I wanted to test drive it at this point I really liked the car and I said yes I would like to test drive it he gave me the keys and I got inside and started it he got into the passenger side I drove the car out of his street and onto a busier Road it drove well and I was thinking that I would actually like to buy the car he made a lot

of conversation with me as I drove which I found slightly annoying but I didn't mind too much and figured he's just a talkative guy after about 10 minutes of driving I told him I would head back now he looked surprised and told me I should drive it around some more I said all right and I kept driving he told me to take a left at one point and I assumed he was leading me back to his house after a while later he told me to take a right and I did but I didn't recognize where

we were at all I once again said we should head back and I added that I really like the car and I was interested in buying it then I told him I really didn't know where we were and he would have to direct me back he then told me it would be a lot easier if he just drove because it was kind of complicated I said okay and we pulled over and switched seats as soon as he got in I noticed he locked the doors which made me a little worried but I figured he just

did it out of habit he pulled the car onto the street and began driving his conversation stopped however when he began driving and we just drove silently for a few minutes after about 10 minutes passed I knew knew we should be getting close to his house and I asked him if we were almost there he didn't answer me about another 10 minutes went by and I started to get really concerned I took out my phone to text my mom what was happening as soon as I pulled out my phone the man asked me what I

was doing nothing I said he told me to put the phone away I told him no and asked him where he was taking me he responded by trying to take my phone from me I tucked my knees to my chest and held my phone close to me at that point he pulled over and stopped the car I reclined my seat back as far as it would go and moved away from him into the back he looked at me and told me to give him my phone he said he didn't want to hurt me and he

wouldn't if I cooperated with him we were parked on a fairly busy road and to my surprise after a couple minutes of arguing I saw a truck pull over behind us a man got out of the truck and came to the driver's window he was a pretty bigl looking man who wore a sweatshirt a hat and jeans Brian rolled down his window the man asked if we were okay and if we needed a toe or anything I knew I needed to get out of the car somehow and this was my opportunity Brian started to respond

and say everything was fine but I interrupted him and told him that no our car was not working I think the man could sense the Panic on my face and he asked Brian to get out of the car because he saw something wrong with the back exhaust Brian hesitated but got out I didn't waste any time and unlocked the doors and ran out I ran to the man's truck and stood by the passenger door the man asked me what I was doing and I asked him if he would give me a ride I guess Brian

realized he was no match for the larger man because he then ran to his car and drove away I called the police and the Man in the truck drove me back to my father's car at Brian's where the police met us of course Brian was gone but we did get the license number as well as the Craigslist listing within a couple days they were able to catch Brian I ended up getting a new car several weeks later but I don't look at them alone anymore I have been using Craigslist for years I've used it for

anything from buying and selling items to looking for jobs and getting free stuff I have never once had a bad experience that is until last week I was looking for somebody to help me move because I was changing Apartments it was only about a 2hour move but I still needed help because of all of my furniture I found a really good deal which was a couple of guys that had a truck and said they could move your stuff anywhere for a flat feet depending on the length of the move I contacted them and they got

back fairly quickly with the rates I was happy with it and we made the agreement that they would come on the day of the move to help me when my moving day came I packed up all my stuff in boxes aside from my large furniture and waited for them to show up they came right on time and in an old beat up truck it had no logo on it or anything but I didn't care as long as they got the job done it was two guys named Dan and Tom they introduced themselves to me and

we got to work they weren't the friendliest but they seemed like decent guys and they had everything in the truck within 30 minutes I put some things into my car as well and we drove separately to my new apartment once we got there they got everything unloaded to my new place and as far as I was concerned it was a job well done but when I went to my car to get the last of my stuff I came inside to see Tom looking through one of my boxes as soon as I saw him he stopped

as if he didn't want me to see I asked him what he was doing and he told me in a nervous voice that the Box looked like it was to weak and it was going to collapse at that point these guys were starting to sketch me out so I decided to let them know that they could leave now I had paid them earlier through an app and I told them that the job was done and they could go they said bye to me shook my hand and left then I started the long job of unpacking

I got a lot done but still had some boxes to go through when it got to be about 11:00 at night I got very sleepy I decided to go to bed and I slept like a baby after after the long day I woke up a few hours later in the middle of the night to hear some noises inside my apartment it was Pitch Black and my eyes needed to adjust but I thought I saw one of the boxes outside my room moving at first I thought it might have been a mouse and I was thinking

about going back to sleep but then I thought I heard a man's voice speaking quietly I didn't know what to do if I should pretend to be sleeping or if I should come in front whoever was out there I wanted to call the police but I didn't want the man outside my room to hear me then everything went quiet I waited for a couple of minutes and then I sat up in my bed and looked out my doorway but what I saw when I did was the face of Dan who was one of the movers

peek around the corner and look directly at me then his face disappeared I didn't know what to do so I screamed that I was calling the police and that I had a gun I really didn't have one but I just wanted to scare them off it ended up working and I heard loud footsteps and the men leaving I called the police and I also went to Craigslist to get screenshots of their ad however it had already been taken down I gave the police all of their information that I could remember who knows if Dan and

Tom were their actual names or not it turned turns out when they were in my house one of them unlocked a window and opened it slightly enough that it wasn't noticeable but that they could sneak in through I'm going to be careful when using Craigslist from now on so nothing like this ever happens again last year I broke my leg and was unable to do a lot of things that I typically do I live alone in a smaller house and my friends and family were really nice in helping me out when I first got the

crutches soon after though I realized that I would have to do yard work and I didn't want to ask family or friends to do it everybody in my neighborhood takes great pride in their yards The Lawns are all very green and trimmed often there's generally nice flowers in most as well I have a typical Garden just some basic Flowers by the house and then most of my front yard is just grass that I cut weekly I decided to go on Craigslist to find somebody to keep up my yard for a few weeks until I would

be able to again there was only 3 weeks until I would be able to do yard work and I didn't want to hire a company because I knew that would be really expensive I found an ad on Craigslist that said M just graduated from high school looking to earn money doing odd jobs during summer he even listed yard work in the ad and I figured this would be a good person to go with I contacted the kid whose name was Michael he responded saying that he was excited to have a job for a few weeks

and I told him he would come over once a week the job would be cutting the grass and watering the flowers also cutting down weeds if there were any and picking up sticks in the yard probably would only take an hour or two each week the next week Michael arrived at my house and I went outside to greet him right away though things seemed Strange Michael did not appear to be in high school at all he had a full beard for starters and I know some high schoolers can grow full beards but he just didn't

look 18 or 19 more like 29 or 30 right away I said to Michael that I thought he said he had just graduated high school he looked confused for a moment and then said that he looks a little older than he actually is is he admitted that he hadn't just graduated but claimed he forgot to change his ad for a few years more like 10 years I thought still he looked capable of doing the work and he was already here so I gave him the information that he needed and he started working I went inside

and went over some work stuff I was working part-time at home and part-time in the office at the time occasionally I would glance out the window to see what Michael was doing the first day went pretty well he did all of the maintenance work in about an hour and then I paid him and he left the next week was a bit different there was the same amount of work to be done if not less but he was there for almost 3 hours I wasn't quite sure why he took so long because I wasn't paying him

by the hour but finally he finished I paid him and he left the next week which was the last one he was there for a lengthy amount of time again and this time I noticed him poking around some of the windows and areas of my house from the outside I really didn't know what he was doing cleaning the windows was not part of the job that's seemingly what he was doing though I was careful not to let him notice me when I watched him work but seeing this was a little confusing at last he was

done and I paid him for the final time and he left I was glad to be done working with Michael he was a little strange and definitely misrepresented himself but that same night at about midnight I was still awake and on my phone in my bedroom I'm a bit of a night owl and I frequently stay up past midnight I heard the sound of a window opening at the opposite end of my house immediately I knew what was happening I just knew it had to be Michael looking back back I could have been wrong but

I had more than a hunch I didn't know what he wanted or what he was trying to do but when I suddenly heard footsteps coming into the house I knew I had to do something I stepped out into my hallway just a couple of steps then I shouted as loud as I could that I knew it was Michael and I had a gun I didn't have a gun but I wanted to scare him off it actually worked and I heard footsteps moving back until I heard noises around the window again I left my room and

walked into the living room to see an open window I went to to the front of my house and saw what sure enough appeared to be Michael running out of the front yard and onto the street I made sure that all my windows and doors were closed then I went back to bed the next day I went to the police with all of my information it was not difficult at all for them to find Michael because his ad was still on Craigslist I'm glad I was awake that night when he tried breaking in or I'm

not sure what would have happened just a couple of weeks ago I was looking to earn some quick cash I'm a college student and was short on money at the time because I would be going back home when the semester ended I felt as though I couldn't get a traditional job at a store or something like that because I would only end up quitting after like a month I also wanted more flexible hours I went on Craigslist and found a section where you could do jobs for people like help them move or do yard work

things like that I on ad that had very recently been placed for someone asking for someone to clean their gutters they said they were paying $100 for someone to clean their gutters the ad said the job would only take a couple of hours and ladders would be provided I thought this seemed like some quick and easy money I was in pretty good shape and had cleaned gutters in the past so I reached out and heard back a short time later I had gotten the job and was told I could work at the next day the

man who had the ad told me his name was Rick and he would pay me $50 $ when I got there and another $50 when I was done he gave me the address and the next day I went out to the location I wasn't really familiar with the area at all as I only went to that town for college and never really explored it much it was an older neighborhood that seemed sort of out in the country the house itself looked very old and not in the best of shape I saw the man was already

outside when I got there and I got out and met him he was Rick and he told me he lived there alone with his cat he was an older guy and seemed really nice he then basically told me what to do and showed me a ladder that was already out he paid me the $50 and I took the ladder and began working the house had two stories above ground and the gutters were very dirty it looked like they hadn't been cleaned in many years it was a sort of satisfying job to see them get clean

when I was in the back of the house working at the top of the ladder I noticed something from inside the house though there was a window on the second floor with a really creepy looking man just staring at me and smiling it looked like he was insane or something and I remembered how Rick said he lived alone this creeped me out a little bit but I kept on working the man stayed there for at least another minute and I could feel him staring at me until finally he disappeared I moved onto the side of

the house and suddenly saw a police car pull out front I didn't really think too much of it until I saw an officer get out and walk over to me when I saw him approaching I got off the ladder and met met him he asked me what I was doing I told him how I was cleaning the gutters for the man who lived here the officer told me that nobody had lived in this house for well over a year and a neighbor called the police on me when they saw me on a ladder in the

back of the house I then explained to the officer the Craigslist had and showed it to him as well as the text between me and Rick after seeing this the officer believed me and I told him about the man inside the house he knocked on the door several times but got no answer Rick was also nowhere to be found and a car that had previously been in the driveway was gone I tried to call Rick but the number he had had blocked me the police officer told me I was in no trouble and should just

go home and they would take care of the rest I went home and never heard anything more about it to this day I wonder what exactly was going on there a few years ago I was a girl in my freshman year of high school I wanted to make some extra money aside from my job of babysitting so I looked on Craigslist for jobs I found a job for cleaning houses and it seemed like the best one for me because it was something that I could do and it didn't require me to be 16 because I

was just 14 years old at the time I responded to the ad and a man who said his name was Joe got back back to me he asked me a little bit about myself and after answering his questions he said I could have the job I was pretty excited to be earning the extra money and a couple of days later I started the man gave me an address and my mother dropped me off there it was a pretty normal looking house in a normal neighborhood but when I got to the front door it had a

sign on it that said go around back I went to the back back to see a man who I assumed was Joe he came up and introduced himself to me then he told me that this was not the house I would be cleaning and we walked about three blocks until we arrived at another house this seemed kind of weird to me but I just Shrugged it off he invited me inside and then started giving me instructions on what to clean after he was done explaining things to me he said he would be in his office

and went downstairs St I cleaned for a little while and everything was going well I wanted to open a window to get some fresh air but when I tried the window was locked then I tried another one and that was locked as well I cleaned a little bit more but I still wanted some fresh air so I decided to step outside for a minute but when I tried the front door it seemed to be locked from the outside Joe's office was downstairs so so I knocked on the door to the basement but there was no

answer I tried the door and it was locked I started to feel uncomfortable and thinking of all the possibilities that could be happening of why Joe kept the doors and windows locked I tried my best not to think about it but I couldn't get the bad thoughts out of my head I didn't even care about the job anymore I just wanted to leave at this point I walked all around the house trying to find an exit the back door was also locked I kept looking I looked at one of the larger windows but then I

saw something when I got closer I could see that there was a tiny camera pointed at me then I heard the basement door open Joe started calling my name he asked me what I was doing I couldn't find a place to hide quickly so I decided to play dumb I walked back over to Joe and said said that I was just cleaning he said in a nervous voice that it didn't seem like I was he began to walk a little closer to me and then he said I needed to come with him as soon as

he said that I ran past him as fast as I could and into his basement I shut the door and locked it then I ran downstairs what I saw down there was two computer monitors on a desk with camera angles displaying every room in the house in including the bathroom then I heard a key turning the lock to the basement door I ran to a bathroom downstairs and locked that door and called the police I heard Joe coming down the stairs it didn't take long before he got to the bathroom he started pounding on the

door luckily for me he did not seem to have a key to this room but I knew he would probably be capable of busting down the door there was a window leading to outside at the top of the bathroom so I stood on top of the toilet and tried to open it this one was not locked I climbed out of it as I heard Joe continuing to pound on the bathroom door I got out and ran as fast as I could to a neighbor's house and banged on their door an old lady answered and let

me in when she saw how I was in a panic we waited there for the police to show up but unfortunately when they did Joe was gone I showed the Craigslist ad to the police and the text messages with Joe they were able to track him down and catch him about a week later I feel very lucky that I was able to escape his house this story takes place back in the summer of 2021 during that time I had just recently gotten a new car before that I had been driving an old 2004 Chevy Trailblazer

which if you don't know is an SUV I didn't think that it would be worth that much but I still decided to sell it on Craigslist after all that's where I had bought it years earlier and I had taken good care of it for the most part I took some pictures out in my driveway and then listed the car it ran pretty well and was very reliable so I knew that somebody would be interested I listed it for $2,000 and waited I wasn't in that much of a rush to sell it and it took about

2 days before I got the first response to the ad the response was someone asking if the car was still for sale I said yes and they texted back asking if they could take a look at it we then arranged a meeting after the person got off work the following day I asked for their name and he said his name was Barry he said that he got off of work at 8:00 p.m. I suggested that we meet in the parking lot of a nearby Walmart because it was a really big lot it would also be

in a public area because I didn't want a random person showing up at my house Barry agreed and the very next day I drove out to the Walmart which was like 5 minutes away from my house I got there early and looked around the parking lot I told him that I was in the very back corner and you really couldn't miss me the parking lot was always empty in the back half or so it was often used for truckers or sometimes RVs to park overnight the first red flag happened before Barry even showed up I

should have drove drove away right then and there he texted me saying that he was there and asking what my car looked like I was thinking seriously you're the one interested in buying the car and you don't even remember what it looks like I gave him a description gray SUV in the back corner he then replied saying that he saw me and was driving over I looked around and watched a much newer looking car approach me it looked to be a red Ford Focus that was only a few years old he parked right next to

me and I watched a man get out he was younger looking maybe 30 and had dark brown hair and black glasses I got out of my car and walked over to him we met out front of my car and shook hands I told him some basic information on the car as he looked at it less than a minute in he asked me if we could go for a test drive I said yes and Barry got into the driver's seat of my car and I got into the passenger seat I noticed that he was on his

phone a lot in the short time since he had gotten out of his car something just seemed a little bit strange about about this guy when he started driving I asked him if he knew this area and he could drive on some roads close by he said that he knew it well and we left the Walmart and headed to a quieter area Barry went down a road that I had only been on a couple of times it was a somewhat quiet road with a speed limit of 35 there were some patches of woods here and

there and some buildings that seemed to be industrial during the drive things were pretty quiet I talked about the car for the first couple of minutes but Barry didn't really respond or say anything anything back to me I remember him looking at his phone once while driving and I told him that he shouldn't do that he was like oh sorry and then he put it away I asked him how he thought the car was driving and if he liked it he just said yes and it was good after maybe 5 minutes of driving I was

starting to think that we should head back that's when Barry suddenly began slowing down he then pulled off the road suddenly and into this really crappy looking parking lot there were kind of woods on both sides leading into it and the parking lot had tons of potholes and looked to be for a warehouse when he got into the parking lot he drove in a little ways and then stopped the car I noticed that there was one other car in this parking lot I thought at first maybe Barry just wanted to turn around in there but

when he stopped the car I was really confused Barry then shut off the engine and took the key out of the ignition then he opened up his driver's door and started to get out I was really confused and just watching him wondering what was going on as he was getting out he then suddenly yelled at me to get out of the car I looked to my right and saw three men getting out of the other vehicle that was also in the parking lot and the three men were walking towards us they were maybe like 50

ft away these men started walking at a fast pace and Barry stepped out in front of my car and then waved at me to get out I heard him yell at me to get out of the car again I knew that I was in trouble at that point and I didn't know what these guys wanted but I realized something quickly my car car had two keys for it and I had brought the spare just in case I would have sold it that night it was in my pocket after Barry saw that I was not getting

out of the car he started walking over to my passenger's door I figured that he was going to try to force me out meanwhile the other three men were now only about 20 ft away I reached in my pocket and felt on the key for the lock button for the doors I pushed it and when Barry got closer I moved over into the driver's seat of the car he reached the door and tried opening it but it was locked in in that moment I quickly put my spare key into the ignition and started the engine

Barry had the other key still and would be able to unlock it if he got it when the car started I saw him reaching into his pocket and saw the other men start running as soon as the car was started up though I put it into drive and slammed my foot on the gas the car jerked away from everyone and they gave Chase on foot for a short time before I sped away I then made a quick U-turn as the men were now running for their vehicle I drove out of that pot hole filled parking

lot as fast as I could and then back onto the road I took the very first turn that I saw from that road and the men were not able to reach me in their car on time I didn't see them behind me and was able to get away I went straight back to my house and when I made it back home called the police and reported the whole thing I told them about the car at Walmart that Barry had left and gave as much information as I could I later found out that the car Barry

used to get to Walmart was found still there and came back as stolen I'm not sure if Barry and those other guys were ever found I know that I'm just really glad that I had the spare key with me and was able to get away from them last year I was trying to sell my 2007 Mercury Mariner it was in pretty good shape but had a lot of miles and it's kind of old but overall it ran very good and is a good car car I decided to list it on Craigslist because I've had experience

buying cars on there before when I had used Craigslist in the past it had gone pretty well so I took several pictures of the car and then listed it the next day I didn't get any interest at all but on the second day I got a response to the ad the text message came from a man saying that his name was Al and that he wanted to buy the car he seemed pretty confident about it right away I was asking a pretty reasonable price so I gave him my address to come and look at it

now I lived in an apartment building I didn't think it was a big deal to give out the address because there were several buildings in the complex my car was already parked out in the parking lot and the guy would have no way of knowing which apartment was mine so I asked Al when he was free and he said he could come by the next day after work at 9:00 p.m. I said okay and then I cleaned out the car and got it ready for selling the following night I left my apartment building and went

to my car in the parking lot Al showed up shortly after and parked nearby he got out and I met him by my Mariner I was a big guy had lots of tattoos was probably about 250 lb and 6 ft tall after meeting I showed Al the car and he looked around at it after several minutes he asked to take it for a test drive I went with him and Al drove the car around the block and down some nearby streets I remember that he said he liked it and it seemed fine at that point

I was really thinking that I was going to sell the car that night after the test drive we returned to my apartment complex and he parked the car in the space that it had been before but then after we got out of the car Al just said that he would think about it I was disappointed because it seemed like he was going to buy it before but I just said okay and then said bye to him but that's when Al asked me if he could use my back bathroom quick this seemed sketchy why did he

think it would be okay with me for him to use my bathroom I said no thanks and started walking away to me I was afraid that it might be some sort of a setup I didn't want this guy coming into my apartment he was still kind of standing around by my car though my apartment building had a side door and a front door the side door was not very far away so I decided to walk to the front I left Al standing there and headed inside I I was kind of afraid that he was going

to follow me but when I left and got to the front doors I looked back and didn't see him at all this made me feel better and I entered the building when I got inside I turned to the right and then entered the elevator I took it up to the third floor which is the level that my apartment was on when I arrived I stepped off and started walking to the left but when I did I saw the door at the end of the hallway open that led to a stairwell I saw Al entering the

hallway what was he doing here at first I started going towards my door but then saw Al going towards me I quickly stopped and then turned and started walking in the opposite direction at that point I started to hear Al begin to run in my direction so I started sprinting to the end of the hallway when I made it there I went into the stairs on the other side and ran down as I was going down the stairs I heard Al enter the stairwell and continued to chase me then I went into the underground parking

garage beneath the building when I got down there I ran across it to the other end of the building I had extended my lead on Al a little bit I heard him get to the parking garage and keep chasing me though then I got to the stairs on the other side and ran up them to the ground level then left through the side door after I was out of the building I ran to my car and got inside then I just left and drove away I called the police while driving off and told them about

the man I drove around the streets nearby for a few minutes and then returned when I did Al's car was still there and he was not inside of it the police got there just a couple of minutes later I didn't go back inside the building until they did and when they did they actually found Al attempting to break into another apartment so it turns out he was never interested in buying my car I guess he was just going to try to rob me or something a while back I got a new car and decided to

sell my old one on Craigslist I had used Craigslist many times before to buy things as well as sell and I had had good experiences with it it was my old jeep that I was selling and I figured it wouldn't be too hard to sell because it ran well and didn't really have any problems I put up the listing at a price that was maybe a little too high though because I didn't really get any interest in it other than a few people that were trying to lowball me finally I got some interest from someone

rearranged the time for them to come and look at it I decided to make the meeting place a local grocery store the grocery store was by my house and had a really large parking lot that was usually always open at the back when the time came we both met there and I saw a man get out of an old looking car and come over to me he shook my hand and said his name was George he seemed to be be a pretty average looking guy I told him a few things about the car and he

started to look at it he didn't really seem all that interested in it though he then asked me to take it for a test drive I told him sure but I would go along with him I got in the passenger side and he got in the driver's seat he pulled out of the grocery store parking lot and drove down the road it was a mainly residential area with some Wild Land as well so the roads weren't too busy he drove up north a little while and then suddenly turned left on a road that appeared to

be dirt I didn't know why exactly he was turning here and at this point it seemed a little strange so I asked the man if he knew where he was going he didn't reply to me though I got a little bit concerned but the man then pulled the car over to the side of the dirt road that we were on it was surrounded by a field to the left and a Woods to the right the man then got out and slowly walked into the woods I I called after him but it only seemed to make

him go faster I was pretty alarmed with what I was seeing why was the man going into the woods I was a little concerned so I shut the doors and locked it I waited there for a while and called his number on his phone but the call was immediately declined I was pretty creeped out so I decided to call the police and tell them the situation I then drove back to the grocery store parking lot which was only a couple of minutes away when I got there the man's car was gone I was really surprised

by what happened and to this day I really don't know how to explain it a few months ago I was bored at work one day when I don't have as much to do I just go on my phone or browse the internet on my computer sometimes I go on Craigslist and look at cars or other things for sale just for fun so one day I had about an hour until I got off of work and had nothing more to do I went on Craigslist and then noticed the misconnection section I clicked on it just for

fun because I thought it might be amusing to read this is a section on Craigslist where people will post about if they saw somebody and maybe had a conversation with them in public or something if they didn't get the person's name or any information they'll reach out and ask them to contact them that's why called misconnections and it seemed kind of weird to me I clicked on a few and read them unlike the fourth or maybe the fifth one that I saw it seemed like the person was writing about me the ad said blonde female

in and then mentioned the name of the city that I live and work in when I clicked on the ad it said saw you walking on your street last Thursday night saw you again at Target the next day wearing a Brave's hat let me know if I can come over sometime this really shocked me because not only had I gone for a walk in my neighborhood Thursday night but I had been at the Target as well and I was wearing a Braves hat at Target it made me a little bit suspicious the fact that the

person had seen me in two different places were they stalking me that's what was going through my head immediately but maybe it was just somebody who lived in my neighborhood and it was a coincidence they were definitely describing me I knew that for a fact but I decided not to answer the ad I finished work for the day and then went home I lived by myself in a smaller house in a fairly busy street one of my best friends Avery came over after work we would hang out quite a bit after she came over I

told her about the Craigslist post I decided to show it to her so I got my laptop and logged on when I got to the misconnections part of Craigslist I saw that there was now a new posting the title said blonde woman in and then mention my city Again part two this post was very recent in fact it had been made less than an hour earlier it said I saw you leaving work today hope you see one of these ads and get back to me Avery and I looked at each other in shock this was

very crazy and this post indicated that whoever it was was possibly stalking me we both ran to all of the windows and looked out into the street in case the guy was out there somewhere but we didn't see anything strange I had never noticed him watching me my work parking lot is pretty large though and has lots of other cars wasn't it it would be easy for somebody to do so without being caught for the next couple of days I was sort of worried I checked Craigs List multiple times but there were no new posts

I also paid close attention to my surroundings but never noticed anything out of the ordinary it would be difficult unless it was obvious but I was never followed or anything like that but then one day when I got home from work I was moving from my kitchen to the living room when I got into the living room I saw a car parked sort of in front of my house I got close to the window and looked out to see if I recognized it I did not but no more than 10 seconds later I saw the

car drive away I didn't get a good look at the driver though then the very next day when I was on my way home from work about halfway back a car started driving behind me this was the same car that I had seen in front of my house I got a bad feeling and the car turned at the next three turns in a row that I made I feared that it would follow me all the way back to my house but then when when I got to the turn right before my street the car went

the other direction I was able to make it home without seeing the car again but I decided then that I would respond to one of the ads I couldn't take it anymore when I was home I got onto my laptop and contacted the person I asked them why they were seemingly stalking me and asked them to please leave me alone after I sent the message I hoped that the person would either reply and have an explanation or actually just leave me alone I waited and went on with the day several hours later at 9:00 p.m.

or so I checked again there was no response from the person I closed my laptop and went into the living room but that's when I noticed the car out front again it was parked in the same spot that it had been before I went over to the window and looked closer I saw that nobody appeared to be in the driver's seat though that's when I noticed something out of the corner of my eye to the right I looked over and saw a man in my front yard at the far side of it by the driveway

he was walking up and towards my front door I was terrified I didn't even waste any time and I ran away from the window got my cell phone and called the police as I was waiting for the operator to answer the phone I heard the man try to enter my front door this was followed by a knock I then ran into my bedroom and closed the door I told the 911 operator what was going on and then just had to wait I did my best not to listen outside of my room because I didn't even

want to know what was going on about 15 minutes later the police arrived the unbelievable part is that when they got there the man was still there he was in my backyard and they found him trying to get into a back window I was glad that I called when I did I showed the police everything and told them about the things that had happened it seemed like the man had been stalking me for a while I guessed that when I asked him to leave me alone he felt that he had to take matters into his

own hands since this happened I moved and now have an apartment across town I also haven't been on Craigslist at all back when I was moving several years ago I got rid of a lot of old furniture there were many things that I didn't need or want anymore from the house that I'd been living in that house was just a rental and I had finally bought a home my rental house had one story and a basement and there were two bedrooms and two bathrooms when I was living in the rental a lot of the furniture

that I got was just cheap stuff I would either get it for free or used or just cheap at any old store some stuff I did keep but a lot of it I just wanted to get rid of I was actually able to sell a few things with the things left over that I didn't sell I decided to just list on Craigslist for free I needed it gone and I needed it gone fast most of the things were not all that nice there was a dresser a couple of old lamps a table and some chairs

after I made the listing two or 3 days went by with really nothing then finally somebody contacted me saying that they would like the furniture I was really happy that somebody was going to come and take it off my hands I gave them my address and said they could come by to pick it up I told the person they might need a truck or a larger vehicle for all of it and the person responded saying that they did we agreed for them to come the next day in the afternoon I hadn't moved out of my

house yet but I had gotten rid of most of the things I didn't want anymore I already had the furniture up against the wall in the living room near the front door so the following day at around 3:00 p.m. I got a text from the person saying they were there it was then that I realized I didn't even know this person's name or what they looked like I went to the window and looked out what I saw was this younger skinny man with long blonde hair getting out of a tiny old car it was like

a twodo sedan from the 1990s and I had a bad feeling how on Earth was this guy going to fit any of the stuff in his car I was afraid that he was going to try to make me drive it to his place or something the man walked up to the front step and then knocked on the door I answered and introduced myself he said his name was Dave he seemed a little bit strange right from the start I didn't know exactly what it was though I invited him inside and showed him the furniture in

the living room I told him that he could just take it now and be on his way Dave started to walk over to the furniture but then he walked right past it and went farther into my house he sort of said something quietly it sounded like he said one second but he didn't really say anything more I wasn't sure as to what he was doing or where he was going and I was really confused he quickly went out of sight and went somewhere in the back of the house I stayed standing there a few moments

probably because it was just so confusing he had gone completely out of my sight and and I heard him move to the back side of the house then I decided to go and walk after him I heard a door open and I made my way around to the kitchen in the back of the house I first saw that the basement door was open I called down asking if Dave was down there then I decided to go down there when he didn't respond I walked down the stairs and turned on a few lights there was some

junk down there and some boxes as well overall there were quite a few places that he could be hiding plus the lighting down there was not very good I started to look around and would periodically ask Dave if he was there and what he was doing I got no answers though and I didn't see him at all I was getting extremely creeped out and was afraid that I could possibly be in danger so after being down there for about a minute or two I decided to go back upstairs I didn't know for sure if Dave

was down there or not he could have gone someplace else inside the house I guess I walked back up the stairs and went into the kitchen when I got back up though I heard somebody walking down in the basement I knew he was down there I quickly ran to my bedroom and locked myself in it then I called the police I stayed on the line with them all the way until they got there which was pretty quick I didn't bother to look out of Windows or anything to see if Dave had left but I also

did not hear him leaving the back door was near the stairs in the kitchen so I was hoping that he would leave that way but when the cops got there they found him still inside the Bas basement and he was arrested I was told that he was on drugs and that might have explained his strange Behavior I really don't know what his plans were I'm just glad that he didn't try to hurt me or anything in Fall of 2018 I went to Southern California to help my sister move from one apartment to another after moving

all of her things I decided to stay a few days to sightsee and experience the nice weather my sister's new apartment was bigger than her previous one so she started looking for furniture on Craigslist I joined her in the search and I was able to find a nice little table that would go perfectly in her new place it seemed like a pretty good deal I showed my sister and she liked it a lot I contacted the seller and we agreed to meet the next day to buy the table the seller was a man named Brian

he said he lived with his wife and he seemed like a nice guy through our texts my sister had to work the next day so she gave me the cash and I went to pick it up for her I drove to Brian's house and arrived at 6:00 p.m. which was our meeting time he lived in a pretty nice little neighborhood the houses had a lot of character and were fairly close to each other Brian's house was on the end he had tall bushes all around his yard like a fence I thought it looked pretty cool

and I texted him that I was there he said he had the table in the garage and I could just walk right up and meet him in there I got out of my car and walked up to his driveway the driveway was very unique as it went down like a hill and curved around the corner to his garage which was connected to the back of his house and almost behind it it was a two-car garage and I saw that it was open I walked into the garage but I didn't see Brian it was a dimly

lit garage but it looked pretty typical with some paint containers spare tires and things like that along the sides there were no cars in the garage however I saw that the table was next to a door leading to his house I started to walk up to the door to knock on it for Brian as I approached the house door I heard the garage door shut behind me as soon as the door shut all of the lights went out the garage turned pitch black and I couldn't see a thing now I had a bad feeling about

this I felt my way to the door and turned the knob but it was locked I texted Brian asking what was going on but the number had blocked me I knew I was in danger and I needed to get out of there I used the flashlight on my phone to look around the garage and felt my way to the garage door I then tried to see if I could find a handle on it anywhere but I couldn't find one I started to bang on the door and kick at it I was hoping I could either

break it down down or a neighbor would hear the noise and come the door to the house then swung open I looked over to see a man enter the garage the house was dimly lit inside so it didn't light up the garage at all and I couldn't really make out much of the man he shut the door behind him and I could hear him walk towards me slowly I shined my flashlight but he was too far away for me to make him out still I heard his footsteps walk along the edge of the garage I

looked around frantically and saw another door behind some wood pieces I pushed them aside and even threw one in his Direction I don't think it hit him because I heard them hit the floor but I tried the handle of the door and to my surprise it opened I ran out as fast as I could and sprinted down the driveway to my car I got in and immediately called the police when they arrived I led them to the house but Brian or whatever his name was was gone I later learned that the house belonged to a

man who was out of town and someone had broke into it to Stage the Craigslist ad I don't know what could have happened to me in the garage but I'm just happy I was able to get away a couple of years ago I was looking to buy a used car on Craigslist I didn't have a whole lot of money so I knew the options that I was looking at were most likely a beater I didn't really care though as long as the car ran well and was reliable I would be happy with it I was

a 22-year-old guy and in college at the time and my previous car which was also a beater had finally broken down after browsing for several days and borrowing one of my parents' cars in the meantime I found an ad for something on Craigslist that seemed pretty good it was a 2004 Chevy Impala selling for a pretty cheap price and according to the listing it ran great it looked slightly dirty in the picture but I thought it was worth looking at so I contacted the seller and asked them if I could take a look the seller

said his name was Dave and replied that sure I could come by later at about 6 he then asked if that worked for me I said it did and then he sent me the address when the time came I put the address into my phone and drove to the location it was roughly 30 minutes away from my house the area looked sort of rough and the address was at the end of a street I saw a house with a driveway that was completely empty and I texted Dave that I was there but I didn't see

the car he replied to me that the car was in the back and told me to come around this seemed a little odd but I told myself to man up and go look at it I got out of the car and walked into the front yard of the house the grass was rather long and overgrown and it had several trees with branches that had fallen over all over the place in the yard when I got around the house to the back back I saw a man with grayish hair and a t-shirt who waved at me

I could see the car was there in the backyard up against an old shed and after looking at it in person it looked like it hadn't been driven in years the man told me I was in luck because he was thinking of dropping the price he then waved me over to the car he told me to get in and see how it felt for me to sit inside of it so I walked over to the car and noticed that there were blankets covering the back windows they were DED over them from the inside but we

sticking out the tops of the windows a little bit I had a bad feeling and as I got towards the driver's door I was sure I could send someone moving in the back seat of the car at that point I backed away I could see some surprise in Dave's eyes as he looked at me I quickly made up an excuse for backing away and said Dave I needed to ask him how many miles were on the car again before I forgot he looked up and paused for a second before saying it had just over 100,000

miles as he said this I slowly walked farther away from both Dave and the car once I reached a distance I was confident in I ran away all the way back to my car I drove home after that I still believe to this day that was some sort of setup I don't know for sure but I did end up getting a car just not from Craigslist something really strange happened a couple of months ago it all started one seemingly average night I live with my wife in a house that's in a pretty typical neighborhood normally

things are quiet around here as well so we went to bed and were sleeping when suddenly I was awoken in the middle of the night I heard a knocking on the front door to our house I looked at the clock and it was nearly 2:00 in the morning obviously I was very confused my wife woke up to the noises as well after I heard the knocking again I got out of bed and I told my wife that I was going to go and see what it was after walking into the entry of the house I

looked out of a window and saw this random guy standing there I really had no idea who he was the man seemed pretty average looking for the most part now looking back this may not have been the best idea but I decided to answer the door I opened it up and I saw the guy standing there right in front of me I asked him who he was and what on Earth he was doing at my house at 2:00 in the morning the man then responded by saying he was there from Craigslist I was very confused

because I don't even use Craigslist he claimed that he was there to buy a TV well we did not have a TV for sale either I told him that he must be at the wrong address the guy asked me if my name was Randy and my name is Randy so that kind of creeped me out a little bit he took out his phone and showed me some text messages the person he was texting with gave an address which was my correct address another text said come at about 2: a.m. this was very strange I told

the guy that I didn't know who he was texting with but it definitely was not me I said I had no TV for sale and somebody must be pretending to be me the man then asked if he could come inside anyways I said no and I told the guy that he needed to figure out who was behind that and I made it clear to him that I was not selling anything then I closed the door on him and locked it I watched out the window and made sure that the guy left and thankfully he did

I went back to our bedroom and I told my wife about the strange encounter she also had no idea what that could be about either since then nothing else like that has happened it's really weird though and I've not figured out who was behind it I mean why would anybody arrange to meet at 2:00 in the morning to buy something that seems really odd I think maybe the guy made those texts himself possibly he was going to try to break in or see if I was gullible enough to let him in the house I really

don't know I'm just hoping that nothing like that happens [Music] again a couple years ago I was living in a small place in New York I had gotten some cabinets off of Craigslist that I liked a lot I wasn't able to install them by myself however so I went back on Craigslist to find somebody that could I found a man named Jim who had really low rates so wanting to save money I contacted him and told him about my cabinets he responded quickly saying he could do it we arranged for him to come over and

install the cabinets the next day it was a Saturday when he came and it was about 10:00 in the morning right off the at he gave me the creeps we spoke briefly about the job and he just seemed a little bit off I felt a little concerned letting this man into my house that I lived alone in but I thought chances are it will be fine and after a couple more minutes of awkward silence he got to work it was a pretty easy job for someone with experience and he seemed to have no problem with

it I went into another room to go on my computer but he kept asking me to come back and watch I thought that was kind of strange he would always pause and look over at me for a second and then go back to work I told myself I was just being paranoid and I tried to ignore my uneasy feelings at one point I went back into the other room on my computer and I heard him stop working and then I saw his head come from around the corner just to look at me I was getting

really tired of it finally when he was done I paid him the money and told him to have a good day he insisted on hugging me before walking out the door I was so glad he was finally gone and told some friends about the experience I was able to laugh it off as just another creepy guy the rest of the day was good and after watching a movie on TV I started to drift off to sleep I was very relaxed until I thought I heard the noise of my back door open slowly I knew I

wasn't hearing things but I muted the TV to listen closer it was definitely my back door and when it stopped I scrambled out of bed and walked to my bedroom doorway and looked out I saw the man from earlier walking around the corner our eyes locked for a split second and I quickly slammed my door shut and locked it I heard him walk right up to the door and try the knob I screamed at him that I was calling the police and ran to my nightstand to grab my phone I dialed 911 and started telling

them what was going on they told me to stay on the line until the police arrived the man started banging on the door trying to break it he banged for about a minute and then it went quiet I heard him walk away but not even 30 seconds later I heard him again he came right back to the door and started jiggling the handle a lot and then he started banging again it started to look like the door was about to break off the hinges I thought about jumping out the window or hiding in my closet

just when I didn't think I could take anymore I heard sirens from outside a couple seconds later I heard someone Shout police and then the man started yelling after about a minute I came out of the room to see the man arrested and several police in my house it was a scary incident and I haven't used Craigslist since as my freshman year in high school was arriving I was an ignorant 14-year-old dreaming of having my own TV in my bedroom I remember asking my parents many times but they would always say the same things they

didn't have enough money and it wasn't good for me to play video games all the time anyways their solution if I wanted a TV so badly I could buy one myself the only problem was that I couldn't get a job because I was only 14 and I had no money I remember searching around for jobs but I just couldn't find anything cuz you had to be 16 then I got another idea I realized that on Craigslist lots of people gave away stuff for free I started secretly going on every single night and began scouring the

free listings for a TV figured if there was an actual working TV that was good it would probably go pretty fast a few weeks went by with nothing there were a few possibilities but they either seemed really sketchy or too far away where the TV was broken finally at last I found one that seemed perfect the TV was not super big or new but definitely good enough for me it made me excited when I found it and I contacted the owner immediately I waited for the rest of the night for them to respond but they

didn't I was worried somebody else had picked it up but the next morning I saw that they got back to me and told me that I could come pick it up that night if I wanted this made me really excited and I told them that I would we lived in a really populated area which meant that I could ride my bike almost all over the place the address was only about a mile and a half away so that night without telling my parents I hooked up a wagon to the back of my bike so that

I could carry the TV back then I set out to go pick it up my plan was to put some bungee cords around the TV and wagon for it to be secure and once I was home I would show my parents I figured that if I already had the TV home my parents would let me keep it I knew them pretty good and my older sister had actually done a similar thing with a pet hamster she didn't sneak out into the night to get it but she had a friend who was giving away a hamster

and she came over and then they asked her and my parents said yes anyways the sun was set and it took me about 15 minutes to get to the address that I had written down as the house when I got there it looked like just another house in the dense neighborhood I parked my bike at the end of the driveway and then walked up to the front step when I was there I knocked at the front door but saw that it was already open still I didn't want to be rude and I waited outside I

Heard a Voice coming from seemingly the back of the house it was a man's voice and he said something like are you here for the TV I yelled back yes the guy said that it was his son's and he was in the basement he then told me to go ahead I found it a little strange and I never saw the person and they never bothered to come and answer the door or greet me at all I helped myself to walking inside and saw that there was a basement door that was open with stairs going down

the basement was very dark and looked really creepy to me as a 14-year-old kid I'm not going to lie I had a feeling of what did I get myself into still I wanted a TV and I wanted one bad so I pressed on I started walking down the stairs into what appeared to be an unfinished basement it was just so dark down there like none of the lights were on wasn't really sure what to do the stairs creaked as I walked on them and I neared the base when I got probably 2third of the way

down the stairs I heard a sudden noise in the basement it was like somebody running but I couldn't really see I stopped where I was and looked around then finally I saw them some guy was sprinting towards me from the other side of the basement he looked insane I turned around and ran as fast as I could back up the stairs when I had almost made it all the way back up I heard the man running up the stairs behind me I got back up to the main level of the house and then bolted out

the front door I ran all the way back to my bike and got out of there as quickly as possible I didn't see anybody leaving the house but I also didn't stick around very long to find out I rode my bike with the wagon attached to it as fast as I could back home the wagon slowed me down but luckily I wasn't chased or anything I got back home and told my parents everything I thought that I was going to be in trouble but they were surprisingly nice about it I think they were just really

glad I was okay they went on to find the listing and reported it and I think that they reported it to the police as well they told me not to worry about the situation anymore moving forward if I wanted to find something on Craigslist my parents told me to let them know and they could possibly go with me I did end up getting a TV not too long after that [Music] when I was in college like most people I didn't have a whole lot of money during the summertime I would work a job and at

College I did have an oncampus job as well but I didn't get that many hours or that much money for it I didn't have the time for a normal or even part-time job while I was at school I had quite a bit of homework and school was difficult for me so I would spend a lot of extra time studying but during my junior year I really wanted some more money I decided to go on Craigs List and look for some fast jobs that I could do I went on one day and looked under the general

labor section these would be good jobs for me because I was a pretty fit 21-year-old guy any kind of job like yard work or something is what I was hoping for soon I saw an ad that simply said yard cleanup this was just what I was hoping for and I clicked on it there there weren't many details at all though it just said need someone to clean up my yard we'll take a couple hours pay $100 the ad had only been posted an hour earlier and I responded soon the person got back to me and

I agreed to the job they asked me if I could come Friday night and I asked the time they said 9:00 p.m. this was kind of strange to me I would expect to be doing yard work during the daytime I should have questioned them and asked why so late but I didn't I was just afraid if I did they would get mad and find somebody else and I really wanted the money plus I was free at that time and it's not like I had class the next morning or anything I agreed to it and they

gave me the address on Friday night I put the address in my phone and drove to the location I had never been to that area before and it was almost 20 minutes away the location was a house with a pretty decent sized yard it was in a residential neighborhood but I couldn't tell a whole lot about the area because it was night time and really dark there were only a couple of dimly lit Street lamps around I let the person know that I was there texting them and then I got out of my car I

was about 5 minutes early and started walking up to the house it was a two-story house that looked pretty average to me there were some overgrown bushes in the yard as well as leaves and such I walked up to the front door and rang the doorbell all of the lights in the house appeared to be off which was kind of strange about a minute went by and nobody came to the door then I knocked maybe their doorbell was broken or something after knocking I still heard nothing I waited and then double checked on my phone

that I was at the correct address I was nobody responded to my text either I knocked one more time still no one came to the door but then I heard something out in the yard it sounded like footsteps and they were to my right coming from almost the side of the house I looked over but it was very dark and there was also a tree in the way of my view so I couldn't see anything I took a couple of steps back to look the footsteps were a ways away but clearly in the yard of

the property that I was at when I moved back the footsteps stopped I called out asking if somebody was there I thought maybe it was the homeowner but I didn't get a response I was starting to feel kind of creeped out by this situation then I heard the footsteps again I couldn't take it anymore and I started walking away I didn't look behind me and I walked all the way to my car I got inside and locked the doors I looked out to the yard and didn't see anyone then I checked my phone for the

last time to see if there was a response yet still nothing then I left I started driving back to my college apartment but when I was still on that quiet street I saw a car appear behind me I hadn't seen exactly where it came from but it looked like it might have actually come out of the driveway to the house that I was at the car followed me off that street and onto the next one when I got back on the highway to go back to campus the car did as well it stayed with me

when I took the exit too by then I was getting really suspicious I kept driving though when I got about a mile from campus the car finally stopped following me it took a left when I took a right I was able to make it back but after that decided not to go on Craigslist anymore I don't know if the car that followed me had anything to do with it or not I feel like it did but I don't have any proof what I do know is that the experience was very strange the person never contacted

me at all after that and I still don't know who was walking behind the tree they definitely heard me when I called out to them but didn't respond I'm glad that I left when I did last summer I was in the market for a lawnmower because mine broke down I looked for a new one on Craigslist because I had used it in the past and I knew it would be much cheaper than purchasing a new one from the store I looked for several days before a listing showed up that seemed almost too good to be

true I responded to it immediately I got a response back rather quickly they asked me almost right away if I wanted to look at it later that day I had not expected this but I thought why not and decided to go take a look they gave me an address which was about 30 minutes away I arrived at around 700 p.m. the house was at the end of a cu the saac I texted them that I was there about 30 seconds later a man who looked pretty friendly approached my car I got out and shook his

hand he told me that the lawnmower was in his shed behind his house and said to follow him we walked behind his house and about 50 yd behind it was his shed the shed was pretty small and rather dark as soon as we reached it the man told me to go ahead inside and he would get the light as soon as I stepped inside though I felt the man shove me from behind and then shut the door behind me when I got to my feet I was alone in the dark shed I tried the doors

but of course it was locked I pulled out my phone to call the police but I had no signal instead I used it as a flashlight to look around the shed there wasn't even a lawn mower inside it was pretty empty in fact a window had been covered with bars and boarded up I went banging from wall to wall for quite some time but had no success at all then I looked around for any kinds of weapons I could use to try to escape but the best thing I could find was an old piece of

wood the entire shed was probably 15 ft by by 20 ft I sat there thinking of what I should do I remained in there for about an hour before I heard footsteps coming to the shed I knew this would be my best chance to try to escape I got ready for the doors to open as soon as they did I saw the man from before walking in I wasted no time in charging him and hitting him in the face with my old piece of wood that I had found then I pushed the man over and

ran as fast as I could past him as I was running I had reached his house when I heard a gunshot I ran even faster got to my truck and sped off as fast as I could I had no idea that the man was armed it makes it even scarier for me looking back when I got home I reported everything but the man was long gone when police arrived I ended up buying a lawnmower on Craigslist after all but I was a little more careful recently I decided to sell my laptop because I got one

with more memory capacity it was a pretty nice laptop and I was selling it for $400 I figured it would sell pretty quickly because it was worth a little more than that sure enough somebody contacted me about it he said his name was was Robert and he was very interested in the laptop he offered me the full price and asked if we could meet the next day I said yes and he wanted to meet at my house but I suggested we meet at a coffee shop he agreed to it and the next day I went

to the coffee shop with my laptop the meeting time was 5:30 p.m. he showed up on time and came over and introduced himself to me he seemed like a pretty average guy I showed him the laptop and let him look at it he said he liked it but then said he didn't get paid until tomorrow so we would have to meet again then for him to buy it I was pretty annoyed by this because I thought he was going to purchase it then and there but I didn't feel like arguing with the man so I

said I would see him tomorrow and left the shop I was a little frustrated and after thinking about it I figured he probably wouldn't even buy it the next day I thought about putting the ad back up but then I decided to give him another chance and I drove home it was about a 10 minute drive back to my house and when I was almost home I noticed the same car had been behind me the entire Drive I turned off onto my street and the car continued to follow as I pulled into my driveway the

car kept driving down the street but I didn't recognize it as a neighbors I went inside about 30 minutes later I noticed the car was parked on the side of the street across from my house I started to feel concerned I looked closer to see if I could see who was in the car car and when I did I saw it was the man from Craigslist looking at me he then drove off I tried calling him but the number had blocked me I never heard from him or saw him again I don't know why he

followed me home if he was planning to rob me or whatever but I just hope I never see him again last month I decided to sell my big TV with the TV stand on Craigslist I got a new TV that's slightly larger and it's mounted on the wall the old TV is in a large stand and I just kind of had it in the dining room my wife had been asking me to get rid of it but I thought that I could get some money for it so I put it up on Craigslist for a

few days I got no interest though I was seriously considering lowering the price on it because to be honest it wasn't that great of a deal but then I got some interest a man reached out and told me that he might want to buy it he asked if he could see it I told him only if he was serious about it and he said that he was I gave him my address and we arranged for him to come and look at it the next night at 7 p.m. I live in an average size two-story home

that's just me and my wife because the TV stand and the TV were kind of bulky I really didn't feel like lugging it into my car to drive it to some local parking lot I figured it wasn't a big deal that I was giving my address to him the next night at 7:00 p.m. I waited for the guy to show up after 30 minutes went by I sent him a text asking him if he was still coming he responded saying yes he was and he was on his way I kept waiting by the time he

got to my house it was 8:00 and dark outside when I saw his car I was disappointed he arrived in a small little four-door sedan and there was no way that the TV or the stand would fit inside of it I watched the car Drive slowly in front of our house but then the car passed by and I thought for a moment maybe it wasn't him or maybe he was confused on the address but he later parked a ways down almost out of my sight I wasn't sure why he parked so far away but whatever

the guy then walked up and I met him at the front step he was wearing a hooded sweatshirt with the hood up and he appeared to be in his 20s I invited him in and showed him the TV and stand and they weren't too far away from the door all I asked the guy if he wanted to buy it the guy just stood there and looked at it for a few seconds then he said that he wanted to buy it but he didn't get paid until Friday and would have to wait until then I was

pretty annoyed by this I started walking the guy to the door kind of leading him out I asked the guy why he would come over today if he wouldn't be able to buy it the man said that he just wanted to see it he then walked out my front door and back outside we said bye to each other and then I shut the door during this whole meeting my wife had been up upstairs in our bedroom I sat down on the living room couch and turned on my larger mounted TV my wife then came downstairs

and asked me why the guy had gone into our backyard I was like what are you talking about she told me that she had been upstairs and saw out the window when the guy left he walked straight around our house and into the backyard I got up and went to the front window and looked out I just barely saw within my vision the car down the street it was still there I didn't know why the guy would be back there and I told my wife that then I went around to the back windows and looked

out at them at first I didn't see anything I asked my wife where in the backyard he had gone and she told me that he had disappeared behind a bush I kept looking through the windows and then I turned on a light I then leaned to the side and looked out one of the windows towards the bushes just barely I saw the guy Crouch down hiding I could only see part of him but that was enough I cracked open the window just a tiny bit and yelled out that if he didn't leave now I was

going to call the police just seconds later the guy got up and sprinted away I went to the front of the house and looked out the window and my wife and I watched the guy Sprint all the way to his car and then he drove off after that I took the listing off of Craigslist I also reported the incident I regret giving that guy my address and I should have known better I'm glad my wife saw him go behind our house because who knows what his plans were this happened several years ago during this time

I really needed some extra money I was still in school and didn't have a lot of time to work at my part-time job so I went on Craigslist one time in particular and just browsed around to see what the jobs looked like I'd only gone on Craigslist a few times before but I had heard you could do odd jobs for money I didn't even go on that night with full intentions of finding work I was just there to kind of look around however not long into looking I noticed this one job that seemed interesting it

was to help a guy move he said that he was moving that weekend and needed somebody to help him out the guy said he lived alone and we need to have somebody help him load up a moving vehicle and drive it to his new house the drive was roughly 30 minutes and the pay for the thing was really good I think it was like $300 it said it would only take a few hours also so I decided to contact the guy right then and there and the next day he responded saying that I could have

the job the guy's name was Rob I was given his address and told to go there on the day at about 5:00 p.m. so when the time came I drove to the address it was a pretty typical house in what appeared to be an average residential neighborhood Rob lived near the end of a c the saac there were two smaller moving trucks parked on the side of the street out front I parked my car across the street and a little ways down then I texted Rob that I was there he told me to come inside

and I entered his house to see pretty much everything packed up in boxes we spent the next few hours loading up both of the moving trucks it was a lot of work and took us about 1 to 2 hours just to load up the trucks when we were done with that Rob gave me the keys to one of the trucks and he told me to follow him we both then left and headed to his new house I had no idea where his new house was I just knew that it was about 30 minutes away Rob

had told me that his car was already at his new place and he would give me a ride back to my car when we were done overall Rob seemed like a pretty average guy we didn't really talk that much when moving mostly we had just been working so I followed him and we went to this area that I personally had never been to before but it wasn't far from some places that I did know it was a quiet and more rural area I remember remember we were on this really quiet dirt road with Wild Land

and woods on both sides then finally he pulled into this really long driveway there there was a house and it was a much larger property than his last place we parked the trucks and then unloaded everything into his house by the time we were finally done it was like 9:00 at night after being done Rob started to act strange we were clearly done and I said that I should be getting back now but Rob just sat down on one of the chairs in his house and told me to sit down and hang out I figured

he was just trying to be nice so I did but after like 30 minutes of us sitting there occasionally talking and watching the TV that was on in the room I really wanted to go I said again that I needed to leave now Rob just ignored it when I said it so I stood up and I asked if he could give me a ride back to my car now Rob then asked if I wanted him to pay me and he claimed he forgot I said yes and then he got up and actually did pay me

the $300 but then he went back and sat down I sat back down and Rob was starting to give me the creeps he was clearly trying to ignore giving me a ride back so I took out my phone and I texted a friend who lived somewhat close to that area luckily he was still up and I asked him to come by and gave him the address I didn't want to just leave Rob's place because he lived on a quiet dirt road and I wouldn't be able to walk anywhere my friend said he could come and

pick me up Rob just said sat there watching TV for the next 20 minutes or so it was really awkward to say the least I really didn't know what was going on finally I got a text from my friend saying that he was there and he was parked out front on the side of the road I stood up and I said to rob that I had to go once more Rob completely ignored it then I just started walking to the front of the house when I walked away Rob finally asked me what I was doing

I said I was leaving and I told him bye Rob then got up and became began walking after me I walked faster and made it to the front door and as soon as I was out sprinted down the driveway I got to my friend in the car and went inside we then left I told my friend the crazy story as we drove off but when we were still going through the quiet neighborhood roads I noticed headlights behind us when we turned the car behind us did as well I realized that this might be Rob as

we continued back towards where my car was at Rob's other house he kept following us at least I thought it was him I couldn't see inside of his car with it being nighttime but I was sure that it was him my friend decided to make a few random turns to test it out and sure enough the car behind us did the same thing we realized that we should drive to a police station and we did exactly that when we did the car followed us all the way there however it did not go into the parking

lot but turned away we stayed there for a while then finally my friend drove me the rest of the way to my car when we saw my car though there was another car parked right behind it it was the same one that had been following us it had to be robbed and he was still inside of his vehicle we didn't know what to do my friend ended up calling the police we were parked on the side of the road a little ways away Rob's Car was like right behind mine so close that it was almost

touching we told the police the whole story they sent out someone to the address and we waited Rob just stayed there in his car the whole time we could kind of see him not real good but we could tell he was in the car finally the police got there they talked to Rob and eventually he went inside of his house I was able to drive home and my friend did as well after that I haven't seen or heard from Rob since it was such a crazy experience I'm really grateful to my friend for helping me

out I don't know what I would have done without him there I'm a 30-year-old female and last summer I listed my old laptop on Craigslist I paid over 1,000 for the laptop when I bought it brand new and I had recently gotten a new one the laptop was about 3 years old and it worked great I figured I could still get a lot of money for it and I did a little bit of research on what it was worth before listing it this was my first time attempting to sell anything on Craigslist I hadn't bought

anything on Craigslist either but one of my friends had several good experiences with it and recommended it to me so I listed the laptop and over the first few days got no interest I had one person asking if I would accept an offer that was far too low but that was about it then I finally seemed to get somebody that was seriously interested in it I got a message from someone asking if the laptop was still available I told him yes and the person said they would like to come over and buy it the person

said his name was Tony and he was willing to pay full price for the laptop he said that his had recently broken and he really needed one we texted back and forth for a little and ended up agreeing that Tony would come to my house to buy it the next evening that very next morning on what was supposed to be the day of the meeting I saw that I had a friend request on Facebook the request was from Tony himself this puzzled me a bit because I hadn't given him my last name or anything like

that I went on to Tony's page to look at him and to be honest he really gave me the creeps from the things he posted to how he looked I suddenly had a bad feeling about him I started to realized that I had invited this guy to my house but luckily I had not given him my address yet I decided that I no longer wanted him to come over and I was going to tell him that I wasn't going to sell it anymore I texted Tony and I told him that I was sorry but something

had come up and I would no longer be able to sell him the laptop Tony responded pretty quickly asking me why not all I said was that something unex Ed came up and I was sorry but it just wasn't going to work out Tony then texted me that he was still going to come over this made me worried I told him that he did not need to come over anymore and after I texted that he didn't respond I also declined his friend request on Facebook I hoped that he would get the message and would not

ask to come over again a few hours went by and day turned to night and I was feeling better about the whole situation I had not heard from Tony at all but at about 8:00 p.m. I got a text message from him it said I'm here suddenly I had a terrible feeling was he actually here how did he know my address I crept over to the front window and looked outside I saw a car parked outside on the side of the street right in front of my house the driver's door opened and sure enough Tony

was there and walking out I decided to pretend that I was not home most of my lights in the house were off because I had been in the other room Tony walked up to the front step and then knocked on the door I remained where I was and did not even think about answering it he waited and then knocked again this went on for probably 5 minutes I was just hoping that he would finally give up and leave it was quiet for a while and I was thinking about checking to see if Tony was gone

but then I felt my phone vibrate I looked at it to see that Tony had texted me again this time he said I know that you're home let me in I had no clue how he knew I was home but I still didn't answer then about a minute later he tried calling me after I didn't answer his phone call he started pounding on the front door finally I decided to text Tony back I said leave now or I will call the police Tony did not text me back he kept knocking on the door on and

off for a few more minutes when this continued I went ahead and called 911 I told them basically the whole story and I was told that a police officer would be there in 5 to 10 minutes after the police were on their way I got another text from Tony demanding me to let him in the house now I didn't respond then I heard what sounded like Tony running from the front of the house around to maybe the back I didn't hear anything for a while afterwards a short time later the police officer arrived I answered

the door for him and spoke to him for a few minutes it looked like Tony was gone though I showed the officer the text and he ended up searching in my backyard as well as the front and sides of my house Tony was gone but the officer told me not to hesitate to call if Tony caused me any more problems I couldn't believe that Craigslist could be such a dangerous place sure I had heard stories about it but I didn't think it would actually happen to me not in my city I had always considered it

to be really safe plus I was new to Craigslist and had never actually used it before I guess I learned the hard way to be very careful while using it the crazy thing was that I had never given Tony my address I was going to but hadn't done it yet so about an hour after the officer left it was now about 10 :30 at night I was in my bedroom now but not asleep yet I was just watching TV and laying in bed that's when I heard glass breaking coming from the back side of the

house I knew instantly that Tony was back then my phone started ringing Tony was calling me I did not bother to answer it I rejected the call and then blocked Tony's number I ran to my bedroom door and locked it then I called the police once again Tony was walking around at the other end of the house near where he had broken in I heard him yell something but I couldn't tell what it was I told the 911 dispatcher that Tony was back and he had broken in I was told that officers would be there

as soon as possible I didn't know how long I could wait though I ran into my bedroom closet which was small but I could fit inside I hid myself as best as I could Tony made his way closer over to my bedroom soon he was right outside my bedroom door he then yelled for me to let him in he threatened to break the door down if I didn't I yelled loudly that I had already called the police and they would be there any minute Tony didn't reply but pounded very loudly on my door several times

then he walked away and seemingly charged back at my door to try to break it down I heard the loud crashing of him running into my door but luckily it did not break if he got into my bedroom it was probably only a matter of time before he would find me he walked away again but I didn't hear him for a while I really wasn't sure where he went soon there was a knocking at the front door of my house it was the police and at first I was afraid to leave my room but eventually

I was able to I opened the door and I ran as fast as I could to the front door of my house and then let the officers in this time there were at least five police officers there I let them in my house and I stayed outside with one of them they were in my house for quite a while before finally coming out with Tony he had been hiding inside in the Attic this gave me chills when I heard it he had gotten away the first time the police showed up but luckily not the second

after this experience I haven't used Craigslist since when I was in college I attended a fairly large University I had a small apartment about a mile outside of Campus I needed a roommate but all of my friends already had places so I put an ad on Craigslist for one a guy named Peter responded to my ad and asked if he could see the place I agreed and the next day he showed up to look at it he seemed like an average guy to me he said he didn't attend the University but he worked nearby overall

he seemed like a pretty nice guy everything went by normally but I just had a bad feeling about him for whatever reason after looking at the place he left and I said I would get back to him shortly later that night I was just relaxing and flipping through channels on the TV the news was on and they were talking about a murder that had happened they had just caught the suspect and when they showed his picture it was the same man that looked at my place I couldn't believe my eyes needless to say I didn't

end up having him as my roommate for that apartment I was looking for a new car last year the one that I had finally bit the dust and had over 200,000 M on it I really didn't have that much money to buy a new car so I went on Craigslist to look for something used obviously it wouldn't be too hard to find an upgrade to what I had been driving my friend Amanda let me temporarily drive her old car and I got very lucky to have that opportunity so over the course of the next few

days I was looking on Craigslist all the time I then noticed a new listing of a car that seemed to be a very very good deal I did not hesitate and I contacted the seller it was a guy named Kurt we talked a little and I asked if I could look at the car Kurt said yes and told me I could come by the next night at 900 p.m. I asked him if we could meet any earlier and he responded just saying no so I guessed 9:00 p.m. it was and the next night I was

planning to head over to Kurt's house I told Amanda about it and she offered to go with me I accepted her offer because I felt a little bit strange meeting a guy from Craigslist alone so late at night plus Amanda knew a decent amount about cars certainly more than I did so the next night we headed to Kurt's his address led me to what was a pretty quiet neighborhood that was about 10 minutes away his street was dark and there were lots of trees in the people's front yards we parked on the side of the

street across from his address according to our directions we were there I texted Kurt letting him know we waited inside the car for a response after probably 5 to 10 minutes there was nothing I called Kurt as well but got no answer I even double checked to make sure that we had the right time date and address it was all correct we decided to go to Kurt's house and knock on the door we left Amanda's card that she was letting me borrow and headed into Kurt's property he had a driveway to the left of his

house where the car that I wanted to look at was he was sitting right in front of the garage at the back end of the driveway next to the driveway to the left there were quite a few trees and lots of acorns had fallen onto the pavement we walked through his front yard into the front door of his house it appeared as though all the lights inside were off which was strange we knocked on the door but there was no answer after waiting for a while we knocked again there was still nothing this was really

weird I even tried calling him again but there was still nothing I was frustrated and finally we decided to head back we left the front step and started walking back to his driveway when we got into the driveway I stopped to look at the car a little bit that was sitting in front of the garage when I got over there though I noticed something past the driveway in a little bit of grass there were a bunch of trees there was a man who was sort of crouched down and looking at me from behind a tree

I didn't know what he was doing when I saw him it in instantly gave me the creeps I turned and walked back over to Amanda and said that we needed to go she saw that I had been spooked by something but didn't know what she asked me what was going on as we walked I told her I saw a guy looking at us from behind a tree when we got to the end of the driveway we turned around and looked he was now standing there behind a different tree more visible and still looking at us

it was so strange that we quickly got back into the car and left when we got back I went to look at the Craigslist post post and was gone soon after I tried to send Kurt another text but I was blocked it was very strange the whole thing really creeps me out and I sometimes wonder if Kurt was planning to rob me or something and when he saw that I was with another person he decided not to I really don't know I ended up finding a different car shortly after I decided to sell my old

desk on Craigslist it had been lying around in my room Gathering dust and I figured it was time to go I took some pictures and then listed it but after waiting for a whole week with no interest I was starting to lose hope then out of the blue I got a message from a guy who seemed super interested on checking out the desk We messaged back and forth for a little while and soon I gave him my address to come and buy it on the day of the Meetup the man showed up and something about

him felt a little off anyway I welcomed him in and led him to where the desk was the man had sort of long hair that was blondish red he was thin and also somewhat short he looked at the desk for a minute or two there really wasn't much to it it was just an old desk but then he looked up and asked me if he could use my bathroom I was confused at first but I didn't want to be rude so I pointed him in the right direction he was in there for a little while

as I waited in the living room by the desk then finally the man came back over and told me that he really had to get going he thanked me for showing him the desk and said that he would consider it then he left I was sort of confused and also disappointed the whole encounter seemed strange and I was really hoping that the man would have bought the desk for me later that day I decided to lower the price on the desk on Craigslist in hopes that it would get more attention that very night though something

strange happened I was sound asleep when I suddenly woke up to strange noises I sat up and listened closely the noises sounded like they were coming from down the hallway I couldn't figure out what was causing them and they went on for what felt like forever after waking up a little bit I soon realized that the noises were coming from my bathroom down the hallway this was really strange to me so I decided to get up and check it out I got up from my bed and slowly walked over to my doorway it was open

a little and I suck my head out to look into the hallway just as I did that I saw the same guy who had looked at my desk earlier he was leaving my bathroom and starting to walk down the hallway in the opposite direction of me I quickly ducked back into my bedroom I was really glad that the guy hadn't seen me still I was really scared and I couldn't believe that this guy was inside my house I shut my bedroom door and locked it I hadn't thought to be quiet and it made a noise

much louder than I had expected after this I heard movement as if the man was now walking in my Direction sure enough his footsteps started moving closer to my bedroom I backed up and ran to the corner of the room farthest away from the doorway got my phone out and called the police in the meantime the man tried opening my bedroom door when he did I started freaking out then he began banging on the door loudly not as if he wanted me to let him in but as if he was trying to break the door

down I looked around the room but didn't really have any decent hiding places in there I also had nothing I could really use to defend myself as the banging continued I worried that my door wouldn't be able to hold up I looked to the window and decided that I would have to jump out the bedroom was not very high above the ground and I could make the jump to the grass pretty easily I went to the window and started scrambling to get it open it was a lot harder than I thought it would be because

I was panicking the bangs on my bedroom door got louder and louder finally I got the window open and I jumped out onto the lawn beside my house then I ran down the street as quickly as I could I didn't really know where exactly I was going just away from there I wound up making it to the end of the block before running out of breath soon I started walking and I felt much better and was relieved to be away from there the police arrived at my house only minutes later I saw the flashing lights

from the next street over and I walked around when I saw them I carefully headed back and when I got back to my house I was able to see that they had caught the man who had broken in I spoke with several officers for about an hour recapping the whole situation when I learned that officers had found the man in my bedroom with the door broken I couldn't believe it I'm really glad that I left I'm not sure why the man broke into my house though and what his intentions were I do know that he

got in because he left the bathroom window open a little bit for himself when he looked at the desk earlier it was never really his intentions to buy it to wrap up the story I will let you know that I did end up selling the desk at a lower price several weeks later recently my family decided to sell our washer and dryer machines they worked well but we were planning on redoing our basement and wanted something newer that would go with the design we decided to sell them on Craigslist before we would purchase new ones

a man named Kevin responded to the ad and asked if if he could look at them my parents told me that if I could sell them to the guy they'd give me 50 bucks when he got there I went outside to greet Kevin he drove an old beat up Van and when he got out I could see there were at least two other grown men in the car I told him to come inside and let him into the basement once we got down there I started to show him the machines but he didn't seem too

interested in them instead he just looked around our basement even though we were planning to redo our basement it was still pretty nice it was just outdated we had a TV and some video games and a bar with some seating I tried to get Kevin to pay attention to what I was saying by asking him questions like if he had a washing machine or what he thought of it he would just say things like yeah and that's nice then I heard the basement door open and heard several footsteps coming down the stairs I saw four

men enter the room and just stare at me I looked at them confused Kevin then walked over them and they began talking I stood there not knowing what to do and not saying a word Kevin came over to me and told me they were going to take everything nice that we had just after that I heard the basement door open again and my dad entered the room with his gun and shouted at them the men all ran up the stairs and left the police were called but the men were long gone my dad said when

he heard the men enter the house he got suspicious to see what was going on it was one of the scariest moments of my life a few weeks ago I was selling an old couch on Craigslist I was not expecting much really I just wanted to get rid of it because it was old and taking up space I already had a newer and much nicer one I liveed by myself in a two-bedroom house about 20 minutes from a major city the couch had to go but I first wanted to see if I could get any

money for it before just giving it away I had listed the couch on Craigslist for $75 or best offer it sat there for over a week with no action just one text asking about it but it never materialized then I lowered the price to $50 for a few days there was still nothing I was about to just make it free when I received a text from somebody asking about it I told them that it was still available and the person said they were willing to come by and buy it I agreed and the person said

her name was Gabby so after agreeing on a Time Gabby showed up the next day she arrived at my house and I let her in after seeing the couch Gabby offered me $20 for it now this was obviously less than what I was asking but I was also happy to get anything for it I accepted her offer and then I helped her load the couch out onto a truck and we got it in okay after that she left I was feeling good about getting rid of the couch well that night I was sleeping but suddenly

woke up a little after midnight there were these really loud banging noises at first I thought somebody was trying to break in I instantly became completely awake I heard that somebody was pounding loudly on my front door it also sounded like possibly somebody was pounding on a window as well there was seemingly multiple people there someone else may have been banging on another window too I was too scared to look though I just got my phone called 911 and hid under my covers the pounding noises were almost constant going on for a good 5 minutes

at least then they finally stopped things became extremely quiet afterwards I didn't know if the people had broken in or were still there or what I stayed where I was waiting for the police eventually they got there and looked around my property however whoever had been banging on my doors and windows had left I didn't know what they looked like or how many people it was I told the police what I could but they couldn't do much other than tell me to call again if they returned after that the people thankfully did not return to

this day I don't know who it was or what they were doing banging on my house I personally think it had something to do with Gabby who bought my couch now I could obviously be wrong I have no proof so I'm not accusing her but I've never experienced anything like that and the same day she goes to my house this happens maybe it's just a coincidence who knows I'm just hoping that nothing like that ever happens again before I tell you this story I want to point out that I was much younger and less mature

than I am now since this experience I've learned a lot at this time I was 20 years old and had just recently moved out on my own and was living in an apartment I had a job and had just enough money saved up to get a car my budget was low and I knew that the only car I would likely be able to buy was an older vehicle with a lot of miles as long as it was durable and ran well I didn't care though I was just happy to be able to purchase my own

car I lived close enough to the city that I could take buses places but having a car is much more convenient I started looking on Craigslist for a car and set my budget after a few days of looking I found one that I thought would be really good the price was reasonable the car looked to be in good shape and the listing was very recent I reached out to the seller and was contacted he seemed friendly at first telling me that his name was Mark I decided that I probably wanted to buy this car but

I should go look at it and maybe test drive it first Mark said that I could see it that very night or the next one I decided for the next night and I asked asked Mark if there was a public location nearby that we could meet at Mark said no and that I had to go to his house I foolishly agreed to be honest with you I wanted to meet in a public place not because I was suspicious of him but because I could only take buses and public transportation places I would have to walk

farther to go to his house rather than just take a bus stop to a shopping center he also told me to come later at night I think it was like 8:00 or 900 p.m. still I really wanted the car so I went I took the bus to his General neighborhood and then had to walk like four blocks to get to his house when I got close I texted him however Mark did not immediately get back to me soon I made it to his address he had a pretty typical looking house in a neighborhood with lots

of other similar looking houses I saw the car sitting in the driveway by his garage I walked up to his front door and knocked then I waited he didn't answer the door right away but he did text me I got a notification on my phone shortly after knocking when I looked at it he said come on inside I was confused as to why he wanted me to come inside of his house the car was outside and I know that I shouldn't have but I actually did I opened the door slowly and announced that I was

there and said hi but Mark didn't respond to me the house looked very typical inside and I was in the living room but I didn't see or hear Mark anywhere I stood there by the door just a few feet in then suddenly I Heard a Voice it was Mark he said come on in over here his voice was coming from a ways into the house and around a corner it seemed I couldn't see him at all I started walking into the house to where I had heard his voice just a few steps in though and

suddenly All of the Lights Went Out it became pitch black and I couldn't see a thing when this happened I just wanted to get out of there I turned around and tried heading for the door but it was so dark that I had no clue if I was heading in the right direction meanwhile I started to hear footsteps quickly approaching from behind I sped up running into a wall and then tried feeling my way to the door but just moments later the footsteps reached me and I felt somebody grabbing for me they got part of

my left arm and then I sprinted forward and away from them I got lucky and ran into the door which I quickly felt around for the handle and then opened it even though it was dark out I could finally see much better I sprinted out from the house and was not followed outside then I ran away down the street and didn't stop until I had made it back to the bus stop I kept a careful eye out as I waited for the next bus but I didn't see the guy eventually I was able to catch

a bus home when I got back home I looked back on Craigslist and the ad was taken down then I called the police non-emergency line and reported the incident looking back at that experience I know that I should not have entered the house I also probably should not have met the guy at his house either I did end up finding finding a car not too long after which I did buy through Craigslist I still use Craigslist but I'm much more careful and I'm sure to meet the person in public and not go to other people's

houses I am a female a couple of years ago when I was in high school I was looking for a new car to buy on Craigslist I was kind of picky what I wanted so I was constantly refreshing pages to see the new listings one day when I was bored in school I decided to look around the rest of Craigslist for fun I saw the misconnection section and wanted to see the crazy things people were posting there the third result said blonde girl can we meet already I clicked it and expected to get a laugh

but instead I got completely freaked out the ad was describing a girl that this person had been seemingly stalking but the person they described sounded just like me they talked about seeing them walk down certain streets that I walked down and certain stores that I had been to at the same days I screenshotted the post and showed it to a couple of my friends they all agreed with me that it seemed pretty disturbing and it seemed like me that they were describing I thought maybe it was a prank but when I asked all my friends

they all said no over the next few days I started feeling uncomfortable everywhere I went I was paying close attention to my surroundings when I was driving home from school one day I noticed a car driving behind me it followed me all the way to my house and then drove past I don't know if it was a coincidence or not but it got me pretty creeped out I was debating telling my my parents about the ad but I still wasn't for sure that it was me they were describing and I didn't want to scare them

a few more days went by and nothing happened that I noticed until one of my friends sent me a screenshot of another post that was made on Craigslist the person in the post described me leaving school on the last Thursday and also described to a tea what I had been wearing now I knew that it was me for sure they were talking about but I just couldn't figure out who would do something like this that night I was laying in bed trying to fall asleep I was starting to drift off when I heard a noise

come from outside my window in the bushes I looked up and saw a man holding a camera outside my window I screamed as soon as I saw it then I saw a Flash come from the camera and the man run away I didn't get a very good look at him at all all my dad came rushing into the room a few moments later when he did I explained everything to him we went to the police the next day no other posts were made and nothing else happened but unfortunately they were never able to find out

who was responsible
