[Music] [Music] [Music] in the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Ghost amen direct oh Lord all our actions by thy holy Inspirations and carry them on by thy gracious assistance what every prayer and work of ours may begin from thee and by thee be handed through Christ Our Lord amen Mother of Divine Grace pray for us the name of the father Son and the Holy Ghost amen so in this conference what we want to talk about is um what to do when the ordinary means of sanctification or salvation are not generally available
and by that we mean in the sense that what do you do if it gets to the point where you don't have regular access to a priest or the church is under persecution you can't get to church or to um confession on a regular basis what do you what do you do in that particular case I've mentioned this a few years back I think it was about three years ago that we are entering into a time that if the lay people don't stop attacking the clergy that eventually the um they will not have access to
a priest and it some of the precursors are starting to wind up to look like that actually could be the case and not just the fact that good priests are being cancelled but um we saw it a little bit in relationship to co but also that there's you know all sorts of talk about some of the Draconian things that we're going to see coming out of the Vatican and things of that sort so the question becomes what do you do when you don't have regular access to the sacraments really is what it boils down to
okay so there are a few things there's a few areas we want to subdivide this into and by ordinary means we mean the sacraments because the ordinary means of sanctification God intended that people would normally grow in Holiness through the ordinary means which are the various sacraments so baptism receiving of Holy Communion on a regular basis and on going to confession on a regular basis um and and so then if it gets to the point where you don't have access to a priest you're just simply not going to have access to those things now we
do know that there are certain places where this situation is already in place so for example in China in the underground Church they don't have regular access to the priests even if they're part of the underground Church they can't just call the priest up necessarily and go and have their confession her there might be a while before he either makes the rounds or he um you know he they might know who he is but they can't go talk to him because they're being watched or what have you so there can be circumstances where that's uh
actually in place there certain communist countries also where for all intents and purposes the Catholic church is suppressed so the question becomes what do we do in circumstances like that and I want to break it down into a few areas so the first has to do with under uh the recognition of a few things one if it gets to the point where you don't have regular access to the priest we are no longer bound by the precept certain precepts of the church we are others but not so for example you still shouldn't be getting married
unless you're seeing a priest um and also there is the obligation to um keep holy the Sabbath which is actually part of Divine Law so people have this idea that going to mass on Sunday and holy oblig uh holy days of obligation are actually part of Divine Law and actually they're not the Divine Law is to keep holy the Sabbath which we'll talk about here in a minute so it's to keep holy the Sabbath um whereas the church says the way you're going to keep that um uh holy is by the ecclesiastical precept which is
to attend Mass on Sundays and holy days of obligation of course then there's also the precept of confessing your mortal sins once a year to a priest that would no longer be in force although you don't want to let yourself get into a state of mortal sin which we'll see here in a bit so the point being is is that the ecclesiastical precepts just aren't simply aren't going to bind so if you can't make it to confession well then it's not that or to u to Mass on a Sunday because there's no priest available well
then you're not there's no mortal sin committed in that uh as a result of that uh some of these are pretty obvious but sometimes you have to State the obvious first okay so the first thing we want to do is talk about what people need to do in relationship to their overall spiritual life and the first thing they need to do is always remain in the state of grace and the reason being is is because uh this is to address a specific issue that we see today people think that you go to heaven because you're
innocent that's actually not true you go to heaven because of the fact that you're in the state of grace and so you have to have sanctifying in your in your soul in order to be saved if it gets to the point where there's not priest available and things are pretty ugly within the culture you could find yourself losing your life if you're not in the State of Grace and ending ending up in Hell over the whole process so you want to make sure that you never do commit any mortal sin whatsoever now that also brings
up another thing that it's true that it in order to commit a mortal sin you have to have the subjective requirements so you have to have know that it's mortally sinful that is that it's grave matter you have to give uh so and you have to have sufficient reflection on that that what you're doing is actually grave matter then you have to have full consent of the will which is is um uh can be in the will obviously it's you can have different degrees of that in the will so you have to have that but
those are the the subjective standards and so you never want to make sure subjectively that you ever commit a moral sin where you have full consent and sufficient reflection and this is going to be difficult because as especially when things get more and more difficult uh geopolitically and things of that sort and even within the church as Things become more and more crazy it's going to be harder and harder for people not to um you know commit mortal sins of anger or Despair and things of this sort so they have to be very careful not
to allow these things to affect their spiritual life to the degree that they can okay so never allowing yourself to commit a mortal sin if you do commit a mortal sin and this is a topic I've talked about in the past um you know people say oh well then you just make a perfect Act of Contrition here's the problem I realized that certain people online have contradicted when I've said this and I realize that they they're good intention that they they want us but the fact of the matter is is that the grace first of
all you can not make a perfect Act of Contrition which is being sorry purely for the sake that it offended God not because you're going to end up in Hell or what have you but it's purely because you offended God and the church and the theologians have said that you can't make that perfect Act of Contrition without a special Grace it's and that's why they used to consider it always extraordinary The Graces to be get to the point of going from being in the state of mortal sin to being in the state of grace to
have that um that perfect Act of Contrition is the disposition and then God will Infuse it if you don't have that disposition perfectly he won't Infuse it and so it was considered extraordinary the people will say oh no you can just do it whenever can't if that were the case then there would be zero reason to institute the sacrament of confession because if I could just you know turn to God and say I'm sorry and then automatically I was back in the State of Grace there would be no point in actually well there would be
other points but there would be no necessity of going to confession which the church says is not the case going to confession is the ordinary means of going from uh post baptism from being in the state of mortal sin to being in the State of Grace it's the ordinary means that means that uh making an act of perfect Contrition is extraordinary it's not extraordinary in two senses one it's above and beyond what ordinarily occurs but the second part of it is is that it's rare it's not it's not God it's not like God just hands
these things out uh in um you know like candy they're it's pretty rare it also means that the person has to they there should be some precursors that the person should have um in their own spiritual life such as a disposition to always be contrite and always work on being contrite Etc and that's one of the things that you should need to do is is that so is to be aware of another teaching of the church however is that we can remit venial sin by performing certain meritorious acts in the State of Grace so if
I'm in the state of grace and I um recognize there's a particular sin that I've committed a venial sin that I've committed I can actually say an act of contrition for that and it will be forgiven it'll actually be committed now we don't have certitude like we do in confession in confession once the priest gives us Absolution then boom we know it's been forgiven this is why they the authors say that even if I do those things that are necessary to um get that venal sin remitted that is I'm in the state of grace and
I make an act of penance Etc in relationship to it that it'll be remitted or I can do perform some more notorious act even to have it remitted that it'll be remitted but I have to be in the state of grace and so but we should be in the habit of doing that anyway this is going to be really important because a lot of traditionalists may not be committing mortal sin on any kind of regular basis but they are committing venial sins and so they need to get into the habit of doing two things one
is making an um uh examination of conscience at regular intervals at least once at night at least but it should be done um even more frequently making an examination in conscience second if you're in the State of Grace exping sorrow and asking God to forgive the sin and maybe doing some little Act of penance because those would be the three things that would you normally get assigned in a if you go to a confession um and so if you do that then God will remit that again you don't have certitude but at least if you
don't have regular access to a priest you can have ongoing remission of your venial sins which is really key to maintaining your strength and vigor spiritually because as we commit venial sins we become spiritually weak so you want to make sure that you're doing that at regular intervals and you should be doing that that anyway but you still want to when it if you do have access to a priest at a certain point and even now when you do have access you still even if you're doing those things to remit your venial sin you want
to make sure that you're bringing them up in confession anyway for the sake of that certitude but then also for the uh extra sacramental Graces that are necessary in order to avoid that sin in the future and you're going to have to rely more on God's actual Grace okay so uh in addition to you know making regular Act of penance and Contrition and trying to get your sins remitted V the venial sins remitted that's what you need to do if if a person receives a uh an extraordinary Grace for um perfect Contrition that's great if
you're making Contrition anyway at regular intervals um then it's more likely that God is to give you that Grace if you do fall in the state of mortal sin but there's no guarantee right and so this is one of the reasons why the um Christ instituted confession in order to provide for us an ordinary means of getting back into the State of Grace when we're not in the State of Grace okay and and having certitude about that some degree of certitude we don't have absolute certitude but we do have some degree of moral certitude that
okay I'm in the State of Grace because I confessed you know clearly and authentically and without um holding anything back it any mortal sins back and I was truly sorry for my sins Etc then once the priest gives Absolution then you have certitude that they're forgiven okay so you want to maintain that um but you also in addition to doing that even now in confession getting into the habit of trying to get your sins remitted and like if you catch yourself committing a venial sin try and get in the habit of doing a little bit
AC of penance asking God for the forgiveness in relationship to that or expressing sorrow to him so that it's remitted as soon as possible and then that will help to maintain the the Vigor to some degree obviously there is not the same degree of Grace that you're going to be given through the um through confession but it's still something that can help maintain your spiritual life if you have to go long periods without being able to see a priest or get to confession uh obviously we cannot get to if it's a state of emergency parents
can emergeny baptize their children if it's a state of emergency or there's reasonable expectation the child could die at a you know um going forward then the parents can actually do that not now but here we're talking about in extraordinary circumstances because there has to be a state of emergency uh by that I mean there has to be some uh serious cause and there's not a priest available or a deacon available at the church in order to be a to baptize the child that can be done but it has to be again it has to
be in circumstances where you know if you have a child and there's no way that a priest is going to get a chance to baptize this child for a significant amount of time and the world situation the church or the world has drastically declined and gotten very ugly then you could do it in because it would be considered sufficient for that emergency state but now you still have to go to the um uh to a priest one of the and so people need to learn the emergency form of baptism which is you just St State
the name so it's Johnny I baptize you in the name of the father son holy spirit amen at the same time that you're actually pouring the water on the child's head so um and if you can do it in the form of a cross three times that's best but the point being is is that uh you want to make sure you learn the EM emergency form going forward so that they know obviously confirmation is going to be out until we get access to Bishops uh and marriages are essentially going to be out in relationship to
that um uh until you have access to a priest who would have faculties in order to be able to or uh be a pastor that could actually hear your uh witness the marriages so there's that you may not get sacraments on the at the time of your dying so we want to talk a little bit about how you can compensate for not being able to get access to the sacrament of extreme unction the first is so normally in in the last rights so the last rights are actually comprised four things the first is um sacramental
Absolution so the priest says do you want to go to confession and the person says yes and so they hear he hears his confession gives him absolution then he anoints the person that that's part of the extreme unction then uh the um third part is viaticum which is actually the reception of communion we're going to talk about that in a little bit of how you can compensate for that um again all these compensations are not going to be on the same level but they will still provide the person some Grace in relationship to that and
then the last is the Apostolic Pardon where the priest um when people are in extrem exit as they're about to die the priest can actually give the person um the Apostolic Pardon which is essentially the priest saying a prayer granting a prary Indulgence at the time in which the person dies based upon the pope granting the faculties of that worldwide to priests in those circumstances only so if they in that circumstance and the priest can actually gr Grant it which is great because then people can actually have um in those particular circumstances the the person
it's a basically a get out of purgatory free card okay so in of of those four obviously we already talked a little bit about how to compensate a little bit for confession um again it's a matter of making examination in conscience and avoiding sin uh Etc asking God for The Graces that you would normally receive from the um sacramental confession asking for those Graces that they're obviously not going to be quite the same but asking them for that so that he can help you to avoid the sins that you commit um as far as the
viaticum well you're going to have to um make and it would be the same thing if you can't get to a mass obviously one of the things you want to do is make a spiritual communion and you can do this you can make as many spiritual communions as you like throughout the course of the day and so but it's you should be trying to do it once a day if you can't this is a good practice even if you're not in a situation where you don't have access to a priest but you can't get to
mass so like for example if you have to go to work you should be making spiritual communions at least once a day for the sake of receiving those Graces so making the spiritual communions will be helpful to receive Grace is to sustain you during this uh time which is going to be particularly difficult also making spiritual communions is also very Preparatory because it helps us to Value the Eucharist uh the breasted Sacrament so that when we do are able to receive Holy Communion we're more likely to be more devout and More reverential in our interior
dispositions in relationship to it so that it's more fruitful but you want to make sure that you're actually um making making that um uh spiritual communion at regular intervals this is if you know you don't have access to a priest but even if you don't you can't get to to mass then there is um the uh actual anointing now there's not a whole lot you can do in act to get The Graces for anointing except for just say some prayers and ask for petition God for The Graces to prepare yourself for death or to prepare
your or to heal you if there's something some particular physical malady um and then the last one is the Apostolic Pardon so this is one of the reasons why uh this one becomes particularly difficult because the conditions of the church now are in order to receive a plary Indulgence you obviously have to be in the State of Grace you have to be in confession within 8 days either before or after and you have to um receive Holy Communion and you have to do some penitential work well obviously you're not going to be able to receive
Holy Communion and spiritual communion doesn't suffice you actually have to receive Holy Communion so you may not be able to get a plary Indulgence because of the circumstances however if the only thing you're guilty of venal sin is venial sin and if you're the if you're um you know making uh trying to get that remitted through uh meritorious acts on an ongoing basis then it's possible that all you really need is a partial Indulgence in order for you to be able to not have to spend much time or any time in purgatory you would need
something as Extreme as a planer Indulgence in a certain sense that would mean that the partial Indulgence would suffice for you're not having to spend that much time in purgatory but even if it doesn't um say there's other things that you would have to REM uh spend some time in purgatory still doing those works and offering them to our lady or offering them up for the plary indulgences and in order to receive those will help to gain the indulgences so that we would get the benefit that we would get not of the apostolic pardon in
its completeness but at least to some degree so there should be uh practicing those kind of devotions in relationship to all of the sacraments um is what you want to get into the habit of doing now so that when it when these things do occur there's not a struggle to get into the habit of doing it because if we're in the habit now these when things start happening that are going to be really bad it's going to be extraordinarily distracting for people spiritually and if you're not in the habit of it it's going to be
much harder to develop those virtues then than if you do it now those habits um uh at that time than if you do it now okay so on a spiritual level you want to make sure that you're trying to basically do those spiritual practices which the church has put in place which can provide you The Graces not The sacramental Graces of the sacraments because those can only come through the sacraments but ancillary Graces that can actually come that can compensate or be similar to the sacraments so that you can receive the grace uh uh of
those things in that way so like we just talked about we also this means there has to be developed now so that when it happens absolute Fidelity to Grace one of the things that people need to realize is that if we go through a chastisement which it looks like it's going to happen if we go through a chastisement the degree of suffering for those who are uh United to God through sanctifying Grace and trying to do and trying to engage in their spiritual life seriously he will provide them sufficient Grace to sustain what comes in
order to remain faithful to him so what does this mean it means that when the chastisement hits there will be an uptick in grace to certain people who are being very faithful and doing uh and trying to grow closer to to God so it's not the type of thing that once the chastisement hits we're just kind of on our own on a spiritual level God will be giving us the grace to be able to do the right thing but it means we have to be in the habit now of being very faithful to those and
the more faithful we are to the grace the more we able to discern those Graces especially when they're very subtle about what the right thing is to do but also that God is present and that he's actually helping me get through this process so that absolute Fidelity to Grace is a habit that has to be developed now because when this all hits it's going to be extraordinarily difficult and it's going to be really hard to do that at that point if we don't already have the habit of it now okay on another spiritual level means
prayer so we have to have a we have to have a consistent prayer life but before I get to that I want to talk a little bit about Detachment we need to devel be developing Detachment from all created good because when the chastisement hits or when all this stuff hits this stuff is going to be stripped from us and when we don't have the regular access to a priest even our attachments to the spiritual Goods of the church they're not going to be available right and so we're going to have to be able to rely
be completely detached from all these things to be able to rely perfectly on God alone okay so our attachment can only be to him so working on Detachment but then the Detachment will also help me to not get so distracted regarding my own spiritual life if a person had reached the the level of perfection in the spiritual life when the chastisement hits in all its Fury he would be completely unperturbed in the process but if you're not perfect then there's going to be a certain level of um interior lack of peace and disturbance that you're
going to have to deal with and it's going to be proportionate to how many attachments you have to the world so if you're not developing that Det Detachment is just going to be the how much you detach is going to determine how much peace and how much easier it is to go through the chastisement but we can't delude ourselves I tell people you should be prepping to some degree on a natural level for chastisement however if you listen to our lady at aita she said both the good and the bad will suffer this process and
so we a lot of traditional I think have this idea that well I'm prepping plus I'm living a good spiritual life so when all this hits I'm just going to Coast through the whole process with virtually no difficulty whatsoever and I think that's just a delusion it doesn't matter even for those who are perfect the chastisement is going to be extraordinarily uh painful it's going to be an extraordinary suffering and so even if we are where we need need to be they's still going to be suffering across the board and in fact our lady said
that um at the end of the chastisement man will be so desolate that the living will Envy the dead and we can't be we can't presume even if we prepare and do all these things even though we should as a credential matter that somehow or another that we aren't going to be desolate at the end of this either right and part of that desolation is necessary because Humanity has to be stripped of anything whatsoever that he thinks he can rely on independently of God that's what we're going to see that nothing man has can keep
us from the suffering that we're going to endure through this process so it's going to be brutal even for the per perfect and so we have to realize okay then I'm going to have to be in the habit of being very faithful to Grace okay so and that means being detached and it also means having a habitual prayer life so if I'm detached when these things hit I'll still be able to maintain my prayer life I think when the chastisements really starts to hit people are going to be so hyperfocused on what's Happening that they're
going to start forgetting God unless there's some type of reminder some people just automatically turn to God but there's going to be that distraction and that means we have to really have a very strongly um developed set of habits regarding prayer prayer is technically an act of the virtue of religion and that means we have to have habitual religion the virtue of religion which means that at regular intervals we're praying all at regular intervals right so we have to be developing our our um prayer life on a um to the point where it's just we're
constantly turning to prayer and we're constantly you know having that Union with God telling we love him Etc this is going to be really important because I talk about this at another conference um which will go up before for this one hopefully but basically I talk about the fact that when the chastisement hits if there's not some kind of compensation or Enlightenment of conscience on the side of God charity is going to completely implode because people will be in survival mode and they are going to be like we saw in Katrina right where they're just
going door to door and stealing and killing each other that's what's going to happen unless God intervenes in some fashion so the uh point being is that we have to have a deep prayer life so that it doesn't get derailed by all that stuff that's going on but also we're able to keep our focus on him because what we suffer so what we suffer and the degree we suffer when this all happens this is actually not true just in the chastisement it's even true in our life in general but regardless of what we suffer um
that is entirely chosen by God the degree and what we suffer this is going to be true even when the chastisement hit who suffers what is entirely at his discretion and that means that certain people will uh even really holy people will suffer tremendously for the sake of their purification and growth in Holiness other people won't suffer that much um or suffer less I should say and so but It ultimately just means that it's up to him to determine whether we even live through the chastisement right cuz I think that's one of the things we
saw with Co is it didn't matter where you're at you could be affected by this thing somehow in some way and this is what we have to expect when the chastisement there will not be a single inch of this planet that will be a place where you can escape to right everyone's like oh we'll go to our Islands that's not how this is going to work right so uh there's not going to be any place you can escape so the basically what you have to do is make sure your prayer life is where it needs
to be to sustain you through that and so that it doesn't get affected in that going through it okay and this means that you should have certain kinds of devotions right uh going into these times in which you may not have regular access to a priest um you should have you know you should be saying the rosary on a regular basis because that's the thing that's going to one of the things that's going to sustain you you should be um you know making those communions as I mentioned should be doing your other prayers meditation all
that so that when it hits you can still maintain it okay the one thing I do want to talk about next is virtue so one of the things that we're going to have to have is if a person does not have a high level of the virtue of mortification and the virtue of continency in the will so mortifications in the rable appetite and it's basically the it's part of Courage it gives me the ability to Suffer Well if I have not mastered suffering well the chastisement or going through a time where I don't have regular
access to a priest is going to be extraordinarily difficult how much we suffer is going to be that uh in the sense of how well we suffer I can have tremendous suffering but still have peace and joy through that if I've mastered this virtue any lack of this virtue and the degree of the lack of this virtue is going to tell me proportionately how much I'm going to suffer when this stuff all hits and here I'm presuming that regular access to the priest and not getting regular access to priests is the precursor it's the spiritual
precursor to the physical chastisement so we might see that coming fairly soon we might you know I always tell people people say father rer says this well yeah but it's always in the subjunctive which basically means well it might it could be be it seems like Etc but the fact is is that it's coming it looks like it's coming but we don't have certitude about um in the end something could happen uh God could intervene in some fashion or he could allow the chastisement happen we just don't know when that's going to occur but there's
always going to be a spiritual precursor to that and that means that God is going to take away from people their regular access to the sacraments or the ordinary means of sanctification that at least that's what it looks like that that's what's coming okay so if you're going to suffer that you have to be able to suffer all of that well because for a faithful person not having regular access to the sacrament is very painful right and it can be used to your purification and you can even offer it up asking our Lord and our
lady to give you the grace to be able to um to be able to have access to a priest at least on occasion when all this is happening so that you can um you know when the time happens that at least from time to time you'll still get to confession and maybe get to mass and things of this sort okay but if you don't have good CH if you don't have that ability to Suffer Well that Spirit of mortification which means you have to master it now if you don't have it then your charity is
going to decline but it also means your joy is going to decline and it ALS Al means that that gratitude is going to implode people will become very bitter and resentful that they've had to go through the degree of suffering or the kind of suffering that they've had to go through and so lack of gratitude so building gratitude now for what we have now so that when these things hit you can the person can have a gratitude towards God for the spiritual benefits that they might deriv from all of that so but fortitude is going
to be one of the the main things now fortitude St Thomas says is broken into two parts the first is the ability to sustain blows right so you have to have a certain kind of strength in order to take the blows right but then he says there also has to be the ability to go the distance longevity how you know to be able to sustain it for a long period of time and I'm afraid that's what a lot of people don't have if it's if we know what we're going to know first of all if
there's a cut off of the clergy beforehand that could happen a year to two years before the geopolitical situation implodes and then we we actually go through some type of physical chastisement but uh and so that's going to be a suffering that people have to be able to sustain and this means they have to be in a place where their spiritual life can maintain itself even if they can't get regular access to the sacraments and that means they have going to have to have a certain level of spiritual life before that all hits the second
part of it it gets back back to then that ability to go the distance if the physical chastisement is what we've heard through prophecies that'll last a year to a year and a half that means a person is going to have to be able to suffer intense suffering for a year to a year and a half and if you're not at that point in your spiritual life you better start working on it because otherwise you don't know how you're going to respond even though as I mentioned God will give us the grace to get through
that the fact of the matter is is that we don't if I'm not doing that regularly I don't know how I'm going to react when it the the the longevity or the the the longness of Soul that's necessary to sustain the um suffering the long the virtue of longsuffering if I don't have that or I only have a little bit of it I'm only going to go so far and then I'm going to start having real difficulties interiorly it's precisely actual Grace and virtue that it's going to help a person keep their sanity during that
time because we're going to see levels of suffering and Horrors that are just so off the charts from what we what the descriptions have been that it's going to be ex very difficult for us to maintain even our emotional and psychological equilibrium without a very deep Devotion to our Lord our lady and also to having these virtues so there has to be longsuffering so obviously the way you devel that is when you're sitting at the light you pull up to the stoplight it's that one you know that you know it has a 5 minute cycle
right you everyone knows that everyone can think of one oh yeah it's this light it's five I just missed it so I'm going to be here for five minutes well what that tells you is that at that moment God has giv you the opportunity to develop and he wants you to develop the virtue of patience which is you know be able to suffer evils but you also have to have uh longness of Soul which is that ability to go a long time without in that suffering and still remain perfectly equanimous in that regard okay so
so what we want to do is then so there that there those virt want talk a little bit more about some of the virtues and then we'll open it up to some questions so we have uh so we have to have that longness of soul that ability to suffer intensely keeping a perspective that this is all Ely for my spiritual benefit whatever I go through in this regard if I lose my life in that process well at least I won't be envying the dead later down the road so um but um so there's so there's
that less of Soul there's also going to have to be maintained Justice Etc in relationship to people I've already mentioned charity it's also going to have to be Faith so faith is of course the the virtue which God puts in our intellect by which we're able to see the truth and to give aent to the truth of those things that pertain to the deposit of Faith it's going to be really painful and difficult and so a lot of people's faith is going to be tried like why would God allow this and why would this happen
I think part of it is is we know that God is just so that's part of our faith um we can also know that through the natural L of Reason by the way but we know he's just but then we also know that he um that he's I think he's slowly revealing to us to some degree I I tell people we haven't even seen the tip of the iceberg of the moral corruption in this world right now not even the tip of it it's kind of like you know when a Iceberg goes underneath the water
the water is kind of churning well we're seeing the churning right now it's not and so once this thing kind of Peaks its ugly head we're going to start seeing stuff that's just mind-numbing right and we're starting to see more and more of that it's look like it's coming but this is God's way of showing us that yes when the chasti came you did deserve this right and that it's going to be proportionate and he's only going to have the chastisement as long as is necessary for our purification and for the setting of humanity correctly
and also to punish this to some degree but there's going to be it's primarily for our correction so that when we come out the other end will have a particular perspective on how we need to proceed at least in relationship to God so um I want to back up just a little bit in relationship to prayer so Justice part of justice is the virtue of religion and part of virtue of religion is the act of prayer one of the things that people can do when they don't have access to Mass on a regular basis is
to on Sundays at a specific time where that the family sits down and they read through they actually read through and pray through the mass in their hand missiles and follow the the propers of the day so that they're able to kind of maintain a type of lurgical iCal cycle if you can do the office or something to that degree that would be good but there doing that on a regular basis will help to develop that virtue religion and also give a sense of you know not being so cut off from the mass and the
sacraments and then at the time of your communion you just the pr people would just make a spiritual communion and then you finish Mass but okay so but faith we have to have that faith hope is one of the things that's going to be U battered the most I'm just going to to say a couple things about that and then we'll open it up so hope oh wait a minute back up part of Detachment has to do with Temperance so people have to be building Temperance now because when the chastisement hits even after we come
out the other end of it we are simply not going to have the same level of comfort the the varieties of food that we have we're not going to have any of that it's going to take a long time before that stuff gets to back where it was or it is now and so it's going to things are going to it's going to take a while to get to that and so we have to be prepared to be able to eat food that we may not necessarily like for long periods of time in order to
be able to get to that and that means there should be some fasting and absence being done now we might even go days without food it's not going to kill us right and so we have to be prepared for that as well so this is one of the things that we have to kind of keep in mind but I want to return back to Hope okay cuz things are going to be ugly and it's going to be difficult for us to see that God is somehow fulfilling his promises actually the chastisement is one of his
promises which is basically telling us look if you don't get your act together this is what's going to happen and so we don't and then it happens which should actually be to strengthen our Faith and Hope um because it's a sign that God is going to fulfill his other things as people have heard me say but it's also an indicator that what he tells us is true it also tells us that he's just and we can also make it use it as an opportunity to actually grow in hope to him that is that well if
he's told us this and then he's willing to put us through chastisement it means he ultimately loves us because he's trying to get us straightened out he may even let us suffer as our lady said at aita that if man isn't careful the chastisement will come from his own hands he may allow that to happen in order so that in that process we learn that when we get delivered up to ourselves because we've cut ourselves off to God then what the the the type of suffering that we're going to incur upon ourselves because of our
sinfulness is completely not worth it it would be much better if God was the only one doing the chastising but he may allow us to suffer our own um sinfulness in order for us to see this is what happens when you're not faithful to Grace and you're not willing to embrace your cross and do the right thing then this is what's going to come of you in the end you know the the fact that basically human beings will be wiping out other human beings Etc we're going to to see this um but that all being
said so but it should be an opportunity for Greater Hope knowing that if he said this then it's going to be the Fulfillment of other aspects of his plan and if our lady at laelette if that comes true when she said there will be 25 years of good harvest so once we come out of the chastisement things will be pretty good for 25 years and so that means that that's kind of a promise to God it's not that different from when we we see parents who spanked their kid because he's done something bad and but
then at the same but then shortly after that expr look I love you and that's why I did this to show a sign of affection to the child even though his his Brites are still smarting he they do that in order so that the child gets a proper ordering and to know that we still love him and I think that 25 years of good harvest is going to be God's way of showing us that affection but we we're not we obviously not going to respond to it well because of Fallen human nature but we can
as faithful Catholics respond to that well knowing that that's the hope but then in the end all of these things were supposed to happen and then eventually Christ returned because that's what our real hope is in that once he returns all of this will be uh set Astrin any questions comments yes so with spiritual communions is there a format or a form to to do that or suggestion on your part how to do it spiritual communion yeah there's a traditional form that's online and you can just follow it um I think it's like about a
paragraph long can um sometimes you can it doesn't necessarily have to be anything formal although I usually recommend it to be formal so that it's more structured and more kind of Quasi lurgical but you can just do it you can just kneel down and and ask Jesus you know for I ask you to come into my soul in the form of a spiritual communion at this time because I can't have access to you physically and so you can do something as simple as that but the longer form I think is a little better but you
can find it online yeah what about the virtue of crud uh yeah that is you're going to have to have a lot of it but I cover that in a conference that should have come out already for those of you listening now um I have an entire conference on Prudence so I'll just hold it off on that yeah with the uh with the virtue of temperance you mentioned that we need to to build that virtue and I think at least what I see in the United States is that you know as as we sway towards
certain forms of government that are less capitalistic and Things become less and less available I think we may see that already see that already and may we may have an opportunity to BU that virtue based on you know a leftward deviation of our society and these things become less and less available I think so less food less yeah because they're intentionally trying to basically slowly but surely put things in place in the chain supply system where we're just not going to have access to this stuff regularly so um and some of them as as you
can just get this online they're saying you've heard me say this a few times this weekend they want us to eat bugs right not that I suggest we're going to get that far but the point is is that it may go back for a while to where the only thing we're going to have is stuff that's in season you know we may not have meat on a regular basis we may not have these things for a while but there should be enough Temperance there already developed where that's not going to kill us yes going back
to the sacrament of baptism so there are pocks in this country right now where there aren't priests in hospitals to baptize a baby that's born and it's critical yes so the parents do it correct what's the responsibility of the parent when the emergency's gone the child's now bed hopefully correctly right do they need to go to their Parish to have the child baptized officially uh okay so you can only baptize somebody once and since their baptism if it's done properly if they have the intention of doing what the church intends and they poured the water
at the time in which they said I baptize you in the name of father son the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost then in that particular case the kid is validly baptized they actually if the once the emergency passes they have to go to the pastor and inform them he's going to ask them questions about okay how did you do it Etc and then um if he has any questions he can do a conditional baptism but then he has to do what's called the supplying of Rights so there's a whole set of lead UPS to the
before the baptism and after the baptism that are done and he supplies all of those except for the baptism if it's a valid baptism if it's not then he or if he's not certain he does a conditional baptism but they have to go to the the parish and have it done part of the reason for that is is um and one thing I should mention if you baptize somebody when there's not emergency or possibility of death um then it's considered mortally sinful right so people have to be careful about that because I know people that
are doing that right they're like oh I like that little boy from the people next door they run over and they baptize the little kid right so um and that has to be really avoided but in that particular case though they have to go to the uh and notify because part of it is it also has to be put in the baptismal registry for later when the other sacraments come up so um and so they have to actually know so the pastor has to be informed and it's his duty to make sure it was done
properly um as I mentioned if there's any question do it conditionally and then Supply the RS um baptize somebody's child who's not an emergency without the parents permission do they when they realize it's a mortal sin do they tell the parents they've done that okay for first of all you have to tell the local Pastor so he actually puts it in the books second of all and you got to go talk to him about it but as far as the parents go it depends on the circumstances you know if you're going to find yourself in
jail Etc well maybe not on the other hand um if the circumstances are such that they might say well okay that's fine then you'd have to tell them and make sure that the kid re uh is able to receive uh the re his formation necessary to be Catholic which is pretty dicey is that where you could end up in being mortal sin because you you put somebody in a situation you baptized them they don't have any opportunity to receive that formation formation and they can go on and live a dissolute life orely non Catholic life
or even reject the faith in which case then they've um corrupted the virtue of Faith which is a sacrilege and then and then is that on you also as part of your judgment yeah it is why you don't do it unless if there's great cause then you can now if you if you baptize the child and understanding that that in your understanding that the child is going to die and then through some miraculous intervention yeah the baby survives yeah then you're still yeah then you have to tell the pastor and then also maybe talk to
the parents about praising the kid Catholic it's a little dicey but that's what it is that's why they say you should be morally certain the person's going to the child's going to die before you do it yes so father I have a question I guess I don't know if it's a question or a comment about confession um right now it seems that there are pockets of um areas where priests are not willing to hear confessions these are traditional priests they limit the time severely they don't show up when they're supposed to be in the confessional
they will not come back after Mass when the line is long right they will not U allow you to ask them to hear your confession um sadly even if a person is um is in a position where they may die so um given that is is this the beginning of of the spiritual chastisement is that what we're experiencing or is this just a different type of problem that people need to uh go to superiors and and uh ask for assistance or what is your take on that if the yeah if the superiors are open open
to correcting the problem I think you should go to them um I do think it's the precursor to um to that spiritual chastisement what it's a sign of what okay so let me back up just a little bit one of the things that becomes very clear if you watch what happened in the 1960s the spiritual precursor was the retraction of God's grace in the 40s and 50s and you see him it's like he's retracting his Graces as time goes on in different ones and I think one of the things that we're seeing him doing is
retracting priests the grace to priests to fulfill their duties that's slowly happening um and so you know unless the priest is really working on his spiritual life and really trying to do what he's supposed to do you're seeing that across the board I mean you you see you see this you started noticing this a little bit even in the 80s and 90s when people would go to confession and the priests you know the priest would tell people well those aren't those aren't sins or those aren't Mor sense just to cut down his workload because he
didn't want to have to hear confessions right and so you started seeing that already that there was already a dereliction of Duty um which is part of the reason for that um uh holy hour of reparation right for um uh the neglective vocations and neglective duties of those in their state in life but the point is is that um we're starting to see that retraction and I think we're starting to see the precursors of the retraction of Grace I think we're all also one of the other pre the other signs of a retraction From Grace
is now we have um both in the church and in the political situation very very grave Evils are becoming known of who did what to who when where how and why and there's nothing done about it and that's an indicator that God's retracting the grace to those whose job it is to enforce this stuff so we're starting to see that happen even in the church right and so um that I think that what you just described is actually a precursor to that uh to the the more intense spiritual chastisement where there's virtually no sacraments available
um and then that there's that precursor um but these are some of the stuff that's leading up to that I think all right if you have no other questions I'll give you a blessing beneden at at amen
