Gathering sticks Elijah called out to her and asked could you bring me a little water in a jar so I may have a drink as she was going to get the water Elijah added and please bring me a piece of bread too the Widow stopped and turned to Elijah with worry she said as surely as the Lord your God Lives I don't have any bread only a handful of flour in a jar and a jar and a little oil in a jug I am Gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for

myself and my son that we may eat it and then we will die Elijah told her don't be afraid go home and do as you said but first make a small loaf of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me then make something for yourself and your son for this is what the Lord the god of Israel says the jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the Lord sends rain on the land even though she was scared and had

very little the Widow chose to trust Elijah and God's promise she went home and used used the last bit of her flour and oil to bake a small loaf of bread for Elijah then a miracle happened every day there was enough flour and oil in the jars to make bread for Elijah the Widow and her son the jars never ran out of flour and oil just as God had promised through Elijah The Widow's initial hesitation turned into an amazing Act of Faith and generosity because she trusted God and gave what little she had she and

strict and they told her that if she didn't pay back what she owed they would take her two sons away to become servants feeling desperate and not knowing what to do the Widow went to see Elisha the prophet she hoped he could help her Elisha asked her what do you have in your house she told him I don't have much at all just a small jar of olive olive oil Elisha then gave her a surprising instruction he told her go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars don't just get a few get lots

of them then go inside your house with your sons shut the door and start pouring oil into all those jars the Widow did as Elisha said she and her sons gathered many jars and began pouring out the small amount of oil she had miraculously the oil didn't run out she kept pouring and every jar was filled to the brim finally when they brought the last jar and it was filled the oil stopped flowing excited and amazed the Widow went back to Elisha to tell him what had happened he told her go sell the oil and

pay off your debts you and your sons can live on what's left over with the sale of the oil she had enough money to pay every debt and still have plenty to take care of her family this story is a beautiful example of how God provides for our needs the Widow's tiny amount of oil turned into enough to solve all her problems it shows that when we think we don't have enough God can take our small offerings and turn them into something great it's a reminder that when we're in need God is ready to fill

prophet she hoped he could help her Elisha asked her what do you have in your house she told him I don't have much at all just a small jar of olive olive oil Elisha then gave her a surprising instruction he told her go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars don't just get a few get lots of them then go inside your house with your sons shut the door and start pouring oil into all those jars the Widow did as Elisha said she and her sons gathered many jars and began pouring out the

small amount of oil she had miraculously the oil didn't run out she kept pouring and every jar was filled to the brim finally when they brought the last jar and it was filled the oil stopped flowing excited and amazed the Widow went back to Elisha to tell him what had happened he told her go sell the oil and pay off your debts you and your sons can live on what's left over with the sale of the oil she had enough money to pay every debt and still have plenty to take care of her family this

long time ago During a severe God spoke to Elijah a prophet and told him to go to a town called zarap God said that a widow there would take care of him when Elijah reached the Town Gate he saw a widow Gathering sticks Elijah called out to her and asked could you bring me a little water in a jar so I may have a drink as she was going to get the water Elijah added and please bring me a piece of bread too the Widow stopped and turned to Elijah with worry she said as surely

as the Lord your God Lives I don't have any bread only a handful of flour and a jar and a little oil and a jug I am Gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son that we may eat it and then we will die Elijah told her don't be afraid go home and do as you said but first make a small loaf of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me then make something for yourself and your son for this is what the Lord

the god of Israel says the jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the Lord sends rain on the land even though she was scared and had very little the Widow chose to trust Elijah in God's promise she went home and used the last bit of her flour and oil to bake a small loaf of bread for Elijah then a miracle happened every day there was enough flour and oil in the jars to make bread for Elijah the Widow and her son the jars

much at all just a small jar of olive oil Elicia then gave her a surprising instruction he told her go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars don't just get a few get lots of them then go inside your house with your sons shut the door and start pouring oil into all those jars the Widow did as Elisha said she and her sons gathered many jars and began pouring out the small amount of oil she had miraculously the oil didn't run out she kept pouring and every jar was filled to the brim finally

little oil in a jug I am Gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son that we may eat it and then we will die Elijah told her don't be afraid go home and do as you said but first make a small loaf of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me then make something for yourself and your son for this is what the Lord the god of Israel says the jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not

away leaving her with a lot of debt the people she owed money to were very strict and they told her that if she didn't pay back what she owed they would take her two sons away to become servants feeling desperate and not knowing what to do the Widow went to see Elisha the prophet she hoped he could help her Elisha asked her what do you have in your house she told him I don't have much at all just a small jar of olive olive oil Elisha then gave her a surprising instruction he told her go

around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars don't just get a few get lots of them then go inside your house with your sons shut the door and start pouring oil into all those jars the Widow did as Elisha said she and her sons gathered many jars and began pouring out the small amount of oil she had miraculously the oil didn't run out she kept pouring and every jar was filled to the brim finally when they brought the last jar and it was filled the oil stopped flowing excited and amazed the Widow went back

to Elisha to tell him what had happened he told her go sell the oil and pay off your debts you and your sons can live on what's left over with the sale of the oil she had enough money to pay every debt and still have plenty to take care of her family this story is a beautiful example of how God provides for our needs the Widow's tiny amount of oil turned into enough to solve all her problems it shows that when we think we don't have enough God can take our small offerings and turn them

heart God will bless us abundantly he will ensure that we always have enough of everything we need so that we can continue to do good work and help others this means that our generosity can lead to financial blessings and breakthroughs as God promises to take care of us and provide for us generously a long time ago During a severe famine God spoke to Elijah a prophet and told him to go to a town called zarap God said that a widow there would take care of him when Elijah reached the Town Gate he saw a widow

Gathering Elijah called out to her and asked could you bring me a little water in a jar so I may have a drink as she was going to get the water Elijah added and please bring me a piece of bread too the Widow stopped and turned to Elijah with worry she said as surely as the Lord your God Lives I don't have any bread only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug I am Gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son

that we may eat it and then we will die Elijah told her don't be afraid go home and do as you said but first make a small loaf of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me then make something for yourself and your son for this is what the Lord the god of Israel says the jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the Lord sends rain on the land even though she was scared and had very little the Widow

chose to trust Elijah and God's promise she went home and used the last bit of her flour and oil to bake a small loaf of bread for Elijah then a miracle happened every day there was enough flour and oil in the jars to make bread for Elijah the Widow and her son the jars never ran out of flour and oil just as God had promised through Elijah The Widow's initial hesitation turned into an amazing Act of Faith and generosity because she trusted God and gave what little she had she and her son had enough food
