[Music] what what [Music] hello my dear friends today is a day filled with great celebration pride and joy but have you ever wondered how this day came to be well I'm sure that's what you're here to learn so in today's episode let's travel back in time and uncover the fascinating history of American Independence Day zoom in Once Upon a Time the great land of America was a collection of colonies ruled by the British Empire though these colonies were growing rapidly however their growth came with a sense of Injustice as the British government treated the people
unfairly by imposing heavy taxes on everyday items like tea sugar people Etc and the local colonists had no say in these decisions on top of that British soldiers were stationed in their homes a practice known as quartering that required the colonists to provide food lodging and other accommodations to the soldiers this intrusion into their homes and personal space made the colonists feel like their privacy was being violated and that rights were being infringed upon as a result the brave colonists decided to protest against these unfair practices and began to demand freedom and fair treatment they
wanted to have a say in how their own government worked and make choices that would shape their own destiny and be in charge of their own lives but the britishers weren't giving up without a fight and imposed stricter rules to control the growing resistance and as tensions escalated a group of Brave Freedom Fighters like George Washington Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin emerged as leaders and dedicated their lives to the cause of Independence they organize meetings and discussions rallying their fellow colonists to stand up against the British rule but the colonists soon realized that simply fighting
wasn't enough to achieve their goals they understood the importance of declaring their independence in writing to explain their reasons and seek support from other nations this led to a significant event on July 4th 1776 when a group of Representatives known as the Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence the Declaration of Independence was a document drafted by a committee led by Thomas Jefferson it was an important statement that expressed the colonists desire to be free from British rule what people from all 13 colonies put their signatures on this historic document demonstrating the unity and commitment
to the cause of Independence however the British government did not accept the Declaration leading to further struggles undeterred the colonists continued their fight for independence they faced numerous challenges and hardships but remained resilient in their pursuit of Freedom the Revolutionary War which had been ongoing since 1775 intensified as the colonists rallied together against the powerful British forces through their determination courage and sacrifices they ultimately achieved victory over Great Britain in 1783. and since then independence day is celebrated every year on July 4th to remember the brave columnists who fought for freedom and honor the principles
