the examiner to keep his distance since he cannot guarantee his safety The Examiner sigh at the Foolish Pride that Lotto displays but steps back and declares the start of the match without a moment's delay Lotto fires one of the most powerful Fireballs that he is capable of firing and it is aimed straight at guards head seeing it flying towards guard Lotto thinks that it is the highest Firepower that he can master and he will be sure to crush guard in a single hit however even in the face of such a fireball guard is unfaced he

does not panic or hesitate and merely raises his hand as his palm is turned towards the incoming Fireball the moment he touches his Pam he closes his fingers into a fist and the fireball disappears in an instant Lotto is so surprised at what had happened that it takes him a moment to just process it in his brain he feels a slight sensation of fear Rising through his spine as he asks how guard had destroyed his magic simply with his hand The Examiner and the audience are left speechless too on seeing the huge Fireball disappear instantly

as if it had never actually existed Lotto makes a scared face and asks what he has done guard sigh and straightens his gloves he takes a step forward as he looks lotto in the eyes and asks if that is all he has got the murderous look in his eyes drives Lotto insane with fear with Madness taking over his mind he screams out and starts spamming the Fireballs one after another as they all Rush towards gourd thinking he would be sure to win with this Lotto Smiles but guard simply sze and says that Lotto simply never

learns he swipes his hands in front of him destroying the Fireballs in a single slash this amazes the entire audience lot's legs are trembling as he realizes that the gap between them is way too much he starts pulling at his hair as he wonders what he should do as he starts getting more and more afraid he looks at guard with a fearful smile and asks him to stop resisting and Just Surrender he says he will let him work for their family again if guard does that and he will even ask his father to reinstate him

he is sweating and nervousness is visible in every gesture he makes lattos tells him it is not a bad offer and hopes he will take it guard looks down and after some thought says that it is a well-made offer indeed this brings a smile to lot's face however guard immediately says after that that although it might be a good offer he will pass on it with a raised hand he casts a ball lot's lips are upturned as he wonders just why in hell the very same magic spell that they both had used seem so much

more powerful with guard using it he tries to salvage the situation and remembers he has to put up and activate his defensive magic as a last resort he forms a magic barrier in front of him but his effort is futile as the fireball that guard had made SM mashes through the barrier like it was never even there with devastating force it hits lotto in the gut sending him crashing into the wall behind him the audience is surprised at the brutal knockout The Examiner regains his composure in a moment and declares that the winner is guard

again guard realizes that he had overdone it again but he knows that it was a necessity to go this far to teach Lotto a lesson meanwhile Lotto is lying on the ground around leaning against the wall crying as he realizes he has completely lost to guard the fact that he had lost against someone he had always considered trash was enough to shatter his Common Sense meanwhile back in count TR lands the count is staring in horror at the state of his territory he is reminded of when guard had told them and repeatedly tried to convince

him that he had never been skipping work and that he was really getting rid of monsters every every day this is when the count realizes that guard had actually been telling the truth after all the count had never thought that so many monsters would start to appear right after he had banished him the count reluctantly realizes with gritted teeth and an angry expression that he needs to bring guard back after the examiner declares that guard has won the third round guard is confused and walks over to him he tells him that he had won the

third round and enter the top 16 so he asks if this meant that he had passed the exam The Examiner tells him that he did indeed pass and will be granted entrance into the academy however the matches will still continue this is because the winner and the top performers will receive scholarships scholarship students will receive support from the academy to conduct research if guard got a scholarship then his magic research could progress faster two knowing that he decides to aim for the top spot and clenches his fist with determination after the results have been announced

the examiner says that all those who made it to the top 16 will gather and compete in one place so he is requested to proceed to the competition location guard walks out of his Arena and realizes that the earlier information essentially means that all the examinees who will be gathered at the next place are the ones who have passed he hopes he finds Yuri and Sasha there suddenly the bold man who had been watching him from the beginning of the matches walks over to him and calls out at the moment that guard turns around the

old man thrusts his walking stick forward aiming for guard's throat at an insane speed with his immediate reaction speed guard is thankfully able to dodge it by tilting his head back but he knows that the stick would have hit him if he had not dodged it the old man clicks his tongue as he retracts his stick guard asks him if there is something he needs from him the old man tells him that he can stop there and that he does not need to go to the next exam guard is a bit confused and says he

does not quite understand why the old man is saying this the old man says that it would be problematic if a commoner becomes a scholarship student guard stares at him as he hears these words the old man could continues and says that they had a reputation to uphold as the world's top magic Academy and thus guard will be attending the academy as the lowest ranked student guard is surprised at this but does not show it on his face instead he feels a slight bit of anger and irritation from repeatedly being hit in the face with

the fact that he is a commoner and is tired of the discrimination at this point he looks firmly at the old man and asks with all due respect just what kind of authority the old man had to be telling him to do all this the old man smashes his stick into the ground releasing a dangerous shock wave of magic power through the ground guard feels his threatening stair as he declares that he is the Headmaster of the academy with dangerously dark eyes the Headmaster tells guard that all he has to do is obey and not

put up a fuss or cause a commotion guard simply sigh at hearing all this and says that he understands their conversations end while Sasha and Yuri are left wondering why they could not find guard around among the 16 students the next day Yuri and Sasha are jogging in the classroom together Sasha is complaining as she says that even if it is the first day of school Yuri is way too excited and should slow down Yuri hesitantly mutters that she cannot help but worry because she does not even know if guard has passed or not as

they open the classroom door guard notices them and vice versa he waves at them with a smile and greets them good morning congratulating them on having made it through the entrance examinations Yuri is almost on the verge of tears as she sees guard and rushes up to hug him she is thankful to the heavens that guard has passed to guard is confused and surprised seeing this intimate gesture and ask asks Sasha what is happening Sasha scratches the back of her head and explains that since guard had not appeared for the scholership matches Yuri had thought

that he had failed the exams and had been worried about him Sasha mimics how Yuri had acted searching for him as if fearing that they will never be able to see each other again Yuri is embarrassed as Sasha says that and shouts out shil Sasha apologizes with an amused expression but says that she knew he would never fail and that there must have been a reason behind why he did not participate in the final test she was sure that if it was him he would have been able to claim the scholarship he wonders if he

should tell them but remembering the scary eyes that the Headmaster had made yesterday he decides that it will be better not to say anything he just awkwardly lies that a lot had happened and he changes topics to ask about why they have different uniforms Sasha explains that red uniforms are for the lowest ranked students while white uniforms are for the general students and yellow uniforms are for the scholarship students she tells guard that he must have become a low ranked student just because he did not participate in the last test meanwhile Yuri proudly says that

she has become a scholarship student and it is all thanks to his muscle power he smiles and tells her that I was not because of that but because she had worked hard and congratulates her meanwhile there is a student sitting at the back of the classroom who is jealous and irritated at the lowest ranked student guard for acting with such contempt in his position he is Whispering to himself about how guard should know his place as a failure and that he should devote all his time to study in just then he notices the books below

the desk and decides to do something that will trouble guard later just then the door opens and their teacher arrives she introduces herself as Elia a magic researcher and informs them that she will be their home room teacher starting from that day the students are happy they have such a beautiful and adorable teacher however guard is more aware of the fact that since she is a teacher of the academy she must also be a subordinate of the Headmaster and he needs to be careful to avoid drawing attention the teacher tells them to check their textbooks

which have been kept under their table however when guard reaches down to grab his textbooks he realizes that they are missing seeing his face Yuri who is sitting beside him asks what the matter is he is about to say something but hears sounds of laughing behind him he sees students wearing glasses who have stolen his books and have two sets on his table the student is also smiling at him maliciously although guard has no idea why he had done that he calmly and cooly decides to ask Yuri to lend him her Textbooks For a Moment

although he did not want to stand out he would have no choice if things kept proceeding like this Yuri readily hands over the textbooks while the students behind stare at him in confusion wondering just what he is trying to accomplish the teacher has already started inspec the students at their tables to ensure that all of them have their textbooks guard takes this opportunity to hover his left hand beside the books while his right hand goes down under his desk using an advanced copy skill he makes perfect copies of the books that Yuri had lent him

the guy behind him who had stolen the books is shocked and wonders just how he could do Advanced magic even though he was a failure just then the teacher comes around and asks why he seems to have two copies of the textbooks he's flustered and replies hastily that he has got an extra for some reason the teacher suspects something but does not say much after checking all the distributed text box she informs them that they will be having a test and they should put down all of their textbooks the students started murmuring among themselves how

the test was happening out of the blue guard is worried because he knows nothing about the common sense of this era and wonders if he will be able to answer all the questions the teacher tells them that the test will consist of three subjects that are Japanese mathematics and Magic science she starts The Hour Glass after Distributing the test papers and the test begins after a while of writing and worried Expressions the test finally ends the teacher tells them to put down their pens and collects their papers when while everyone is leaving guard is sitting

there thinking that everything is quite easy the grammar and the formulas were the same as they were 600 years ago and the magic science test consisted of intermediate magic questions only so they were pretty easily answerable he thinks that everyone will be getting a full score on the test that had been conducted that day Sasha walks over to discuss the questions and says that all the questions were very hard and even your agrees with her guard puts his head down and starts getting worried he says that the questions were too easy surprising both Sasha and

Yuri guard realizes he has messed up by answering all of them correctly and hopes he does not end up drawing any unwanted attention after finishing his first day at the Academy he starts heading to the dorm apparently remelon magic Academy was a board in school and the students would stay at the Academy while they pursue their academic interests and research guard is happy to know that he can finally settle down and conduct research on Magic in what is likely the best environment of the era asking for directions from a teacher he walks over wondering what

kind of room he will be getting to his utter surprise the dorm room that he sees is not even worthy of being called a dorm room it is barely good enough to even be called a Hut or a wooden house assembled out of broke planks ignoring that he decides to go in and opens the door to find two people already inside both of them have faces filled with Gloom and despair as they welcome him to the backyard storage shed that is the dormitory of the lowest ranked students seeing the place from the inside he realizes

that it is completely torn but at least the roof is still intact this is far better than sleeping under the Open Sky after all walking to a corner where there is hay stacked to make a rough mattress he asks if that is his living space the long-haired boy who had welcomed him says that he should probably give him some advice as a senior and warns him to prepare himself well because the lowest ranked students will face discrimination at every turn further the academy does not even care about it and tolerates it perfectly the lowest ranked

students are like commoners from a Noble's persp perspective mere targets of discrimination the two of them who had welcomed him are discussing how they wish to return to their Hometown and that 3 million Academy should just explode guard looks around the place and thinks for a bit after a moment of thought he smiles and addresses his seniors asking them if it is fine with them if he renovates the dorm room a bit both of them do not mind so guard politely requests them to wait outside while he does so the two of them wonder what

exactly must be wrong with him and just what he is trying to renovate the long-haired guy who had warned guard about the hardships ahead smiles and tells the other not to think so pessimistically he says they should at least cheer their Junior on since he was trying his best the other person dreamily looks up at the sky and wonders what kind of dorm room the normal students must be living in he thinks that they must have their own room rooms a study friendly environment and a fluffy bed too and they probably even have a large

shared bath that can be used at any time however looking at the shed that they called their dorm room their expressions dried up as they realized how harsh and cruel reality was while they are busy having all these thoughts guard is inside getting started using the magic named reform he starts moving everything inside clears space and rearranges things he knows it will be Troublesome if it stands out and gets noticed by the academy so he only focuses on renovating the interior suddenly there's a loud noise and lights Flash from inside that the two seniors watch

speechlessly while they wait outside just then everything stops and guard opens the door to welcome them inside after thanking them for waiting patiently they do not expect much and are okay as long as it has not gotten worse than before however contrary to their expectations they are completely mind blown the insides were so transformed that it was nearly unrecognizable everything was sparkling clean and new what had once been a Shabby storage like room had now transformed into a cozy dorm with a private room perfect for living the prickly straw bed that used to poke them

at night had been replaced with a soft Memory Foam bed that cradles him perfectly the homework that they used to do on their lap while sitting cross-legged could now progress smoothly at a proper study desk and chair the old crumbling floor and walls full of holes were now sparkling clean so there were no more cold drafts and there would not be any more creepy crawly bugs either guard leads them to a specific room and tells them to have a look the two seniors who are already surprised beyond words Wonder just what what else there could

be they are absolutely amazed to find that guard has even made a nicely large shared bath that they can use they asked him if he has done all of this with his magic after all they had never heard of any kind of magic that could do something like this one of them even doubtful questions if he is really the lowest ranked student he smiles and says that he is indeed the lowest ranked student the both of them have tears in their eyes and they rush in to embrace him out of gratitude thanking him profusely one

of them even asks him to let him call guard a master Artisan guard awkwardly Smiles on seeing the heartfelt expression of their gratitude he's simply glad that they both look happy as compared to their gloomy sad expressions from earlier and thus a new part of his life starts at the remelon magic Academy as a bottom feeder student and you you know what I find nice all the comments saying not be why don't you do part 2 3 4 5 anymore even after I say we've recapped all the chapters like we did here some Bros are
