On the morning of the first day of school I'm making a smoothie bowl and leave I ate all the blueberries, so I only added mango and strawberries. I didn't have maple syrup, so I substituted oligosaccharides. It's more watery than usual because I didn't add any blueberries.
I added mango and a few nuts as toppings. I eat while checking off a few things for today's class and to-do list. It's a nut mix, so it had some dried cranberries in it, but when it hit the cold smoothie, it got really hard.
I have to bring in a bunch of new textbooks, so I need to keep things as simple as possible. I wanted to dress up for the first day of school, but it was too hot, so I just wore something comfortable. I don't know why we have to buy new textbooks every semester, they're really expensive.
I bought 7 books and it cost me $220. My first class starts at 1:00, and I have a lot of time to kill, so I come to Starbucks. I ordered a white chocolate mocha, which I really wanted.
It's about 10:30am and I'm going to spend the rest of the day doing some YouTube stuff. I said I'd pack light and brought my laptop. .
. lol I realized my laptop battery was down to 16% and I hadn't brought my charger. I had to switch to battery saver mode and hope the battery wouldn't die by the time I was done.
I looked at my battery level, got depressed, and realized I didn't have time for this. Type as fast as I can I'm a slow English typist, so I was a little worried about that. And I was able to get everything done when I had 6% battery left.
Lunch was a simple sandwich at Starbucks. You stop at a convenience store because you don't think you can resist another cup of coffee. That matcha tea is my favorite these days.
I ate a jelly bean in between classes, and then I went home for two more classes. I bought a new cereal and it's really good - it's great with milk or as a topping on yogurt. I was a little pressed for time, so I grabbed my bag while I ate.
I bought a sweet potato at the grocery store the day before that said it was sweet, but it wasn't sweet at all, and it was very mushy. I don't have time, but my clothes have too many buttons. When I can't be bothered to pick out an outfit, my favorite thing to wear is a one-size-fits-all dress.
I'm taking a new course this semester called Oral Histology & Embryology On my way home, I saw a new can of highballs, so I grabbed one. It tasted like tangerine. The usual plan at the start of the semester: don't procrastinate on note-taking and studying.
There are a few new classes I'm taking this semester that are a bit challenging, and one of them is Oral Histology & Embryology, which we learned about today. It's a harder feel of biology in high school, and I was a literature major in high school, not a science major, so it's harder. Some of my friends used to do science, so they're used to it.
. . .
🥹 I realized while studying that there's something to be said for refillable notebooks. I like that I don't have to buy multiple notebooks because I can mix and match subjects and sort them later. Instead, you'll now have to buy multiple refills.
I decided to focus on not increasing the number of notebooks. . lol 📓 I haven't made a latte at home in a long time.
The last time I made a latte at home, it didn't really taste good, so I haven't made one in a while, but today I wanted a latte and it was raining outside and I didn't want to go outside, so I made one. Organize your schedule & write a procrastination diary This time around, I'm going to change the way I study and take notes. There's one thing that takes me longer than cleaning before I start studying: picking a playlist to listen to while I study.
The song has to have no lyrics and I have to like the thumbnail to be selected as the playlist of the day. The playlist I listened to that day was a jazz playlist with a coffee shop vibe. I don't have any classes today, so I'm going to study the lessons from the previous day.
A fun way to study early in the semester is to use different notes, pens, and highlighters than you're used to. When you start studying with a new and different writing utensil than you've used before, you can't wait to write something new. I bought a writing instrument that I liked when I saw it, and I wanted it to look nice on my desk and I wanted to use it.
How's your week going, everyone? I'm trying to get back into the swing of things and procrastinate as little as possible. I don't know how long this effort will last, but I hope it's at least until midterms.
That way, I'll naturally be able to study during finals week without falling behind. I'm sad that I have less time to read since going back to school, but I'm also replacing it with the joy of buying books. 😅 That's all for today, and thank you for taking the time to watch this video.
