Faith over feelings

God why do you feel so far away from me I know you said you're always with me but it doesn't feel that way I can see you I can't hear you and I can't feel you right now is a sign too much to ask for right now I just need to know if you are with me because I genuinely need [Music] you I don't understand you of little faith why are you seeking for experiences and feelings of the flesh to accept that I am who I say I am will you only believe that I am

with you when you feel me will you only believe that I am for you when you see me move in your life if so child that's not a solid foundation to build our relationship off of I don't want you to only believe in me me when I do things for you or when you can feel my presence I want you to know me and trust in me even when I don't feel near I know at times it may feel like when you're going through the most that's when I'm most absent but that's actually when I'm

the closest to you but you don't know that because you don't know me I am close to the Brokenhearted and I save the crushed Spirits I'm testing your faith in me you can have a beautiful experience of me and once that experience passes doubt can still shake you but if you grow and mature in faith nothing can shake you I don't want you to live by experiences and feelings you've been doing that for some time now and you can see how how living in your feelings can take you to the road of disaster and disappointment

feelings are out of control and they can't be trusted same with thoughts so trust me instead if your thoughts are full of lies and you know the truth you'll stop giving into the lies of the enemy and of the flesh child I never want you to walk in your feelings walking with me is walking by faith your feelings change your experiences change but true faith is unshakable regardless of your experiencing wow okay I hear you I have been living by my feelings when fear arises I let it overwhelm me and control me instead of having

faith in what you told me about fear you told me not to be scared because you are with me but God when I can't feel that you are with me in times where my feelings overwhelm me it's hard to put my faith over them at times so how do I grow in faith get to know me know my character know my promises and know my word I want you to trust me but you can't trust someone you don't know begin to value and live by faith over your feelings your thoughts and feelings can lie to

you so you should not follow them I never told you to follow your heart the world did that a world Ran by A deceiver follow me I am the way for my words are truth and the truth will set you free take my words to be the truth over your own thoughts and feelings and do not lean on your own understanding I know the unknown can be scary for you but the more faith you have in me the more you fall in love with knowing I have your back and there is nothing to worry about

now you've been doubting that I'm not with you at times but be sure of this I am with you always even to the End of the Age how many of us fall into doubt some times when we can't feel God's presence or we haven't experienced God in a while so we're not sure if he's actually with us it can happen to the best of us we all know this walk with God can be difficult at times but it's in these difficult times that our faith is tested but in these times our faith has the most

potential to grow very very strong to the point where it's eventually unshakable this means no feeling thought or life circumstance can throw your trust in God out the window the story of job is a perfect example of unshakable Faith even though he lost his family and everything he ever had and experienced so much pain from his life situations not once did he lose his faithfulness in God none of us are perfect so it's okay if we struggle with this but we can seek to build powerful faith in God by getting to know him more and

that will allow us to trust him more so why not make the decision right now from here on out to work on living in faith and not living in your feelings because if you need to feel God just to have faith in God you have a superficial faith in God and you don't actually trust him fully and don't feel guilty for not trusting him fully every believer has their moments of distrust definitely when you're just beginning your walk with God but this is crucial for everyone to walk by faith and not in our feelings and

it is a choice you'll have to make every day so are we going to listen to the lies of the flesh that will lead us to death or listen to the truth of God that gives us life for those who are struggling with anxiety overthinking depression Etc when you begin to walk by faith those lies that you have been walking in begin to lose their power because when you walk in faith you're walking in the truth you're walking with God and the truth is what sets you free one powerful Revelation I had about truth is

that the truth is not about what I say or what you say the truth is God he's the embodiment of truth it's about what he says and this makes sense because truth is objective just like morality we get morality from God and we get the truth from God and when you accept Christ into your life you receive the spirit of Truth Jesus says even the spirit of Truth whom the world cannot receive because it neither sees him nor knows him you know him for he dwells with you and will be in you the Holy Spirit

guides you to the truth he's what makes scripture comes to life for you when I didn't have the Holy Spirit the Bible was just words in a book and sin was just an idea but when you receive the holy spirit all of it comes to life because the truth is revealed to you but back to walking in faith many of us are walking in lies which comes from our feelings and thoughts for example if you have been believing your whole life that you are unworthy you're walking in a lie because remember God is the truth

and God said you are worthy and valuable and he expresses how much he values you and loves you and when you stop waking by your feelings and you put Faith in what he says to be true about you you'll be set free from that lie that you are unworthy if you think you aren't loved you are living in lies if you think God isn't with you right now because you don't feel him you are living in lies because he said the opposite is true put your faith in the word of God over your own feelings

and I promise you will start recognizing the power of Faith quickly its power is shown all throughout the Bible the woman who touched Jesus's garment was healed because she believed that if she just touched a piece of Jesus's clothes she would be healed Jesus said it was your faith that healed you it wasn't his clothes this one example alone shows how it's by faith we are healed and delivered from the things we struggle with so my brothers and sisters it's faith that should guide our journey with God not our feelings in moments of Doubt when

God's presence feels distant we must remember that he is always with us even if we can't see hear or feel him because he said so and his word is the truth trusting God based on fleeting emotions leads to instability but strong faith provides a solid foundation true Faith transforms and heals as seen throughout the Bible build a personal relationship with God through prayer scripture and Quiet Moments with him trust in in God's truth over your own thoughts and feelings and you'll begin experiencing the freedom and peace that comes from walking in faith
